  1. Please stop. Every team rushes 4 on 3rd and long. You know who didn't. KC and Burrow burned them.
  2. Morons. They had five guys there to keep the ball out if the endzone. No reason to dive on it.
  3. Diggs was wide open in the middle of the field. It was a great call and play by everyone but Allen.
  4. Can't miss that throw. Diggs destroyed the corner.
  5. He played less than 10% of snaps 6 of the last 9 weeks and only 5 offensive snaps all last game. Would rather see multiple TE.
  6. Thats fair but they still make mistakes. They watched Teller and traded him away. They watched PED Murphy and Lawson and chose the wrong one. They started Bernard over Dodson. And this same staff started Nathan Peterman more than once. In general the coaching staff is excellent at culture and relationships. Middle of the road is just about right when it comes to X/Os. The X factor is Allen. When he isn't turning the ball over Bills are very tough to beat.
  7. Three TE's and no Gilliam. I love it!
  8. Agreed. Now also just never say Beane doesn't draft for need. He drafts for need all the time. Not even saying Elam was a bad pick, but we all knew the moment White tore his knee they were drafting CB in the first round.
  9. He played well the last time he was a Bill but McD kept starting PED Murphy over him. Murphy went from starter with Bills to out of the league. That said Lawson didn't do much with Dolphins and Jets. If he, Basham, and Epenesa can at least hold their own, Rousseau and Oliver should be able to generate some pass rush.
  10. Dawkins if he can't play. It changes everything the offense will try to do.
  11. Edmunds and White started as rookies. I believe Cody Ford did as well. Bass won the kicking job as a rookie.
  12. If Brown makes a few plays over the next few weeks, I think Shakir will soon be a healthy scratch. McD likes veterans. Hines, Cook, and Singletary are all threats to catch out of the backfield. I just have to believe as the weather gets worse, they will run more two TE two RB sets. Heck they might even dress three TEs and Gilliam down the stretch to keep the running game going. Just don't see Shakir as the fourth maybe now the fifth WR getting many snaps. Brown had only four less snaps than Shakir did last week.
  13. Exactly. Didn't they get stopped on two 3rd and 1s?
  14. Buckeyes are soft under Day even though they keep putting high level defenders into the NFL. No way they would come back to win with Day at coach against Miami or beat Alabama with 4th string QB like they did with Tressel and Meyer. Day can prove everyone wrong with an upset of Georgia though. My guess is OSU gets hammered 52-10 in a rout. But OSU has the firepower to put 50 on Georgia if Stroud and Harrison are on. Missing Smith-Njaba hurts them though. Agreed. Honestly Wisconsin is a step below where Fickell should have landed. With his track record at Cinci he should be at Auburn instead of the cheater Hugh Freeze.
  15. So Burrow was like 6 of 7 for over 100 yards and a TD against the Chiefs blitz last weekend. Allen destroys teams when they blitz. You may like looking at blitzes but against even decent QBs you are more likely to get burned. Hate it all you want but dropping 7 or 8 in coverage and rushing 4 or even three is the right recipe to stop potent offenses. I presume you like watching winning more than you do watching blitzes and losses. Against run heavy teams I can see using a 4-3 some of the time. But even teams that run a lot, still run from a 3 WR set frequently. Nobody except maybe Belichick is going to stay in a 4-3 against a 3 WR set. Most teams just like the Bills are in nickel the vast majority of the game. It's just how it is now. You need to just accept it. That said, I agree the D has always been a paper tiger padding their stats on the terrible QBs they have faced the last two years. If they want to beat the Chiefs or the Bengals in the playoffs the Bills are going to need to score 40. Lastly the great equalizer is turnovers. When Josh plays clean, the Bills are nearly unstoppable. Josh has been better lately but he has been really careless with the ball this year. Even last week there was a possible pick 6 the Pats LB dropped right before the half. Bills are tied for 17th in turnover ratio at an even Zero (20 takeaways/20 giveaways). The good news is they are 4th in takeaways. So they can produce the turnovers when needed. Sadly they are 3rd in giveaways with 11 INT (5th highest) and 9 fumbles(3rd highest). If they can play clean this team is good enough to win the SB! PS Eagles are +13 in turnover ratio with a QB that has only thrown 3 INT, but on this board he is no good.
  16. I agree but not all do. Jets went defense, Texans went defense, and so did the Bears. I think the more consistent theme is youth over experience as many of the recent hires have been on the younger side. Seems like teams want that guy that is willing to spend 100 hours a week at the job
  17. Exaclty. Gase was a disaster but McDaniel seems competent. Its the guy not the background.
  18. Von was playing at a high level but the real issue is the drop off from Von to Epenesa is astounding. Hughes was capable but Epenesa is horrible. Hope he proves me wrong with this short stretch to start and play significant meaningful snaps.
  19. Ask Denver how that offensive mind is working out...lol McD called timeout before both plays and is equally complicit in the 13 second debacle
