  1. Greggo has never had a game plan outside of injuring people. Dude wouldn’t even have a Super Bowl without bountygate.
  2. That Diggs grab is the type of play no one makes last year.
  3. They’ve been far from perfect, and still up big. That’s definitely a good sign.
  4. If he doesn’t get deep balls opportunities, and a decent amount of targets, I think he will have an issue. With that said, everything is going well, so I can’t complain.
  5. I get that, just not a fan of so many QB run calls. The last drive was much better. I want Allen to be Allen, not Lamar Jackson. His arm is way too good to risk his health on a bunch of called runs.
  6. Five yards throws, and QB runs. We haven’t used a RB yet. Daboll has no sense of a balanced offense.
  7. This is why I don’t like Daboll. We have RB’s and Diggs, so we’re making Allen into a runner ?
  8. Exactly, I get his frustration, but there’s no point in questioning consistency or common sense anymore. It’s not going to get Mongo or any of us very far. I’ve found myself happier since I’ve made the choice not to question what makes sense. He’s a football player and competitor, so I understand how frustrating it must be for him. With that said, it’s just the way it is right now.
  9. I’ll agree to disagree on that one. Buffalo fans are often overly sensitive, but you might want to look up information on Bon Jovi’s Toronto group if you don’t believe the team would have moved. It’s all in the past, and I couldn’t care less, but it’s not realistic to say that wasn’t the likely intent. The group even conducted a feasibility study for building a stadium in Toronto. There was plenty of evidence beyond Rogers being involved.
  10. He’d still get another year to prove himself imo. I think he’d be given a break because this team isn’t going 4-12, regardless of how he plays. It’s easy to keep a mediocre performing QB around when his team is posting winning records, and making playoff appearances. It’s also difficult to just replace a guy. They wouldn’t even begin to look at other options until after the 2021 season.
  11. That sums it up. I think there’s an old school mindset among football fans and people in the game because the old phrase, “defense wins championships”. Obviously it’s great to have a good defense, but teams that don’t score points haven’t won Super Bowls for over a decade now. The game has changed immensely over the past couple decades, and not everyone is board with it. I like our coaching staff, and new regime at OBD. This is easily the best Bills team since the 90’s. It feels great to be excited about Bills football. I just don’t understand thinking this defense is going to carry us without improvement from the offense, and a more aggressive game plan meant to score points.
  12. I agree, playing conservatively on offense because you have a great defense doesn’t make sense. You only play conservatively on offense with a great defense if you can’t trust your offense. Our offense has the talent to win football games, and the coaches should trust them. The defense isn’t our only chance to win. This offense can be a contributor to victories. This is the 2020 NFL, it’s nice to have a good defense, but defense isn’t going to win every game. Teams like the Chiefs can be downright unstoppable, no matter what the defense does. The time always comes where you need to score points to win games in this era. As great as our defense was last season, they couldn’t shut down Watson in the second half of last year’s playoff game. We ultimately need to score more points this season, regardless of how it’s done.
  13. It’s going to look really stupid when Brees retires, and the team needs to invest in other areas. Kamara is very good, but he’s obviously not going to make up for the loss of Brees. If Brees were younger and he was locked in for years to come, I might be able to tolerate that deal for a RB. A team that won’t have a QB shouldn’t be doing that Dalvin Cook is the Vikings offense in many ways, and Cousins could be there a while. I’m ok with a big contract for Cook, although it still goes against my rule of no big time contracts for backs. The situation in Minnesota seems more favorable to Cook being a necessity. They play good defense, and ball control offense with play action being a big part of their game. The Vikings have an identity that probably won’t change anytime soon. The Saints will need to find an entirely new identity when Brees retires soon.
  14. I love baseball, but I also don’t see the market for more teams. I know expansion builds revenue, and that’s what it’s about, but there isn’t a market I can see going crazy over having a team. Talk about NBA expansion and I’d be singing a different tune. MLB already has teams in the biggest markets that have the tried and true baseball fans. I can’t see it being anything more than a novelty in the cities that are being mentioned.
  15. I’m hoping for a well rounded, diverse offensive game plan. I want to see our coaching staff get all our playmakers involved. We’re going to need that if we want to take the next step. I don’t want to hear about the coaches seeing a weakness with the Jets defense they wanted to exploit, so they go to an unbalanced game plan as a result. Daboll needs to be careful not to outsmart himself. Get everyone involved, and make sure Diggs is given a decent amount of opportunities to touch the ball. I don’t care what the defense is trying to do.
  16. They might never admit it, but I think what coaches see in practice is more valued than preseason game performance. There are so many factors that determine who makes a roster, and I’m not convinced that preseason games are a big one. What does a guys performance against a bunch of third stingers who will get cut in a week say ? You’re absolutely correct, every year we have these preseason heroes who don’t make the cut, while guys who did nothing make the team. I think college film and practice tells you more than what a player does in the disaster of a game called preseason football.
  17. Underrated for a long time because fans are harsh on anyone who doesn’t win a Super Bowl. Reid actually worked wonders in Philly with McNabb and a weak supporting cast. Reid has sustained success everywhere he goes. Now that he has a QB, we’re finally seeing what he can really do.
  18. No, people are going to talk about that game being ugly, but week one has been ugly for years, even with the preseason.
  19. Andy Reid really overthinking the need to take a two TD lead right there.
  20. Ugly game for sure, and I’ve been critical of O’Brien all evening. However, I still think the Texans have a chance in a weak AFC South. Watson is still the best QB in his division, and the clock might strike midnight on Tannehill In Tennessee. The Titans might regress, Rivers is washed up, and the Jags are a mess.
