And that trash roster was one Cam Newton fumble away from at least forcing OT if not a loss a month ago. Bills are by far the superior team and they are playing at such a high level now even compared to a month ago. But I would not discount them so easily nor that Dolphins defense that made Cam look so bad.

Hmmm, Tom Brady calling out and disrespecting Buffalo for lack of high end hotels didn’t seem to affect the outcome of the games. Bills have the better team. The only way they could lose is if McD gets out coached or Allen has a three turnover game. Without Gilmore, Allen and the offense should put up 35 by the end of the third quarter.

If White and Edmunds had opted out and Diggs was lost for the season, do you think the Bills would have won the division with two games to play? Belichick’s record is mostly the product of Brady. I’ve posted that many times before. But to be fair, the Patriots were hurt as much as anyone by opt outs and injury.

Terrible PI call. Maybe holding at the top of the break. -
How does Edmunds make it? He has been awful all year. Poyer and Dawkins are more deserving if you watch the games.

OMG did you see that TJ Watt play. Insane. That is what Bills need DE -
Play to win with the guys that are healthy Makes no sense to play Brown before the playoffs unless truly 100%

99.9% chance wk. 17 will matter to Bills
Ethan in Cleveland replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly don't remember the Patriots ever sitting Brady. In fact I recall Wes Welker getting injured in a meaningless week 17 game. I'm sure there is no correct way to do it. Avoid injury at the expense of losing your edge. Who knows. Either way if they win the first playoff game whatever they decide to do in week 17 will be correct. I'd say do what you can to get #3 spot. Pittsburgh is losing in the first round which will give the Bills a shot at a second home playoff game and avoiding KC before the championship game -

I agree with you. Play the starters and play to win. I'd like to see them blow away Miami. The counter argument is to avoid injury which has some validity. McD rested everyone against the Jets when the outcome didn't matter so there is precedent there. I think guys lose their edge when they rest but maybe that isn't a real thing. -
Week 16: Bills at Pats on MNF

Agree. Play to win. Don't care much about the seed. I just want them to stay hungry -
Bridgewater has played in 57 games spilt up buy a horrific injury. His comp % is almost 70%(1% higher than Allen's) and his YPA is 7.6 compared to Allen's 7.8. He has 640 fewer yard than Allen on 70 fewer attempts. Allen blows him away in scores with far greater WR group. They have the same number of INTs. Bridgewater has been without their best offensive weapon most of the year. My point is I would not be so quick to say Bridgewater is not the answer in Carolina. That division will be up for grabs as Brees and Brady play worse with age and Atlanta is a dumpster fire. Carolina should be very competitive with Bridgewater after another draft, a few FA holes filled, and a healthy McCaffrey Steelers are a house of cards about ready to fall apart. First round exit for sure Packers will win the NFC

[Name Only Title] Najee Harris
Ethan in Cleveland replied to jkx2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm fine with adding a RB in round 4-7. Other than that they still have serious issues in the front 7 on defense mostly related to age. They need to add a DE or two and a 1 tech DT (maybe Starr and Phillips are the answer for 2021). So much will depend on what happens with Milano and Williams. If they let Milano walk then OLB becomes the most immediate need. Of course they can replace a few of these guys in free agency. They will bring in a TE too but I would favor a veteran TE and not a rookie. Learning curve for that spot is too great and this team needs to win now. Knox may still be an above average TE. He has not hit his ceiling yet. But with Kroft almost assuredly gone they will need another body. -
What to do in 2 meaningless (?) games
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Artem Lipatov's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you follow he Belichick plan. Play your starters and play to win. Once you start resting folks teams lose their edge.
