The only time Allen was sloppy on "ball security" was the fumble. The pass to Beasley that was intercepted should have been caught or had a flag thrown for pass interference. The deep shot to Brown that was picked saw Smoke completely confused about what he should do on a scramble drill. Romo was clear that the pick was on the receiver there.

Yep. The Bengals are definitely beatable.

Whose also nursing multiple injuries.

Burrow is very good but he definitely isn't better then Allen. Burrow's biggest advantage over Allen is that he has an offensive minded head coach who has invested enormously in surrounding Burrow with the best collection of skill players in the NFL.

Allen Diggs Davis Knox Edmunds Johnson Elam White Allen threw for over 350 yards and 3 TD's and had a QB rating of 93. He had a key run to convert a 3rd and long in the red zone on the Bills go ahead TD drive. He made a number of fantastic throws. He had a bad fumble that is on hm. IMO the 2 INT's were not on Allen. To top it off Allen made a beautiful 54 yard throw to Kalir that was dropped right before the half. The game tuns out differently and is likely a blowout if he makes that catch. We didn't win "despite him". Allen contributed a great deal to the Bills win today.

Season end, how good are the Bills really?

I think a better argument can be made that other players on the offense need to play better, not Allen. In fact if Allen plays like he did today and other guys on the O step up their game we have a good chance to get to the Super Bowl. -

Strength of victory was at #3. It's different then SOS which includes all games where strength of victory only includes the teams the Bills beat. -

Allen has not regressed. What we're seeing is the Allen we're going to get for the next 10 years. More then 5,000 total yards every season, 40 - 50 TD's and 15 - 25 TO's. This is what his style of play will give you. Now if the Bills can put some resources into the offense and improve the O-line and add another top notch skill player Allen will likely have 45 - 50 TD's to about 10 - 15 TO's every year he's healthy. Now if that isn't good enough make the argument why the Bills need anew QB. -

Okay. I'll put on a pair of glasses with lenses as thick as coke bottles: The Bills are 14 - 3 and have advanced to the Divisional round of the playoffs. The three losses were by a total of 8 points. The Bills had the 3rd hardest strength of victory schedule and were a top 3 offense and Defense. Through 17 games Allen has nearly 5500 total yards and 45 TD's. Yea he also has 22 TO's but Allen is likely to fluctuate between 40 - 50 TD's and 15 - 20 TO's every season he plays for the Bills. If you think that's to much say it and argue that the Bills need a change at QB. -
This is a distinction without a difference. And yes they could have and probably should have thrown a flag for interference. So do you agree that this INT wasn't on Allen? Oh and Romo was pretty adamant that Brown messed up the pattern when it became a scramble drill which was the reason for that INT.

Next week is next week. The way NFL football goes we can absolutely win the game. The Bills might play better or they might play worse then they did today. Only time will tell. Maybe this is how we are going to keep winning games no matter who we play.

I have a theory on this. The defense, in spite of mostly great stats, is playing as frustratingly inconsistently as the offense is. Holding the Dolphins to a couple of hundred yards and forcing a couple of FG's on short fields was a big plus but: * Giving up a 4th & 8 when the Bills led 17 -3. Make that stop and the Bills start rolling again with the ball at midfield. * Giving up a 3rd & 19 in the first half. * After playing lights out and getting a TO the D allows a 75 yard TD drive in the 4th quarter after the Bills had opened up a 10 point lead. * Giving up a 3rd & 10 late in the game when they had the Fish pinned deep in their pwn territory. This mirrors an offense that scored 34 points, gained over 400 yards and roared out to a 17 - 0 and then turned the ball over 3 times! A dropped pass that was an easy catch kept the Bills from taking a 24 - 9 lead at half. So like the defense the O's inconsistency combines great plays and series with head scratching screw-ups. In the end the Bills have won most of these games but it's damn frustrating to watch.

I didn't like those plays either. We were all screaming at the TV. Not sure if that was Allen being stubborn or Dorsey losing it. Maybe both. But in 2 of the Bills 3 possessions during that time they erased a 24 - 20 deficit and got ahead 34 - 24. And that was because Allen calmed down and started slicing and dicing the fish.

Bad weather, an at best average offensive line and a distinct lack of play making skill players is the problem not Allen. Sure the WINS are sloppy and heart stopping but we're 14 - 3 and in the divisional round of the playoffs. I don't get the nit picking criticism of Allen. The reason the game wasn't over at half was not because of Allen's play.

I thought Allen played very well. The fumble was on him but neither INT was. Romo was pretty clear that Brown failed to run the pattern he should have and the ball bounced off Beasley's chest. Bottom line was that Allen had over 350 yards passing and 3 TD's. And he played great late in the 3rd and 4th quarter when the game was on the line leading the Bills to 2 TD's.
