  1. Exactly what I saw. Thought the previous 48 minutes was for the most part, well executed strategy on offense and complementary football by simply keeping KC off the field and wearing down their defense, while limiting exposure to ours. I was screaming at the TV "what are you doing", just grind yards whether it was that open crosser to Diggs or simply out-physicalling KC and forcing their way down the field taking the yards and first downs as they came, with the intent to kill clock culminating in a touchdown. You put it better but it was extremely frustrating watching the shot that got broken by Jones affecting Allen's throw, or even worse, what looked like a desperation throw on 3rd down. The first down conversion would have been there if they took what was there on second.
  2. Strangely enough, yes. They played hard, we had our chances at the end of the game, and just couldn’t close. Lots of little things added up. There was no blame for the refs, and luck broke our way when we really needed it (Chiefs’ fumble in the end zone and Allen’s fumble we recovered stand out). Even with our depleted defense, the Chiefs were also losing important players as the game went on. We just couldn’t close at the end. Whether it was Bass’ miss, Allen missing Shakir or Diggs dropping Allen’s bomb (which was thrown well enough IMO) or any of a hundred little things before that, we were so close but just couldn’t quite get there. It was a surprising season considering the despair at 6-6 and the thousands of little things we missed or did wrong to get there but they surprised me at did what I had written off as impossible so there’s that. I’ll leave the analysis and criticism for the rest of you who are doing a good job and articulate what I feel is wrong. But for a guy who was really down on McDermott, I felt for him in the post game presser. No NFL head coach is genuine facing the media and especially Sean who keeps things generic. But he was sincere, he owned everything and between him and Allen, they wore the pain on their sleeves so to speak. He was surprisingly indulgent and just went with the questions. Better luck next year, we’ve been here awhile now and it still beats being permanently assigned to Sunday @ 1PM because none of our games matter. At least that’s how I feel.
  3. Another gut punch. Have to agree with the sentiment that Bass' miss didn't kill us because Mahomes would have had 1:45 or so left to march downfield for the winner with their money kicker. On our final drive, he has Diggs open and does he ignore it because Diggs had let him down several times this game?
  4. going to have to lean on Kincaid on Shakir (if we can get him back)
  5. will say it feels like Cook is about to rip a huge run
  6. continue punishing with the run game please
  7. balls out release the battering ram
  8. Broke down and started on the Jack Daniels early to cope
  9. Despite our injuries, I feel we find a way. Allen reaches another level, and the Bills win a close game that takes ten years off my life.
  10. My favourite part of this whole sordid ordeal was when his twitter was outed last year by JGMCD and Filthy denied and deflected, yet it was clearly him.
  11. Great win. At what cost? The football injury gods have cursed us!
  12. the only thing Billsy is the curse. Ridiculous. Bernard carted off. No one to blame but the universe.
  13. Yes, questionable to return (knee)
  14. make it stop with the injuries, please
  15. Much better, glad I was wrong as usual. Others have said it, and I will agree. He's at least a good, maybe very good coach. Does he have his deficiencies? Everyone does. Will he win a Super Bowl or God forbid make a boneheaded decision in a critical moment? Who knows. They have to get there first. I was way off-base about McDermott losing the locker room after the Broncos game. Coincidental timing or not, the Dunne article seemed to bring them together around him. It was a daunting task to win out and they got it done. Let's see how we do in the playoffs but, once again, as stated better by others, it could be worse. We have a proven regular season winner, and I remember what it's like to be on the other side so I'll be happy with what we have and hope for more.
  16. Titans pumped up for their Vrabel-bowl
