If Poland really wanted to get these jets to Ukraine, wouldn’t it be easier to have Ukraine’s pilots drive across the border and fly them back? Considering they are literal neighbors. Seems to me Poland wanted to give the jets to Ukraine with no culpability.

This Polish fighter jet transfer just shows Poland was never serious about it. They want to transfer them to the US in Germany so we can be the ones to anger Russia by giving them to Ukraine? No thank you. Poland is right next to Ukraine. If they are serious about giving Ukraine the planes then just have the Ukrainian pilots drive across the border and fly them back to Ukraine.

I don’t get this though. Moreso, I’m not sure I trust the reporting. If Russia only wants the areas they already had, why don’t they just fall back to those territories, they still occupy them. Ukraine would count their lucky stars. They would never go on the offensive.

Metcalf was my draft crush. I wouldn’t have been upset with him at 9th overall. When he dropped like a rock I was so mad we didn’t grab him in the second round. Well, this team does pretty much exclusively want to pass. So if you can’t get the targets here, you aren’t getting them anywhere.

I’m not sure anyone is offering a lot of picks to jump up to number 1 in this draft. Doesn’t seem like a very strong year for number 1.

I read that the NFL works very closely with these gambling companies. I wouldn’t be shocked if draftkings and fanduel scrub their databases every now and then for the names of nfl players.

As someone else mentioned, what a terrible year to have the first overall pick. Usually they could explore a trade and get a kings ransom from a QB needy team. But the QB’s this year leave something to be desired.

Davis’ combine performance is not too bad. Either some team drafts him ahead of us and we don’t spend a first round pick on a DT or we spend a first round pick on a DT but at least it’s at 25. I am pretty indifferent.

If China were to be made priority number 1 then offering to not interfere in any Taiwanese issues would probably be quite the olive branch.

I agree that Putin completely underestimated his ability to unite the west. I never thought I’d see the day where republicans and democrats and all of the western world was united on a cause. However, when it comes to the bolded, there’s really no way to know that yet. We don’t have accurate casualty figures, just propaganda from one side or the other. It took the US 3 weeks to capture Baghdad and that wasn’t an embarrassing military performance. Forces, no matter how superior, take time to move and capture land against inferior forces. If Ukraine is still holding on in a months time, it would absolutely be an embarrassing failure for the Russian military.

Came here to post this. I don’t view Carr as the type of QB that can get you over the super bowl hump unless you surround him with a phenomenal team. He’s likely to stick them into NFL purgatory, right in the middle of the pack. That’s not something you pay 40 million per year for.

If he was on his initial deal still, then sure. With that contract, not very interested. If they are dead set on acquiring a running back, I would rather take a flyer on Barkley for a late round pick.

I find a lot of the news coming out to be pretty difficult to believe. It seems most of the news we are seeing is coming from extremely pro-Ukrainian sources, so I’m taking most of it with a giant grain of salt. Some of it is just too hard to believe, like the reports of Russian soldiers sabotaging their tanks so they don’t have to fight.

Isn’t this bad for Ukraine though? They really want the soldiers from an army that outnumbers them ten to one fighting HARDER?

I saw a poll today where 78% of speech watchers approved. I was wondering what speech they are watching. Biden is the worst public speaker I’ve seen. He instills absolutely zero confidence. In addition to that, every big point he wants to do will never make it through Congress. In addition to that he so blatantly tries to come back to the middle after veering too far left and impacting his poll numbers. It was an uninspiring and unimpressive speech.

I noticed this too and thought it was super odd. But then again, Pelosi is just odd in general.
