  1. Since being in Philly, Southern NJ. It's funny how people outside Jersey don't know Northern NJ and Southern NJ are different. I'm with the hicks and Philly suburbs in the south, but yeah, I'd speak well of NJ en general (Except property taxes!). Stay strong Buffalo Brother! You are surrounded by Giants and Jets fans.
  2. Indy will work on Defense and maybe a RB in the offseason. Congrats KC. You managed the QB situation correctly and will be in the AFC Championship game for it.
  3. In the long run this may have been the right move. We will see! Where in NJ are you? I used to live in Philadelphia, and have a ton of friends in NJ. NJ is beautiful, gets a bad rap. I may be there for the Super Bowl.
  4. I know Indy did not play well tonight, but how many people think that Indy with Reich and Luck, and KC with Reid and Mahomes will be monsters in the AFC for years? These are the teams Buffalo will have to beat in upcoming years.
  5. We agree LSHMEAB. Mahomes is a force because of where he landed. I was pointing out how Mahomes landed in the perfect situation, and to his credit he succeeded. He would not be the same QB in Buffalo. I also wanted to point out how resilient Josh Allen was given his cr@p situation. Josh Allen ended up in a much less perfect situation, and still flashed winning capability, despite being completely mismanaged as a 'project QB' I'm happy the Bills have Derek Anderson and Matt Barkley locked up in the QB room. JA is the guy, DA and MB know it. DA and MB are both good QBs but neither of their games translated to the NFL. But their experience, brains and ability to teach Josh about being a QB is priceless. I expect JA to improve dramatically in yrs 2-4. Yrs 5-10 will be great. Mark it now.
  6. Here's the thing. Mahomes had a full year to sit behind Alex Smith. A full year, no starting expectations, watching a very smart QB (A Smith) prepare and learn. He has a very good offensive coach who made McNabb and a bunch of junk other than RBs look good. Mahomes was 100% handled the right way. JA was not, and has not had the same. Most people wanted him to sit a year, like a red shirt, and learn the pro game. There is a reason JA appreciates having KA and MB on the team. Patrick Mahomes is phenominal. But he was also put into a 100% dream job. Had Buffalo drafted him, he would not be the same. The fact JA did what he did as a rookie, in a far worse situation, speaks to JA as a competitor. Mahomes landed in a dream situation. JA is the right guy for Buffalo, because has shown an ability to overcome the limitations around him. God knows the Bills messed up everything about JA's first year, and he still flashed success.
  7. It's better than advertised. In the current NFL a decent defense with a few play makers is enough. I think this team is hoping to have one 'play maker' at each level (White, Edmunds, DL?) and build around Allen being so versatile. A guy who can run for 10+, or pass it 60+ yards on any play is a place to build around. Need guys on offense that can execute it.
  8. A part of me wants this. If we go this route, the dark side route, go all in. K Hunt is a given top 10 RB that costs nothing but your soul. Woman owner, tough, but Hill, Mixon etc have done worse. If you go this route, trade for AB too. Go all out. The Bills can afford it. Buffalo could get Hunt, AB, TE Uzomah, and a RT/G/C in rounds 3-5. Go 100% dark side. WR 1 - Brown WR 2 - Foster Slot WR - Jones HB - Hunt TE - Uzomah QB - Allen Yeah, I would take some chances for this. Even if it meant being a pariah. Respect me first, be a pariah later. It worked for the Pats.
  9. Well buddy Eric Ebron wasn't 'all that' before joining Indy, despite being a draft darling and having the ability. How did that signing work out? 66 rec 740 yds 13 TDs I'll take 65% of that, and Uzomah is more capable of that than Clay.
  10. I love OT, OG, TE rounds 2-4, but I don't like Metcalf at all.
  11. behind Eifert, and then in targets to Green, Boyd and Ross. I think he is an unrestricted FA http://www.nfl.com/player/c.j.uzomah/2552559/profile
  12. Many people on TBD said, sit him a year, build up the offense and get a vet in to teach him the game. Mahomes is the next in line of many QBs to benefit from this approach. A lot of people on TBD said none of this was necessary, yet look at Mahomes. Look at Goff in yr 2. OBD finally started on this plan. Thankfully JA wasn't totally ruined in yr 1 despite being 100% mismanaged. JA is very special. How many other rookie QBs folded after an injury, or when forced in too early? Anyway, this is not a JA thread, but the ay KC managed Mahomes, is how any team should manage a top QB pick. Luck nearly lost his career to mismanagement, and he is also a stud.
  13. As a Philadelphian at the time Reid was there for the NFC championship games and SB, Reid is no master at this either.
  14. He's young. We are used to great QBs being 35+ yr old. Mahomes is young, healthy and hungry. Excited to see the new QBs of the league. I hope Josh Allen is one of them.
  15. Didn't imply they were buddy. But Buffalo was one team keeping TE alive in an era where TE was considered a dinosaur. Like FB now.
  16. 100% agree but admittedly conflicted about Watkins and there it is....
  17. special teams count many a 90's Buffalo Bills wins came via a special teams play I'm starting to think Frank Reich may have sold his soul to the devil.
