Had no idea there was as much of a Bills fan presence in Philly/ SNJ/ Del I remember wearing Bills gear during the Edwards/ Losman days. Even rough Philadelphia fans would do a double take. I know, I know. I went with my gut and played D Cook at RB3 this week and he saved my season. I faced the D Henry explosion and won because I trusted A Cooper a week before. My gut went with picking up Ebron, Conner etc. And I made the trade above for Cooper. Rivers is a terrible play. Wilson is the #2 play this week from the experts. I have the Rams D vs Arizona. In a way I want to put in Allen to prove a point, and break this curse. The Bills don't have to win, Josh Allen needs to get me 20 points. My WR3 is a mess, maybe that is the 'Allen' play with Foster. I should enjoy my improbable win tonight. But I want Allen to bring it home.

Ok, so no one loves fantasy only posts. Hence the title. Non fantasy players can move along. Fantasy football is a fun way to be a know it all GM. Way back I argued ridiculous trades for Andrew Luck in my very first posts on TBD (LAMP), to cut all of our old WRs (post was deleted cuz I was 'mean'), to draft Kyle Van Der Esch and do what it took to get Khalil Mack. My fantasy buddies laughed at me for for trading P Lindsay, M Breida and D Funchess for K Hunt and Amari Cooper in week 5. None of those things worked out..... I am in the championship game in my league and had the top scoring team (178 ppg) this season. Std scoring, 2 flex, IDP and only a 10 team league. 10 team leagues mean everyone is loaded, all the time. I prefer 10-12 team leagues for this reason. My first round pick was Bell (0 points). I lost AJ Green, E Sanders, Conner and Hunt in the last 4 weeks, and still managed to go 10-4, and be the top scoring team. As I lost players I added depth and Bills for ***** and giggles. I now have Josh Allen, Zay Jones and Robert Foster. My QB1 is Rivers and QB2 is Wilson. Josh Allen has outscored both since I picked him up 4 weeks ago. A Little Background: I was down 7 points to the #2 scoring team on Monday night. I had McCaffrey and Samuel, my opponent had Newton and a 7 point lead. The Christian McCaffrey 50Yd TD pass advanced me to the Championship Game. I am playing with house money now. I think it's time to start Josh Allen vs the Pats and break the curse. I have been in 5 fantasy championship games. I am 1-4. I have lost 3 championship games with Rivers at QB and one with Wilson as QB. My bench QB scores could have won any of those games. Injuries and depth at the college level

I see Bucky actually making a case for JA in these posts and tweets. It is frustrating seeing coverage fawn over Watson and Jackson as the next wave of dual threat QBs, with JA being considered marginal. Watson is a better passer to this point in his career, and I think he will have a solid NFL career. I like Watson a lot. Watson is also in his second year, and is passing to D.Hopkins, D Thomas, Will Fuller and Sutton. Lamar Miller is no bum at RB. Houston has a great Defense. Jackson has fewer games and is doing what JA did in his earliest games. But Jackson gets the attention. Jackon has Crabtree, Snead, and Brown to throw to. They are loaded at RB with Collins, Allen, Edwards and Dixon. The Ravens are also a great defensive team. Josh Allen has Zay Jones, McKenzie and Foster to throw to. Shady has dropped off, Ivory is out and then what? The Defense has played well, but has produced few scoring opportunities this season. Put Allen in the Houston or Baltimore offense and see what he does. There is no Hopkins and Thomas or even a Crabtree and Snead on this roster. Yet JA is starting to elevate guys like Foster and McKenzie. Buffalo MUST get Allen some legitimate weapons. I'd take a mix of Hopkins and Brown, or Thomas and Snead over anything Buffalo can put out there. Young legs are needed at RB also. Tate or Williams have to be a priority FA WR, and a round 1-3 receiver needs to be drafted. The O-line has to be improved, though they looked much better last weekend. We saw what JA can do with a little time. Watson, Allen and Jackson are all dual option QBs and will be the type of QB the NFL will look to emulate in the coming years. Buffalo has one of them, they need to get him some help.

I don't get some of the Whaley hate. He was able to find some decent draft picks, was good at scraping the barrel for contributors and was a witch in trades. Cap management was poor. I think the XFL is making the same mistakes all upstart pro football teams make. Putting teams in solid NFL cities. With the young guys coming around I agree now. A steady producer. Makes contested catches, doesn't have to be 'the guy'. Would still draft a WR in round 1 or 2.
