  1. That’s good. Didn’t want the weather to spoil this bobby dazzler of a game 👍
  2. I fell asleep watching the Washington v Steelers game and woke up just after we'd gone 14-7 up. I saw the rest of the game out, 2 hours more sleep then up to get mini me ready for school and other half to work. Luckily I'm still working from home due to the lergy so didn't have to commute in. I'm struggling to see the day out now. The game was probably the most comfortable I've felt all season when we've had a lead at the half. We were aggressive straight from the second half kick off on both sides of the ball. Going for it on 4&2 when there was a FG available when we were up 10 told me Daboll reckoned Allen and the receivers couldn't be stopped. He was right. Time to prepare for the Steelers and another late night/early morning next week. Roll on the Saturday night game 😴
  3. I'm expecting this to go pretty similar to how the Steelers' game last year went. With the same outcome and I'll be jolly well c()ck-a-hoop about it.
  4. I’d give more than thanks to Tracy Wolfson. Anyway, all the best to you my American online pals. Enjoy your day and weekend 👍
  5. And that completes the full set. Hyde was the last member of the 2020 squad to be given the TBD kiss of death. Those soon to be 8 wins have been so lucky it’s almost unbelievable.
  6. Have to stop him in his first couple of yards or he's gone for good.
  7. That might be in their thinking if they have any 50/50 injury doubts for Sunday.
  8. How do you know we already haven't?
  9. Lovely stuff. I was never an avid keeper of magazines or programmes really. I've kept the programmes from some of the bigger City games over the years and any I got when watching England. I do have a genuine 1966 World Cup Final programme in the loft which my other half got me for Christmas a few years back. I still love completing a sticker album but only for major international tournaments these days. That's one thing I stopped doing in the 90's when other distractions happened.
  10. My brother was a Champo player. I relied on getting my soccer knowledge from Shoot! magazine and then later FourFourTwo.
  11. McGibbon was sent off and gave a penalty away in the process. I think it may have been his debut as well. Might have something to do why you have no knowledge of him!
  12. Yes, the first leg against Man Utd they didn't have their strongest team out at the time but a few years later it made up a fair percentage of not only their first team but also England's. In the second leg however, wowzers! The game was Cantona's first away game after his ban for the attack on the Palace fan. I remember Schmeichel coming out to take a cross and the movement from the United players was unreal. They didn't have to think. Two split out wide, one went long and another short. Our lads had never seen anything like it. I hadn't live. We manged to score just before halftime and really go away lightly with a 3-1 defeat but it was just enough to see us through. We aren't ever going to get back to a society like that. Social media has made politics so divisive and in my opinion, evil. I used to think religion was the root of all evil but now politics is close to matching it. In the 90's nobody cared who or what you voted for. It was as close to hedonism as you'd get in my eyes. Probably a rose tinted view as I had no or very little worry at the time but everyone just seemed content to work hard and enjoy life without casting shadow on how other people lived their lives.
  13. It has been mentioned a few times on this thread but the 1990's was a pretty fantastic decade. I went from 10 to 20 years old in that time. I fell in love with the game I now know as football and the Buffalo Bills at the start of it. Now being able to pass this on to my son all this time later is special (although he has asked for a Mahomes jersey for Christmas 😔). In Britain it was a decade of Brit Pop and the emergence of mainstream dance music which was a special time for someone starting to grow up. By the time I'd left school and starting to earn enough cash to hit the town every weekend Labour had come into power and were throwing cash at folk like confetti at weddings. Even my ***** soccer team had a few decent years in the early/mid 90's. Our first match at Wembley and we were victorious! Beating the likes of Manchester United and Everton in the League Cup in the years following that. By 1998 I was out working 5 days a week. Out on the town Friday night. Sometimes work a Saturday morning then off to play soccer in the afternoon. In to the pub Saturday night. Home in time for Match of the Day with a half Mexico/half doner meat pizza. Eat half of it. Wake up around 8am the following morning ready to play soccer again. Not before devouring the remaining half of the pizza as a nutritious pre match meal/breakfast. Back to the pub after the match but sometimes just orange juice depending on what money I had left in my pocket and what state I was in after the previous two nights. My parents were great and always encouraged me to have fun doing what I want to do. As long as I wasn't putting myself in danger or making them worried. If I could go back to any decade and spend just one day in it, it would be the 1990's. Don't look back in anger, folks.
  14. I was 13 years old. Shabba Ranks had released Mr Loverman and the world was very different.
  15. Beating teams they're better than hasn't been a problem under McDermott. We'll get it done somehow.
  16. The next instalment of White v Hopkins. Always a brilliant battle.
  17. Diggs sending Adams down Pearl when he was going to Elmwood was beautiful. (Hope the Buffalo street references were ok guys?) 👍
  18. Seattle 31-34 Bills Bass with the winning field goal from downtown as time expires.
  19. I'd take that scenario right now if it was offered up. I'd take it every game, every year.
  20. Please let Mike Dolce have a brother called Joe.
  21. And yet some will be more happy with that than a 3 point win versus the Patriots.
  22. A few packers players went down last night too. When is it time to start questioning the 49ers field turf?
  23. It’s been selected as the live 6pm game to be shown on Sky Sports over here 👍 The second time this season that’s happened.
  24. Myers & Jennings for this game. Which is great as Aikman gives my arse a headache.
  25. It's not enough anymore though. Style, panache, receivers doing backwards flips into the endzone as The Rolling Stones play the shout song in the stands is the expectation now. Anything other than a win without these just isn't acceptable, Rodger.
