No, people are going to talk about that game being ugly, but week one has been ugly for years, even with the preseason.

Ugly game for sure, and I’ve been critical of O’Brien all evening. However, I still think the Texans have a chance in a weak AFC South. Watson is still the best QB in his division, and the clock might strike midnight on Tannehill In Tennessee. The Titans might regress, Rivers is washed up, and the Jags are a mess.

Cobb, and Stills have the name recognition, but I’m not convinced either is that good at this point. They’re guys who can catch the ball, but not really playmakers. They have no playmakers imo.

Yeah, it’s tough for me to analyze a defense based on an opener against the Chiefs. Those guys have been unstoppable for several years. The Texans offense on the other hand is struggling against a weak Chiefs D. If I were a Texans fan, I’d be more discouraged by that.

That’s because the media has crowned Watson as a future Hall of Famer or something. I don’t want to take away from what he’s accomplished, but I’m not convinced he belongs in the Mahomes, Brees, elite category that some placed him in. Right now, he’s struggling without Hopkins against a bad defense.

He might be an even worse GM.

The best way to get over an ex WR, is to find a better one. Diggs will make you forget Watkins, I promise.

I can’t believe how run heavy Andy Reid has been tonight.

They aren’t bad, but Hopkins is a beast, as I’m sure you know. There’s just a lot to be said for having a guy you can throw the ball to in any situation. Hopkins caught passes that aren’t supposed to be caught. That’s a huge loss for any QB, and none of those guys bring that ability to the table. As a QB you don’t always need to think with a guy like Hopkins on the field. If you’re in trouble, just toss it to the elite WR.

I know Watson is a talented QB, but am I the only person who thinks there might be a very noticeable decline without Hopkins ?

Totally agree, he’s been much better in big games on the road, while big home games haven’t gone so well.

I still can’t believe the NFL didn’t make a uniform rule regarding fan attendance. It might not be a big deal in the end, but it’s just strange.

The offense is rolling. I don’t expect the D to get better. They’ll need to score a lot tonight imo.

I’m into the game. I just learned not to make any mask jokes around here, lots of sensitivity to it.

I was making a joke. I thought fans were already distanced. Why is it safe for someone to take a mask off to eat if they are at risk of infecting others the rest of the time in their seat. It was wasn’t meant to be taken seriously. Just saying I doubt in stadium mask wearing compliance is going to be very successful with people taking them off and on to eat and drink. It was a hypothetical situation joke, not my future plans.

Just saying it makes no sense, I’m not showing anyone anything. Just saying it’s safe to sit in the same seat without a mask if I’m drinking, but it’s not safe when I’m not eating drinking ? I understand the concourse, but wow. It should be like restaurants, if you’re in your seat you don’t need a mask. The world has lost its collective mind, and has no common sense.

I’m not sure anyone knows the answer to that question.

All for show, I agree. It’s like making fans wear them. What in the world is stopping me from drinking beer all game so I never have to put my mask on ? I mean, the fans are kind of distanced anyway. Masks in your seat at the game make no sense imo. I get the concourse area.
