  1. Well, I guess I was wrong, I just don't belong But then I've been there before Everything's all right, I'll just say good night And I'll show myself to the door Hey, I didn't mean to cause a big scene Just give me an hour and then Well, I'll be as high as that ivory tower That you're livin' in 'Cause I've got friends in low places Where the whiskey drowns and the beer chases my blues away And I'll be OK Yeah, I'm not big on social graces Think I'll slip on down to the oasis Oh, I've got friends in low places
  2. It's so hard to get old without a cause I don't want to perish like a fading horse Youth's like diamonds in the sun And diamonds are forever So many adventures couldn't happen today So many songs we forgot to play So many dreams swinging out of the blue We'll let 'em come true Forever young I want to be forever young Do you really want to live forever? Forever, and ever Forever young I want to be forever young Do you really want to live forever? Forever, and ever
  3. Don't do this, I don't do this to you Don't expect me to enjoy it 'Cause I really don't have the courage not to turn the volume up inside my ears For years I used to put my head inside the speakers In the hallway when you get too high and talk forever The day I die, the day I die Where will we be? The day I die, the day I die Where will we be?
  4. I love parties, but I don't go Then I feel bad when I stay home 'Cause I need a friend when I take a walk I like spacin' out when somebody talks I wanna be rich, but I feel guilty I fall in love with everyone who hates me All my favorite songs are slow and sad All my favorite people make me mad, so mad Everything that feels so good is bad, bad, bad All my favorite songs are slow and sad I don't know what's wrong with me (Ooh, ooh, ooh) I don't know what's wrong with me (Ooh, ooh, ooh)
  5. At least we'll always have his unhinged heel turn after the (legitimate, literally nothing to complain about) offside penalty. The only thing missing was a WWE style bit where CBS cuts to a nondescript room in the bowels of Arrowhead stadium: Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are taking turns working over Kadarius Toney with a steel chair. Mahomes: "It was the greatest play in the history of the NFL!" Kelce: "It was my first passing touchdown you stupid piece of *****! Taylor was going to write a song!" Andy Reid walks in and bellows, "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" Mahomes and Kelce back off momentarily. Out of nowhere Reid clocks Toney with the Chiefs offensive playbook. Romo: "Oh my gosh... it's a west coast offense playbook... it's gotta be over a thousand pages long..." Reid: "Hold him down!" Mahomes and Kelce pin Toney while Reid strips off his shirt, climbs a table and splashes Toney. Romo: "Jim... there's kids watching this..." Nantz: "Andy Reid must weigh over 400lbs!" Josh Allen and his o-line charge into the meeting room. Nantz: "But wait! It's Josh Allen! And the Buffalo Bills offensive line!" Romo: "Here we go!" Allen and the O-line quickly clear out the Chiefs locker room. Allen helps Toney up. Allen: "Are you alright?" Toney: "Yeah... uh... thanks..." Allen holds up Toney's arm victoriously. The O-line joins in when suddenly Spencer Brown kicks Toney in the gut and delivers a stunner. the sound of breaking glass
  6. This worries me as well. From my unscientific perspective I'm guessing that he loses concentration, and perhaps this was one of the things McDermott was punishing him for earlier in the year. Also wondering if it's something that comes up in practice, which would feed McD's annoyance (intense dude, after all). If he fixes that, loving most of what else was shown, he's got the burst, he can rack up big yards even after some contact, and he's certainly a threat in the passing game. But the inexplicable layup-type drops were "a thing" by season's end.
  7. Come a little bit closer Hear what I have to say Just like children sleepin' We could dream this night away But there's a full moon risin' Let's go dancin' in the light We know where the music's playin' Let's go out and feel the night
  8. Nobody gonna take my head I got speed inside my brain Nobody gonna steal my head Now that I'm on the road again Ooh, I'm in heaven again I've got everything Like a moving ground An open road and everything I love it and I need it, I seed it Eight cylinders all mine Alright, hold on tight I'm a highway star
  9. Oh, but now old friends they're acting strange And they shake their heads and they tell me that I've changed Well something's lost, but something's gained In living every day I've looked at life from both sides now From win and lose and still somehow It's life's illusions I recall I really don't know life at all
  10. Come closer and see See into the trees Find the girl While you can Come closer and see See into the dark Just follow your eyes Just follow your eyes
  11. Going down to the swamp Gonna watch me a hound dog catch a c00n Well, I'm going down to the swamp Gonna watch me a hound dog catch a c00n You know the hounddog make-a music On a summer night under a full moon
  12. Not that it matters, but this is the nirvana I attained after our latest loss. Instead of being grumpy and letting my disappointment lead to toxicity, it was time to step back and finally admit there's not a goddman thing I can do about it... other than being upset and (potentially) getting into arguments with my fellow Bills brethren and sistren on the message board. Whether I approve of McDermott or don't (and I couldn't agree more with @Logic's assessment of what always seems to happen against elite offenses), Terry Pegula doesn't know who the f I am and couldn't care less even if he did. He LOVES Sean and thus Sean will stay until something catastrophic happens. Just my take and how I'm dealing with situations I can't control. I do enjoy the (non-hostile/personal) debate and most of your are doing a wonderful job.
  13. Exactly what I saw. Thought the previous 48 minutes was for the most part, well executed strategy on offense and complementary football by simply keeping KC off the field and wearing down their defense, while limiting exposure to ours. I was screaming at the TV "what are you doing", just grind yards whether it was that open crosser to Diggs or simply out-physicalling KC and forcing their way down the field taking the yards and first downs as they came, with the intent to kill clock culminating in a touchdown. You put it better but it was extremely frustrating watching the shot that got broken by Jones affecting Allen's throw, or even worse, what looked like a desperation throw on 3rd down. The first down conversion would have been there if they took what was there on second.
  14. Strangely enough, yes. They played hard, we had our chances at the end of the game, and just couldn’t close. Lots of little things added up. There was no blame for the refs, and luck broke our way when we really needed it (Chiefs’ fumble in the end zone and Allen’s fumble we recovered stand out). Even with our depleted defense, the Chiefs were also losing important players as the game went on. We just couldn’t close at the end. Whether it was Bass’ miss, Allen missing Shakir or Diggs dropping Allen’s bomb (which was thrown well enough IMO) or any of a hundred little things before that, we were so close but just couldn’t quite get there. It was a surprising season considering the despair at 6-6 and the thousands of little things we missed or did wrong to get there but they surprised me at did what I had written off as impossible so there’s that. I’ll leave the analysis and criticism for the rest of you who are doing a good job and articulate what I feel is wrong. But for a guy who was really down on McDermott, I felt for him in the post game presser. No NFL head coach is genuine facing the media and especially Sean who keeps things generic. But he was sincere, he owned everything and between him and Allen, they wore the pain on their sleeves so to speak. He was surprisingly indulgent and just went with the questions. Better luck next year, we’ve been here awhile now and it still beats being permanently assigned to Sunday @ 1PM because none of our games matter. At least that’s how I feel.
  15. Another gut punch. Have to agree with the sentiment that Bass' miss didn't kill us because Mahomes would have had 1:45 or so left to march downfield for the winner with their money kicker. On our final drive, he has Diggs open and does he ignore it because Diggs had let him down several times this game?
  16. going to have to lean on Kincaid on Shakir (if we can get him back)
