  1. Remember when they called a 900 number and listened to the ladies butt for an hour? Seems much funnier now than it did at the time
  2. He didn't look very good last night at times, then at times he looked pretty good. Looks way more comfortable throwing from the pocket than Allen. and he was accurate with the ball, even when throwing interceptions.
  3. My face when Peterman threw that 2nd interception.
  4. So it was Foster that got the axe. I had not seen confirmation of that. Surprised he made it this long to be honest. He was my UDFA sleeper to make the roster, then he has an awful preseason, and somehow still makes the roster.
  5. you know why we're having it? How can we trust the judgement of a front office that continues to ignore how bad Peterman is, who had no backup plan for how bad Peterman is, and who also passed on two solid NFL starting QBs the year before in Watson and Mahomes. Of course it's premature to have this conversation. But as much as the position has been botched in the past 18 months I don't think it's uncalled for to have this conversation. When it comes to pass/fail, really the only position that matters is the QB position.
  6. I want him to be our guy. I really do. But I'm not going to pretend I wasn't very disappointed when we passed on Rosen. I know that's been beat to death up and down. And that milk's on the floor. Hopefully a full year just working on fundamentals in the offseason, a couple of free agent linemen and some good wrs will get him where he needs to be. I'll be honest though, I don't think 2019 will be the year. I think that will be his 7-9 year as he improves, and in 2020 that will be the year we will know if he's a franchise QB or not.
  7. My favorite thing was when some god awful 80s video was on, and it would pan to them, mouths agape in horror. That's exactly how I felt about all the whiny turbo 80s music they were pushing back then. anything that sounded like Depeche Mode or the Pet shop boys was ear cancer in my book.
  8. I think they would have chosen him over Darnold if they had the opportunity.
  9. I think that until he validates being drafted 7th overall that horse keeps breathing. Now all the QBs drafted had flaws, so we would most likely be having this conversation regardless of who we drafted.
  10. I understand the context but if you haven't seen it at the college level what makes you think it's going to magically happen at the pro level? There was little to no film of him throwing the ball to analyze. There were guys from bigger school with more tape out there to look at. I still hope Allen becomes what we need him to be, I just never did understand what it was they fell in love with other than a big arm and a positive attitude.
  11. somebody been whackin in ma tool shed
  12. It's a tough area to be in. I think we have reached the point the Defense has to just grab the QB and hold on until the whistle blows but not take him to the ground.
  13. I want to know how a guy who never threw for more than 250yds consistently in college is somehow going to do it in the pros. I want to believe he can be developed. But the odds are against him and the Bills to do it. When I watched Wentz his rookie year he was throwing the ball and making mistakes but you could see he was figuring things out. He looked like he knew what he was doing just hadn't figured out how to do it consistently yet. I don't see that from Allen yet.
  14. We're going to need one when we release Peterman. which must happen
  15. I'm 40 wife is 43 and our daughter is 22 and about to graduate from FAU in December. Son is a junior in high school. I'm hoping not to be a grandparent for a few years but seems like it's gonna happen whether I want it to or not lol.
  16. Well I think there are valid criticisms of the way this FO has handled the position. Bridgewater was right there but we hesitated, and he would have beaten out Allen and probably played the entire season. There were other directions we could have gone, but sticking with Peterman has really put us in a bad situation and I think the front office and McDermott should rightly be criticized.
  17. I think we're going to see what we saw from Orton when he came in here for Marrone. He's not going to take those hits like Allen did.
  18. someone couldn't afford an urn but there was a Ralphs near by.
  19. These barely coherent threads are why i come here.
  20. The problem is WRs generally take a year or two to adjust to the NFL. We can't expect a rookie WR to come in and be our #1, and to help out Allen, it's not realistic. I'm hoping we get at least 2 WRs in free agency and I know we aren't supposed to be discussing FA in this thread but if people stake their hopes on a WR turning things around they'll be just as disappointed as when we drafted Watkins.
  21. 1st pick would be BPA, looks like a top 10 and possibly a top 5 so I can't say but I'm not going to say "I'd take a WR no matter what" If a WR isn't the best player, i'm not taking him. If Bosa slid to us, you have to take him, same with Oliver. Positions I would address with picks in the first 3 rounds: OL/WR/CB We need a corner opposite White, we need a center who can get a push, and we need a WR who can get separation. The other thing I would do is package those picks in later rounds and jump back into the 2nd and 3rd round and snag more top level players. We don't need 10 rookies, we need 4-5 starters.
