Immune, yes but still not like they were "respectful". I do agree was pretty epic overall though.
-
No they weren't respectful to any opponent. They literally showed our four lost superbowls. Pretty much As much as disrespectful they could be to us. Digging up the same crap everyone does. 4 time superbowl losers.. My favorite was the Lions gambling helpline one. You guys see the Jags schedule release one? That was pretty hilarious..

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?

No Beane said they weren't going to try to trade for him tomorrow. Said they were focusing on the draft. He also basically said he isn't saying nothing will or won't happen after the draft. Just focused on the draft right now. The actual interview starts at 4hr:04min -
Players you Absolutely Want the Bills to Draft
dje85 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure anyone is drafting Washington in the first due to medicals. Could have a Gronk-esque fall due to them. Charlie Campbell @DraftCampbell · Apr 24 Per team sources: - Eagles are calling about trading up from 10 in the 6-8 range for Jalen Carter - Eagles like Van Ness - Texans love Bijan - Sam LaPorta hurt by medical - Multiple teams medically flunked Darnell Washington & dropped him off their board -
Most people are saying roughly 11:45 as long as we don;t trade up or down. Based on past drafts that's roughly when the pick we have has picked.

They are all going off the same one radio dj's claim. I don't believe it. Could see it happening, but I don't believe it based on the source. -

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?

The cap is projected to go 30 Million higher based on new tv revenue next year. Joe Buscalia covered this in his latest articles "The draft files Part I". "The NFL contract experts at OverTheCap.com project the 2024 cap to go up by over $30 million from the $224.8 million figure this year. And with that in mind, before the Tyler Bass extension, the Bills were already $1 million under next year’s projected cap without any contract restructuring or rollover cap space from 2023. And they have options. They can restructure Josh Allen’s contract again, which would clear over $20 million. And they have a lot of options of cutting players with substantial cap savings for 2024, and not all of them are the core assets. So why is this important? For contract extensions, it’s everything, and the Bills have the means to get at least one meaningful contract, if not more, done for the 2024 season." - Joe Buscalia -

Wow, I didn't realize the 34 million wasn't guaranteed in that Cardinals contract. I think Beane realizes we need to get over that hump I feel just like with Von Miller we would find a way if Hopkins was willing to play ball with us. Though if he wasn't I do agree a straight 34 million would be a tough pill to swallow. -

I don't think the Bills would be out on him if he was cut. The Cards would still be on the hook for a large portion of his next contract. I also believe we have contracts we could extend or players cut etc in order to get Hopkins a fair market value with the right contract wording. -
Yeah, I misread the guarantee as his base salary when I saw it on twitter my bad. Still he is getting close to veteran minimums (according to spotrac that is 1.16m)for a 9 year veteran with some bonus incentives. (And yes I considered workout bonuses and game roster actives as incentives regardless if they cost against the cap because you have to be on the roster to get them they are not part of the base salary I was talking about). 1.805 compared to 1.165 isn't a large jump contract wise. But this is all moot considering I was just using him as an example earlier that many players get less than what their true market value should be due to age / injury. Which I am sure you knew. I am not debating that you didn't. Just posted where I got my numbers from contract wise because you asked.

Aaron Wilson @AaronWilson_NFL · 1h #Bills deal for Jordan Phillips one-year, $1.805 million salary $720,000 guaranteed), $500,000 signing bonus after passing physical, $35,000 per game active roster bonus, up to $595,000, $100K offseason workout bonus, playtime incentive up to $750K, sacks incentive up to $850K
-
I can agree with that I didn't mean they were getting veteran minimums but they are getting less than what their talent would be worth based on comparable stats and production at the position due to age and injury history. A healthy Phillips is well worth the deal we signed him to last year meanwhile he is only getting 750k plus incentives in his one year deal this year. Which if isn't the veteran minimum it is low enough to make my point stand.
-
Eh, age and injury has a big effect. You can be talented and still end up getting vet mins. See our very own Shaq Lawson and Jordan Phillips for examples. I won't lie a lot of my criteria is personal eye test and probably has some bias towards Bills players due to watching them more. But, I still argue many posters on this board act like our players are scrubs and every other teams players are gods.
-
Obviously not everyone realizes this or I wouldn;t have had an all day argument with individuals attacking my take we had better weapons that just weren't used correctly or injured. Instead claiming how bad our wrs are compared to KC's and that we need to get all new weapons because that's how KC did it. Insead of realizing KC schemes to the players to get open and quickly.
-
My argument was that KC schemes better and gets more out of worse talent which in my opinion you proved with your numbers. They got better numbers out of worse talent. Mahomes makes more out of less. As for free agency figures I could care less. Every year players are paid well more than they are worth. Look at Zay Jones and Christian Kirk. They got paid insane money that same contract year. But much like with whorlnut (who I have on ignore now due to his condescending childish tone while debating with me) I am done arguing this junk. Agree to disagree. It is just my opinion that they make bad players look better and great players look even better with there exemplary offensive scheming. I feel even their oline is made to look better because they get the ball out so quickly. Our oline would have looked better if Allen didn't hold the ball so long out of necessity due to his arm injury and only throwing the ball deep to prevent increased elbow injury.
-
Still put up quality wr 2 stats - 836 yards 7 tds. You act like he didn't still put up good numbers.
-
If you are healthy and can run and jump it effects your body position for where you catch the ball also the ability to separate from the cb so the catches are easier.. Absolutely effects catching. Whoops yourself. Still would take Shakiir over Moore. Keep thinking your opinion and condescending tone is more relevant than mine that is your right and I disagree with it.
-
I think you just are over critical on our group as you watch them all the time and can pick them apart easier. I wouldn;t take JuJu or Hardman over a healthy Gabe Davis. Davis played hurt last season. Even hurt he still played at a similar level. Sky Moore isn't good at all. You liked him last draft I am assuming and kept that crush.. We had a very solid roster last season our oc just got locked into poor schemes because Allen got hurt early with the elbow issue and they didn;t want to stress it with many short throws. Hence why our game plan was all deep balls and play action runs. I will agree they probably had better rbs I forgot about Pacheco. But wrs? Nope and my argument was we minus diggs they minus kelce they have way less weapons which I still believe. The Cjiefs are just better at scheming their players open and when not Mahomes does mroe with less to make crazy things happen. I'm done arguing though I don;t agree with your bad take and you can disagree with what you feel is my bad take.
-
Juju is average the guys we were bringing off the street are as good or better than him. If they werent older vets they would be getting those contracts as well. All Juju has for him is age. Gabe Davis on the open market would of gotten the top contract this year similar to the crazy bucks wrs were getting last year. But, I'm done arguing you won't agree with me and I'm sure as heck not agreeing with you as I'm certain I am correct.
-
You are telling me he had better / more offensive weapons on that Chiefs offense than the Bills did last year. I'm not arguing he had an amazing oline. I am saying weapons wise the Bills had way more, and still have way more. I disagree majorly here. Minus Diggs for us and Kelce for them we still have/ had better running backs and wrs and a top te in Knox. We just couldn;t scheme well as Allen was hurt and couldn't throw short passes well. So everything had to be deep passes and poor run calls w/out a lot of screens etc.
-
Diggs is always going to want the ball more and Allen is always going to want to carry the team on their back it is their alpha mentality not a weapons / roster issue. We could win the Superbowl and if either of them didn't take league mvp they would feel the same.
-
Okay, so it is just you making an assumption. Good to know. I wasn't taking a shot at you I was just curious if I had missed quotes or otherwise. I don;t feel the wr corps was that bad. Mahomes does more with less. I think we had an oc problem more than our wr corps 9the guy our qb wanted so I doubt he had an issuewith him as he backed him to be the oc in the first place). I expect a better offense overall come next season with some experience under his belt. Yes, our oline is / was horrid I can agree there but we have already address the biggest issue which was Saffold who allowed interior push and bullrushes like a turnstile at the train station. Killing any chance Allen had at a pocket most the season.
-
When has Allen shown he is unhappy with the weapons or line? For that matter Diggs..? Did I miss a quote towards the end of last season or this offseason? If anything both seemed unhappy with themselves like they somehow need to up their game. Diggs upping his game by getting the ball more to help carry the offense and Allen being Allen thinking he needs to carry the team on his back. Which both think every year. Only people unhappy with the offensive line or weapons openly are the fans. All I've seen is a Diggs tweet saying Gabe Davis has wr1 potential and Beasley blaming the defensive collapse not the offense that scored plenty enough points to win.

I don't think he makes it out of the top couple picks in the second round. Pittsburg has the first pick in the second round and a glaring need at lb. The rams have a glaring hole at lb among a ton of other positions, The Saints have a big need, and a the Vikings. That's off the top of my head. There may be a couple other teams.
