With all do respect, don't say this

I agree but the question is why? Are the routes not opening as they should? Is he missing his receivers on their routes. Is his O line giving him additional time to improvise? Is he scrambling to buy himself more time to find an open receiver? There are both good and bad about this. One of Josh's strength's is his ability to scramble and buy himself more time to find a receiver. Let's not be critical of that. Obviously given this, he needs to do the smart thing with the ball and throw it away if he doesn't find a open receiver. I think he's gotten better and recognizing that. I think the Denver roster has good talent on it. Their weakness is Elway and the coaching staff.

the middle is strong. Edges need some help.

Denver was successful stopping the run, limiting the Vikes to just over 2yds per. They came averaging 4 1/2 yds per. Diggs tore up Davontae Harris, who was pulled the last two series. I'm not sure Brown is as good as Diggs, but Daboll needs to study that and see how Diggs was beating Harris. If it was just speed, we probably can't replicate that. I think our TEs could have a big game.

Typical Denver weather this time of year. Shouldn't benefit either team.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with celebrating Lamar and his success. I want to see every draft pick become that special player. Of course, and that is true for any rookie through about year three, and thus the 4yr rookie contract. Some need more than a year or two to adjust to the NFL. Others peter out after a couple of years. Lamar is having a great year. But on every one of his runs, I find myself waiting for that train to come out of nowhere and flatten the kid. I've seen that too often. How many licks can the kid take? Yet to be determined, right?

Message from McDermott to team: “Play Fearless”

I hope McDermott's actions match his words. We'll see if he walks the talk. -

I'd love for no teams to show up. Doubt that happens, but... -

Seattle's TE, fight for the 50/50 ball and one handed catch last night, for example. -
Rational Thoughts after the Browns
Pokebball replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was thinking the other day that the offense plays not to lose for 3 quarters, then flips the switch and plays to win the 4th. The defense...just the exact opposite. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe it's my bias, but in all of the other games I watch each weekend, most teams seem to have WRs and TEs that make their QB look really good; the pass is anywhere near them and they go and get it, and come down with remarkable catches. You can count those made by Bill's receivers this year on one hand. -

Some mid-season thoughts re Allen and the team

While I don't disagree, I will never bet against NE in the playoffs. -
Tre White Most Important Player vs. Browns
Pokebball replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lot's of skill players named in this thread. I think the game is won in the trenches. Our O line has to get us a couple of hundred yards rushing. Our D line has to hold the Browns to 150 -
It felt like Rivers and the LAC thought they needed a TD didn't it? You got one of the best FG kickers in the league, get the 35yds and go home.

I hate to pimp up a Pat on this board, but Edelman holds clinics on most Sundays on how to create separation. I couldn't believe the separation he was getting in the SB last year. Early on in the SB, I was saying Edelman deserved MP if NE won the game. The routes and separation he was running and creating were amazing.

Southern CA is much like eastern NY in the media.

Who is the healthy scratch for Sunday?

It appears we should bring a strong running gameplan, complimented by a short passing game with the strategy of decent YACs. -
Simple poll. Is Josh Allen improving as a passer?
Pokebball replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I respect your Bill's passion. I guess I strongly disagree with an assumption that non P5 players are, by definition, lesser in value than are P5s. Lots of reasons that this isn't the case. Kids grow and mature at different rates. Allen was in the first round for both of his soph and junior years while at UW. The vast majority of pundits held an opinion different than yours. Whatcha think of that other MWC QB performance last night? Carr was money on that final drive. Time will tell who gave up too much draft capital and who didn't. Today, all you and I have in that regard are our different opinions. Curious...did you ever get to Laramie for a CSU/Wyo game? Laramie is the ideal college town. Go Bills. -

Having just joined the board yesterday one has to ask are you really a Bills fan? I await your answer. I don't care or desire to report anything. I appreciate the criticisms of Josh. It's what we do. -

Well, in the Bronze Boot's 51 yr history, CSU has only lead the series 1 yr. So perhaps the rivalry isn't as big for us Wyo fans
