SNF: Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens
CincyBillsFan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's a hack, a total phony baloney tool. He acts as if the Ravens O has been marching up and down the field tonight when they show a close up of the Browns DC looking concerned. Yet here we are near the end of the 1st half and Baltimore has two FG's. And isn't Collinsworth aware that both the Dolphins and Bills have completely shut the Ravens down the last times they played? -

I'm working on it. And if I get the team I'm benching Jones and trading the Pats next three first round picks to Carolina for Cam. And Cam will start Monday night. -

If I was the Browns owner I would demand that a coach be fired for that 12 men on the field penalty after a TO and multiple play stops. Just ridiculous. -
Not to pat ourselves on the back to much but this is an excellent message board. As long as you avoid the craziness of the actual real time game threads the discussions here are very good and any football fan would be happy to check them out. And while we reserve a special level of hate for the pats our takes on other teams are pretty balanced. Check out a Pats, Jets or Dolphins board to see what crazy takes look like. The format here is also user friendly and easy to read. If I wasn't a Bills fan I would come here to get info on the Bills and to check out another fan bases reaction to NFL events.

That second INT was the result of Allen's arm getting hit as he threw the ball. That's just bad luck. As for decision making Allen was throwing that pass to Sanders the guy Brees said Allen should be throwing the ball to on that play. And for the record we should have been lining up for an extra point on that play as a great TD throw to Knox was negated by an O-lineman being downfield 40 yards away from the play. Everyone was crying for Allen to take what the D was giving and last night he did exactly that. NO has a smart, talented veteran secondary/LB group and Allen and the Bills O looked very good against them. With Mongo & Brown back for the NE game there is reason to be encouraged that the O will move the ball in that game.

Week 12, Bills v. Saints GAME BALLS - 11/25/21
CincyBillsFan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
And again Allen led all Bills rushers with 45 yards on 8 carries. He also converted three 3rd downs with his legs. The bad news though is that this is unsustainable. -
Disagree. The offense had only two possessions before falling behind 24 - 7. On their first drive they got to the Colts 30 before back to back O-line penalties screwed up the FG. On their 2nd drive they scored a TD. The Bills D played awful last week and the Bills O didn't contribute to that performance.

I agree. At that point in the game just run the damn ball. It was still a good throw to Diggs who should have caught it. Allen was lethally accurate tonight and if he does this against NE, minus the two pics, the Bills are going to win that game. And lets face it on the 2nd pick Allen's arm was hit and that LB made a fantastic catch.

The first INT was on Allen for getting greedy. The 2nd INT his arm was hit and the LB made a spectacular catch. The play should have never happened as we had a stupid penalty the play before taking n Allen TD pass off the board. Some Bills fans seem ignorant about how well Allen played tonight given the often almost instantaneous pressure up the middle & around the end. Very few QB's in the league could do what Allen did tonight.

Bills at Saints 11/25/21 Second Half Thread
CincyBillsFan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
We are up against a 5 -5 team on the road 24 - 0 at the end of 3 quarters. Sure the Saints have injuries but their D is solid and the fans are into the game. What the hell do people want? -
Bills v. Saints Game Day Thread First Half - 11/25/21
CincyBillsFan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Excuse train. Why was the O lineman down field robbing the Bills of a TD? His arm was hit because the Bills have one of the worst O-lines in the NFL. If you cant see it you're not watching the game. -
Greg Cosell, NFL Films painted a not-so-great picture on Bills O

On your first point how has that worked out for the Browns, Jets, Giants and Broncos? Can you imagine the nightmare for the AFC if Allen was the Browns QB with that running game? IMO your second point perpetuates a myth abut how well the Bills handled Allen as a rookie. Not giving him many first team snaps or game experience in the preseason, thinking that Petermann could carry the team until Allen was ready, and tearing the offense down for a rebuild were all bad things for a project QB inserted into the starting lineup in week 2. It wasn't until AFTER Allen was hurt that the Bills organization began to do anything right with him. They got rid of two useless WR's and added a couple of veteran QB's to mentor Allen. That Allen succeeded was IN SPITE of what the Bills did his rookie year. And for the record, Baker Mayfield had more offensive talent around him than Allen did his rookie year. The same goes for Sam Darnold. -
Or check down to a 5 yard gain and then miss the 56 yard FG in the swirling wind giving Indy the ball in better field position then the INT did. Do these guys even think about what they're saying?

CincyBillsFan replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did he? I don't recall a NE team with Brady that went to a Super Bowl with RB's as poor as the Bills. Nor do I remember them going to Super Bowls with an O-line as poor as the Bills. And as good as Diggs is he isn't better then Randy Moss and Beasley isn't better then Welker or Edelman. And the Bills haven't had a TE the last couple of years with a fraction of the talent Gronk brought to the table. If Allen needs to be special every game he Bills will not be going to a Super Bowl. It's simply an unrealistic expectation. -

He said the same thing today on the Cowherd show. This last comment has me concerned: - Josh Allen has to be special, every week, every play, or the Bills cannot win. That's too much to ask, does not believe it's sustainable. Do we risk messing up our franchise QB with insane expectations? We know Allen internalizes this stuff and takes all the blame on his shoulders. Throw in the fact that the big new contract makes him even more likley to believe he should be playing perfect every game. Look how quick some of the posters on 2BD have thrown out his contract as a reason to expect Allen to play great on every play in every game. I'm normally optimistic but on Cowherd Cosell seemed to be pissed off at the Bills brain trust for this. He didn't say so specifically but in responding to a Cowherd comment his tone was dripping with contempt with the Bills scheme and pass blocking.
