He really seems to have embraced the mentality (and he actually said this) of:
a play is breaking down, and sure, he could try to make some highlight-reel worthy type 1/1000000 kind of save, but for what? Was the risk worth the reward?
As others have said, it helps we might actually be able to bludgeon teams with the run game, so Josh doesn't start feeling like he has to do everything (until he has to).
Some of it is maturation, and constantly improving. I'm glad the "new" Josh Allen we saw last year is simply Josh Allen.
