  1. If he were here with this line and receiver talent I doubt you would see the same results.
  2. At this point I just want Allen to get more reps but like last week the D cant get off the field.
  3. More than just on Keenan Allen. Go back and watch your DVR...once he makes a decision he cant cut or chang direction.
  4. Edmunds is teeerrrrrible today. It's like he cant change direction. Also the whole team sucks.
  5. It's probably the same as sports fans in general complaining about how awful their team is and then watching and following the team religiously.
  6. Agreed. But seriously I get it that offensive coaches are the present and future but McD is going into game 2 of season 2 and fans are calling for his head. I am not saying you are. But I do think talent can mask things. It just seems too easy to blame coaching failures on coaching backgrounds. Coaching is more than background...its about connecting with players and getting buy-in too. I think in his short time McD has gone a long way toward getting that. Once more talent gets here...assuming it does...it will be easier to judge his performance regardless of his background.
  7. Yep...just like McDermot. 1 season. 1 playoff appearance. See how easy that is?
  8. Yes...for one !@#$ing year he was a very, very good coach.
  9. Is it though? Is it automatic that offensive-minded head coaches are more successful? Talent has nothing to do with it?
  10. That still doesn't support the argument the D-minded head coaches won't succeed. What has McVay done exactly? The Rams are LOADED with talent...which is to your point about BB having the goat at QB. My point is that where the coach cut his teeth is not the be all end all.
  11. Just like that crap coach in New England. Lousy coach...if only he was all about that O.
  12. Pretty dramatic statement by McD lol. I hope he isn't trying to tell us something...
  13. I don't recall Clay from Sunday (probably because he sucked so bad) but Benjamin looked like a mopey turd out there. I'm not a big fan of his attitude. Him calling out Cam apparently out of nowhere just screams of lack of accountability and how its always someone else's fault. I hope he proves me wrong (not that I matter but you get my point lol)
  14. Agreed, but at least McD said something about them rather than just deferring to "well, I think everyone, including myself, needs to do a better job".
  15. I can agree they probably should have been able to recognize it...but who knows what the heck they are thinking.
  16. I think Peterman in practice and preseason is a completely different player than in regular season. Peterman's abysmal game Sunday forced the Bill's hand on moving to Allen.
  17. I wonder if they will consider benching Allen if he doesn't play well...the thought seems to be that once they switch to Allen it has to be for good this year as they can't/shouldn't keep swapping back and forth. And I'm not assuming he WILL play poorly; more just wondering if they are going to ride with Allen for the season now or if the position will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis.
  18. If something is frustrating...even something you love...sometimes dialing back the investment is necessary. I never said all negativity is bad...but if people are losing their minds maybe they should take a break.
  19. I agree with you on a lot of your statements above. I think the board is quick to call negative posts overly negative and positive posts overly positive. My bet is that there are just SO many of the negative threads now that people are getting fed up with it.
  20. Personally I'm not making fun of you and my reason for offering advice to not be too invested is that getting angry won't change anything. Easier said than done, I know. But at the end of the day, you will be the only one that suffers (this is coming from someone who has his own share of anger issues that just end up hurting me somehow). I think, since this IS a discussion forum, it's obviously fine and encouraged to discuss things but it can snowball so quickly into just a negative cesspool. Kinda like what is happening all across the country on social media, on the news, etc. EDIT: to add to this thought, the above is one of the main reasons I have bashed Mike Schopp on WGR so much. I think he has spent so much time being negative (whether justified or not) that its almost made his default response negative. I think that is what I mean by not getting too invested emotionally.
  21. In fairness, if you are this frustrated maybe take a break from the team for a while? It's going to probably get a lot worse before it gets better.
