Echoing what I said in the game thread... Every time I watched a Clemson game Ross was the WR that made an impression. Go back to Higgins TD run and look at Ross’ block. That kid is always grinding.

My Off-Season Primer: Position Group - DE

I think we’re undervaluing the kid. He has the frame any physical athleticism to turn into a starter. One thing that is neglected is that he also has a drive similar to Allen. He’s going to maximize his off season. I would not be surprised if he shows up to camp comfortably carrying an extra 10 pounds and armed with a few countermoves. He was behind this year because of where he played college ball. -
National Championship Game. Tigers vs Tigers

For sure. It’s about total college career. I devalued Desmond Howard because of that. Defenders winning though is a big deal to me as it’s almost always a QB or RB by default. -

Yup. In fact most of the top receivers are between 5’ 11 and 6’ 2”. The exceptions (tall) are top 10 freaks we don’t have a shot at. -

You’re letting NFL careers or recency bias affect your view.... Jim Thorpe, Tony Dorsett, Sammy Baugh, Staubach, Hugh Green, etc likely have greater college legacies. Also, really look at the defensive players (Hugh Green, Charles Woodson, etc) that won Heisman’s.... There’s usually a reason. -

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the fish take Tua and redshirt him on pup while watching Fitz and Rosen. They’re going to add to talent in this draft, and that’ll put them in prime position to fill out the roster with top talent. -

Nice play by Higgins. Ross’ blocking though... also impressive. I swear every time I see a Clemson game Ross is the one that pops out to me. -
Chicken means cash flow; ie, brand, career, income, etc.

My big concern with Clowney is the constant injuries. It’s the reason why I don’t want them to sign AJ Green. Now, if those injuries fade because we have better medical staff and facilities I’d be happy to see that level of talent on the team. It’s something we won’t have a grasp on unless he’s signed. I will say that Beane has taken shots on injury prone players (Murphy, Kroft) and most haven’t worked out. Although Murphy stayed healthy this year.

TFLs are often under rated because they’re not SportsCenter stats. They can completely change offensive playcalling though. I suspect that Gaine, Beane, etc are fully informed on what Clowney brings to the table with ability (penetration, TFLs), work ethic, and locker room demeanor. They also have a pretty good idea of what type of contract will get him to sign. The medical facilities and McD’s player workload management might actually be more important to some of these vets than us fans realize. Being ahead of the curve there will not only negate the possibility of a Trent Williams type of situation, but might prolong careers: Alexander, Kyle, Shady, Gore, etc. Players and agents look at all of those things. If they sign Clowney I’ll welcome the addition. If they don’t I’m okay with that too as long as they improve the position.

Fan collapses and dies at Ravens game...RIP

I get the sense that’s something he might pay for after putting out a Craigslist ad. -
That’s one I’d never put money on since Patricia’s job security is tied to how his team performs against the Packers.

Did you fall asleep during that game? GB finished 13-3. They swept the NFCN, and their losses were to LAC, PHI, and SF. They got totally housed in both those west coast games like they spent their time partying. Hapless, I’ve been asking myself that for two decades.
-
Damn I should have clarified what I meant by D. ?♂️?️?❤️?.
-
Shhhhh. Let him enjoy his catfish.
-
You’re late to the party. Answered that for WEO a bit ago. ? either/or; both would seem criminal.
-
Id be happy with either/or. Does she have a D? Asking for a friend. ?
-
Yup. We need an Adams
-
Doesn’t matter with the rest of his post season failures and the inability to retool and adapt properly after FA kicked in. Regular season means nothing if others beat you in the playoffs. Do you remember the year when Shurmur and GB unveiled a 3-3 nickel against SF and Seifert had no answer for it?
-
Yup. It was Walsh’s program. Seifert just didn’t screw it up. Although, it’s debatable because he didn’t do particularly well against JJ and Holmgren in the playoffs.
-
Who hasn’t?
-
Never had an issue with Lynch like many. In comparison though... if the Packers has taken that trade when offered Rodgers would probably have three rings and McCarthy would be retiring a Packer. ?
