  1. Yes: https://operations.nfl.com/journey-to-the-nfl/the-nfl-s-international-impact/the-nfl-international-series/#:~:text=Each season%2C there will be,they have nine home games. "Each season, there will be at least four games played internationally. Each NFL team is guaranteed to play a home game at an international site every eight seasons. As part of the league adopting a 17-game schedule in 2021, AFC and NFC teams will alternate seasons where they have nine home games. The host teams for international games will be selected from the conference with the ninth home game, so clubs still will host eight games in their home stadium. For example, since NFC teams have a ninth home game in 2022, four NFC teams will be selected to host an international game that season. Teams can still volunteer to play home games abroad, just as they have in previous seasons"
  2. We host only eight games next year, so we can't lose a home game. Away at the NFC is another story.
  3. The AFC Wast has to be away at the NFC East since we were home to them in 2021. Now it's their turn to host. Home and away each particular year does not matter to the NFL as long as the complete cycle of years balances out. Just like it was ok to be away at KC three years in a row, as we are hosting them now for straight three years (assuming we finish in the same place as them in 2025).
  4. The NFL can switch things around when a cycle comes to an end. We played home to Washington in 2021, so it makes sense to play at the NFC East for the 17th game next year.
  5. CBS can protect, but only if they get assigned the game in the first place. Also, it will be Buffalo next year at the NFC East winner, most likely Philly or Washington (assuming both of us finish in first place). And unlikely that Buffalo at Cleveland is international, since both teams are AFC and the NFC gets the extra game next year.
  6. Except, as @djp14150 noted above, we actuallg play at the NFC East next year.
  7. Also, more to your point: I checked all the Josh vs. Mahommes games in the regular season, and the network breakdown is as follows: 2020 - FOX/NFL Network (pandemic year) 2021 - NBC 2022 - CBS 2023 - CBS 2024 - CBS Prime and ESPN would love to get in the mix, but Thursday is more unlikely, given this is a premier game and the NFL wouldn't want the teams on short rest (probably, unless both teams are coming off byes or mini-byes maybe?).
  8. Well if KC wins the SB, it won't be Buffalo in the Kickoff since we host KC next year. And, yeah, the KC-Buffalo matchup has become the annual game of the year, like NE-Indy used to be. The NFL has rhe final say on deciding the network, but the individual networks have a large input.
  9. Baltimore played the NFL Kickoff this year, so unlikely they play next year., Also, the NFL prefers not to have an inter-conference game for the Kickoff.
  10. Chiefs should have lost to Denver yesterday. Kicker misses a chip-shot FG. They got super lucky. Then the game Sunday would have been for first place in the AFC.
  11. The Bills have now beaten Indy in the regular season with Josh at QB, so the green text can be changed to blue. Last up is Philly, possibly in the SB or 2026 for sure, unless we play them as the 17th extra game before then.
  12. Out gift to Gernany: Giants and Panthers. I don't think they'll want to like American football after this!
  13. Sigh:
  14. I'm very proud of this thread. I only read through the first two pages, but that is because all the great opinions which made me think hard. They were mostly al high quality posts bringing up perspectives I hadn't thought of. This goes to show you the excellent posters in TBD and one reason why this is the best Bills forum and best football forum, period.
  15. If he does take them, he'll be in for a manic Monday, unfortunately.
  16. Yeah, the entire nation was glued to the TV for the first CFP rankings.
  17. Thst would be @Dablitzkrieg!
  18. As most probably know, Jason Kelce apolgized last night on ESPN: “I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it,” Kelce said on ESPN. “In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing. I really don’t. I don’t think that it leads to discourse and it’s the right way to go about things. In that moment, I fell down to a level that I shouldn’t have." “I think the bottom line is, I try to live my life by the golden rule," he said. "That’s what I’ve always been taught. I try to treat people with common decency and respect, and I’m going to keep doing that going forward even though I fell short this week. I’m going to do that moving forward" Therefore, since Jason feels sorry, he is now welcome in Buffalo, as is Tay-Tay, and I would be happy if his Chiefs won. Moreover, I'm sure the anonymous college kid will cherish his broken phone as a souvenir and considered it a privilege to have it destroyed by Kelce. He now loves Jason. I love the Chiefs. Thank you Jason. Thank you for (somewhat) apologizing. That satisfies all parties involved.
  19. Steelers-Ravens cannot be flexed, per the new rules. The main network for that conference (CBS in this case) must carry at least one home-and-home game of a divisional match up. The other Steelers-Ravens game is on FOX. The flex also means the huge LA area now can show the Bills-Chiefs instead of the planned Chargers game. The entire country now gets Bills-Chiefs in the late slot.
  20. We beat them when they had a winning record. And the Cardinals could lose next week. It doesn't really matter until all the games have been played, and even then, who cares?
  21. Seriously? Cincy has missed the playoffs in two of the four years Burrow was QB, and is probably going to miss them again this year. Plus, they didn't have to play KC twice in the divisionals like we did, or we would have been in more conference championship games. And Cincy lost to an average Rams team in the SB. We would gave won.
