Super Bowl Post Game Thread
BillnutinHouston replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did you intentionally write that as a statement of fact and not opinion? As written, its not a hot take at all, in fact it's 100% factually correct as of today. -
I hate the Super Bowl this year, and I hate pop culture every year.

Why did Marv not directly replace Ted Marchiabroda?

An equally timely and relevant question is, why did it take Lincoln so long to replace General McClellan as General-in-Chief of the Union forces? -
Brian Daboll Wants Matt Lombardo to Show Up on Time
BillnutinHouston replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree. Daboll could gave given clues to show he was just joking, but chose not to. He hadn't shown that side at all while in Buffalo, from my recollection. Odd, and maybe it was nerves. -
Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.
BillnutinHouston replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haven't really followed this thread in detail so not sure how much this angle has been mentioned, but this is a tough first impression delivered by Joe Schoen as a GM. Presumably he was responsible for managing the HC hire. -

Yes. 4D chess players are not known for their texting skills, so its best to keep them out of the know. -

Yes they did, but to our knowledge, neither were notified that Dorsey got the job before they interviewed. -

That's a statement that lacks proof, unlike Flores' case. -

Shocked that I'm the first to mention "Earhart-Perkins" and "pin and pull". TSW, you are slipping. -
My condolences. Thank you for letting us know. His posts were appreciated.

Who doubts that Daboll's absolute dream job is to be HC of the Bills? Maybe he's laying in the weeds and biding his time, even if it's years down the line. In the meantime, he puts up with the horrible task of being OC with Allen as his QB, with the chance to win multiple rings for his hometown. Sounds crazy, but how could a Buffalo boy not want that job with every fiber of his being?

Brandon Beane Season Ending Presser Weds 1/27
BillnutinHouston replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can we all agree that there is a difference between saying nothing to the public and then fixing things behind the scenes, and actually fixing nothing? We want to know the inside baseball, but most of it we never will. I for one can live without a public flogging and believe that McD will be brutally honest with himself and correct the problems to the extent possible. -
Chief Fans Make Donations to Childrens Hospital
BillnutinHouston replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure this story fits here, but didn't want to start a thread on this so here goes. This morning I was in what could be described as a "high level meeting" with an executive level member of the legal community who happens to be a big Chiefs fan. We exchanged pleasantries and I graciously bantered about the game being amazing but heartbreaking. We proceed through the (video) meeting agenda, then get ready to sign off, and he says "Oh I have one more thing to show you". He then goes off camera, grabs a ridiculously-sized commemorative Chiefs Super Bowl ring and sticks it into his camera. I didn't know what to say but managed one more gracious remark before signing off. Very surprised that someone of his stature would go to that next level. Maybe I'm just too sensitive or expecting too much class from a victorious fan base. I'd like to think I'd never go there if I ever got the chance. -
