  1. This "article" seems to be 180 degrees out from credible. Poorly written, pathetically vague and completely unsourced (except for the Jacobs quote which actually has nothing to do with the "news" he's breaking that the stadium may be coming soon). I love this: "Those closes (sic) with the current stadium executives think the decisions for the new stadium will be finalized within the next couple months, and that the new stadium may be built as early as the 2017 season." 1) I guess the author doesn't know that "the current stadium executives" means Poloncarz, because the County owns the stadium. 2) Both Poloncarz and Cuomo are on record as questioning the need for a new stadium. Yet according to Scott "scoop" Jensen they know this is happening and have remained quiet about it until this guy breaks the story. Embarrassing to UNC that the guy claims to be an alumnus.
  2. Two questions. One, does your opinion take into account the Jets' personnel decisions over the last few years? Two, do you know who John Idzik is?
  3. Incarcerated Bob. He's the real deal.
  4. Want to see media reports before I believe this. Pegula likely has standing orders that leaking is a firing offense. Makes no sense that Whaley texted that, unless it's to intentionally mislead for some reason..
  5. RWS' club seats already have a license fee embedded into the annual "member" cost. The license fee is not shown on the physical tickets, however. As I understand it, the license portion of the cost is unshared revenue so the Bills get 100% of that.
  6. PSL's will happen in some form in Buf, no doubt. I think the Vikings new stadium has more reasonable prices, probably more in line with Buffalo's pricing structure.I have 8-10 years to save up. A higher-end wedding for my daughter or 40 yard line seats forever? Hmmm.
  7. After reading the article linked on page 4 of the "Browns part ways with Kyle Shanahan" thread, this scenario makes me very nervous. If what's stated there is true, it speaks very poorly for both Dad and son.
  8. Could mean lots of things. If an agent throws that out there, it could be to allow his client to save face if they aren't ultimately selected. It's all a huge spin cycle right now.
  9. Exactly how I see it going down.
  10. Agree. Where it really came into focus for me was when it was announced that Orton was starting the final game. That decision served Marrone's purposes, but not the franchise's. If I have any beef with Whaley, it's on this point. Why he allowed Marrone to get away with that one is beyond me. As I see it, either Whaley lacked the stones to challenge Marrone on that decision, or was equally desperate for a meaningless win so as to try to lessen the sting of not having the first round pick and make the Watkins trade look less foolish. If either motivation was in play, it raises concerns.
  11. Right. And with Littman moving to Ralph's Foundation, he'd have no need to self preserve. Well stated. Folks need to take a breath.
  12. I'm wondering if Overdorf was the one who was outed as having bad mouthed Polian, and Pegula is now taking steps to jettison him. I seem to recall early on that JO was going to be involved in the interview process, now he's not.
  13. No doubt there's a connection there. It's not even well veiled.
  14. We actually don't know what role if any the Watkins pick played in Marrone leaving. It's all speculation. Was it money, power, insecurity, treatment by the fans and press, control of videos posted to the website? If anything I think it was most likely power going forward, not Marrone looking backward at the Watkins pick and sulking about that. But I get your point. Angst over the loss of the first round pick should not obscure the fact that we have a ROY candidate in the fold and a solid #1 receiver on the roster for many years to come. I think his body of work, absolute refusal to even discuss his injuries and consistency given this offense's limitations was outstanding.
  15. Thanks Yolo! Apropos to this thread.
  16. Someone here recently posted a great excerpt from a book written by Trent Dilfer where he recounted his college days during which he had a very positive coach, and contrasted that with his declining play in the pros where all he heard from his coaches were negative statements drilled into him such as "Don't turn it over"! That negativity produces tightness and negative mind sets that prevent athletes from doing their best. Coaching is critical to player development and this change could be exactly what EJ needs.
  17. Nice to see a voice of reason among so many....others. It should be a requirement that those advocating giving up on EJ must also state a credible plan for the QB position in 2015 and beyond. The guy was 2-2 this year, no?
  18. Wow. If that interview happens the Bills better keep it quiet or they'd probably lose half of their season ticket holders just on the basis of their considering Hackett.
  19. Kubiak: great technician but not a leader. Best suited to the OC role. I'm on board with Quinn as well. He WILL be a HC next year. I hope we land him and not the Jets.
  20. I was responding to a different Shanahan thread that later got merged. I don't expect it to make sense now and it's not worth my time trying to explain.
  21. I was confused by Mike Williams, concerned at Urbik, but became convinced when Orton was selected to start the final game. That's when I knew for sure that Marrone was putting his agenda ahead of the franchise's.
  22. Interesting plan. What I'm not clear on is why Kubiak would step away from coaching Flacco in the playoffs, to take a lateral position coaching EJ, Tuel and ? in Buffalo. What's in it for Kubiak?
  23. I hope he's full of regret. And cries. Hell hath no fury like a Bills fan scorned.
  24. Good draft pick by Buddy and a great idea to extend him.
  25. Do you get your way on every work issue?
