  1. Under Greg Roman after Watkins went public about getting the football. The passing game remained inconsistent but there were deep shots coupled with a top rushing attack.... which is my problem with Daboll.... if you have a back averaging 5 yards a carry you run him till he pukes. It makes everyone else on the offense perform better.
  2. Philly - dude should have known it was coming. I’m slightly surprised no one spit on him afterwards.
  3. He’s just quoting Mr Miyagi and old Wutang movies.
  4. I like Lawson on a mid level contract. Particularly with Hughes getting older and turnover coming at the position. He’s damn good against the run and does an excellent job keeping mobile QBs contained. That said, he and Murphy can be improved upon. It’s a matter of resources. I’m not as enamored with Spain as some. If he’s back I’d like to see him drop some weight. He’s had a few mishaps where he gets exposed by stunts. I’m still not sure how much of that is on him or Morse and Allen setting protections. He’s upgradable for sure, but he’s also nowhere near a liability. Ford might be after a position change - it’s an unknown. Unfortunately we don’t have any dominant lineman to elevate play across the board. That would make guys like Spain look better.
  5. Pork shoulder and southern sides, German beer, cocktails, and a bunch of dudes with “playoff flu”.
  6. He needs to get together with Ed Orgeron and record a Christmas album for the lulz.
  7. Can’t compare the stats man. It was a different league. D lineman could murder QBs and DBs could mug WRs. For reference in 93’ Jim Kelly threw for 3382 yards, 18 TDs, and 18 INTs compared to Favre’s 3303 yards, 19 TDs and 24 INTs. Not too far off. For sure they tried to reign in the gunslinging. IIRC Holmgren added penalties for Favre’s turnovers which would violate the current CBA. Still, GB didn’t restrict the gameplans to account for Favre throwing into coverage. They let him play and learn.
  8. Favre slung it early. Certainly helped having a HOF level talent WR1; pro bowlers at WR2, WR3 and TE, and a RB with several 60 reception seasons though. Not to mention a coaching staff that had Mike Holmgren, Sherman Lewis, Steve Mariucci, Jon Gruden, Gil Haskell, and Andy Reid. Putting players and coaching talent like that around Allen and he’ll look a lot better quickly. Particularly if there weren’t any rules about not contacting players in the offseason. I like this coaching staff.... That early 90’s GB staff was one of the greatest offensive staffs ever assembled though.
  9. I’m not a PFF fan. To me they seem like Randy Marsh on SP creating a metric to make his penis seem average sized. The notable flaws are certainly Phillips, but also Tre White.... That said, this team just needs a couple guys to go over the top. I’m not enamored with Spain - He’s not athletic enough to pull and misses on stunts - but I think he may be replaced. Aside from that a top pass rusher and 1-2 playmakers on offense and this team will be in contention.
  10. Just wait it out. If the Bills beat the Ravens in the playoffs mail the guy a frozen crow and a tin of old bay.
  11. Yup. 28 would take more weapons, Allen improving, and a wide open scheme. I can’t see that with McD being a defense first HC. Now, Allen improving and adding more playmakers I can see. I just cannot fathom McD building this team to outscore everyone at the expense of defensive consistency.
  12. We’re basically a team without any weak spots. Schemes, preparation, and discipline give this group an edge and will beat all the mistake prone or talent poor teams. Aside from Tre White were lacking on game breaking talent though. An additional 2-3 big playmakers and an improved Josh Allen and this team becomes a perennial super bowl threat.
  13. I’d love to see 23-24. That would basically be an average differential of 7 points with the current defense.
  14. Living halfway between Durham and Charlotesville I’ve watched a ton of cavaliers games over the past few years. The kid will bypass underneath routes for chunk yardage, is inconsistent over the middle, and often has issues reading zone coverage. That said, he’s a hell of a person and a hell of an athlete. You’re on point on how he can get hot though. I’d be fine with them spending a 6th or 7th on Perkins. He’s worth taking a chance on. I just don’t think he’ll earn the backup spot.
  15. I’m expecting a divisional round loss unless Allen balls out in the playoffs like he has in 4th quarters. As it stands though, I expect some early game snafus from him being too amped up which we won’t be able to overcome against the better teams.
  16. I’m a fan of Perine. Not sure how Beane will view his tow truck driver incident. The way he plays reminds me of FredEx too. Kid can find yardage that shouldn’t be there with a decisive cut and leg drive. Not big on Perkins. I’ve watched him for a few years. His big games come from the receivers coming down with 50/50 balls that he shouldn’t throw.
  17. We’re going to see a few of these prospects like Lipscomb and Perine at the senior bowl. That’s exactly why I didn’t want him in the 1st.
  18. I’m curious if the folks pining for Jonathan Taylor watched what LaMical Perine did the other day.... Need to start paying attention to these day two and day three prospects as well.
  19. This why I’m slightly baffled by everyone wanting to pull Foster for Duke instead of pulling McKenzie. Foster has done a pretty good job with those jet sweeps over the last two years when given the opportunity. ?‍♂️
  20. If Rodgers wins another in the next 2-3 years I could see him retiring on top regardless of the money still on the table. He doesn’t seem like the type to hang on once his performance/success drops below a certain point.
  21. Never underestimate the Haslams and Snyders’ ability to do something stupid with personnel or staffing.... They run their own idiocracies.
  22. I hope that makes this playoff games national pregame show.
  23. Shenault can do all the McKensie like things while being a viable starter outside. He’d be a great fit. It’s gonna be interesting to see where all these WRs go
