  1. Yes, that is a miss. If a better placed ball is a TD then that would call that a miss. Defending Josh at all costs makes so many so blind to reality. You are allowed to like Josh and still admit he missed on a throw. He wont get mad at you. It is ok.
  2. Read above. Context. It was not about Josh is not allowed to miss that pass. It was about if he did miss it or not. Honesty is the best policy. Yes he did. Move on.
  3. This is the nonsense right here. We make fun of the guy and use this logic to say that guy is not good. Yet with Josh everything is ignored? What big game has Josh played well in? He was bad in his only playoff game. Awful both career games vs BAL. Awful in 3 games vs NE. He was blah vs PIT and Duck Hodges. His game vs Dallas may be his only solid game and that was a 6-6 team. Seriously, I dont want to bash him. But when we mock other guys for playing bad in a big game and our own QB has not played big in ANY? Just wish we could keep it real.
  4. Context. The picture and discussion was not a "only Allen throws this pass" "Allen sucks and had a horrible game" post. It was responding to a few that actually said it was not a bad pass. He threw it in the right spot and that anywhere else it was a pick and not a touchdown. I called bs on that. Beasley was clearly open and had beaten the two deep coverage. Ball in the right spot and he is gone. Thats all. And yes, that pass can be missed by any QB and it does happen all the time. But no need to pretend it didn't happen.
  5. Because for some reason Lamar being good means Josh is not as good is what it seems. Some weird stuff on these boards. Just like Tyrod Taylor can only be awful and Josh is great. I just read how Kyler Murray is not a real QB like Josh is. Only Josh can be good and nothing else is allowed.
  6. Many would disagree. I am hopeful that Allen will be the better QB in the long run. But most impartial / non Bills or Cards fans would look at the evidence and say Murray is the better QB right now. Was better in college and has had a better NFL start.
  7. Is this a quality or quantity issue? The Bills use Allen as part of the running game and I dont think it is because they lack a running game. It is part of the strategy because they value that part of his game. Singletary did have 750 yards on only 150 carries. I would speculate he is a 1000 yard rusher if he is given a big work load. Add in that Gore did rush for 600 last year and you had 1400 yards from your RB's. I would say regardless of Allen we have at least a decent running game. Add in Allen and it makes it a stronger one.
  8. Yet we only one by 10. This should have been a 56-3 like blow out based on how it started.
  9. No question he produced. Just think its pointless to say he produced a certain percent of offense. That says more about the running backs than him. I dont think any team strives to have the QB be 100% of the offense. I would think most prefer a mix which means good balanced offense. A 60-80% number.
  10. Jackson has won an MVP. Mahomes threw 50 TD's in one season. He threw for 5000 yards in a season. Josh has thrown 32 TD's and ~5000 yards in his career and sub 60% completion rate. And we are crying he gets criticized for bad plays more than those guys? That is how it goes in any sport. Tre White gives up a TD he is given much more slack than Levi Wallace right? If it is Levi this board would be screaming to bench Levi. White gets some slack because he has earned it. And it actually is warranted. I can guarantee in many less attempts Allen has missed open WR at a much higher percentage than Mahomes, Brees, Brady, etc. Josh has a decent number of those in many less passes. So yes, they will be pointed out until he is not that guy anymore.
  11. i think this is a dumb stat. All it shows is either the QB ran a lot or the RB had terrible games. Examples not that it is needed: QB 1 goes 4-28 for 57 yards; 4 carries for 13 yards. Team gains 13 yards rushing. Wow - what a game by that QB! 100% of the teams offense. QB 2 goes 28-30 for 300 yds; 0 carries; Team gains 200 yards rushing. We dont need QB2. He only accounted for 60% of the offense. Lets go sign QB 1.
  12. Can he play LB. Dont see how we dont add one or tow with all the injuries even if day to day.
  13. We can agree to disagree. The safety was behind him and to his left by at least 5 yards. Allen throws that ball in stride Beasley catches and outruns the safety. I could not find any of the analysis with pics out there yet. But here is my amateur shots - not the best angle, end zone shot would be best. You can see if he is able to continue running straight and not have to dive and towards the safety he is gone.
  14. I am actually positive. I just think Josh and Bills can be much better. This game is not the mountain top but just somewhere about mid mountain. As the season goes we will see Josh not having to work as hard to score points. That is all. The offense scored and was productive but it did not go as smoothly as it will. That is the good part about being a good team now...you can not be at your best and still beat bad and average teams. Need to take it up a notch vs KC and BAL.
  15. No no no. Watch the film. That ball is placed in the right spot and he is gone. He had beaten the coverage and split the safeties and was running past them. He had to dive for the ball instead of catching in stride and taking it to the house. You dont even need All 22 to see this one.
  16. Here is what I said. How is this talking out of my behind.I said it is finding the balance of the two. I felt and it is my opinion that the Bills were not as strong on the scripted portion of the plays as they would have wanted. Yes, of course you take this game. But in a game vbs a better team they dont let you beat them as much with those types of plays. The second half you saw even the Jets defend Allen better. It is a plus to have a QB like Allen that can make something out of nothing. But you plan for the something not the nothing. And I never said anything about 100% passing. I said his stats look better than his play. He lit it up early and then struggled a bit. He will learn and get better. I think this will not be one of his best games of the year but more of a mediocre one when all is said and done. That is being positive not negative. Yes and no. We are mostly casual fans on here so I know this will not happen. But...watch the film and it was not as good of a performance as just the stats show. Not just the fumbles and couple of missed passes. Still too many plays that turn into improvisation which is good at times, but too much is a QB that still struggling a bit with reads and decisions. I guarantee you the coaches and Josh are watching films and even on a play were he scrambles one way and then goes another for a 22 yard run they are saying look at Diggs here and this is when you should have thrown the ball etc. They now you dont win consistently playing that way. In a big game that 22 yard run turns into a 10 yard loss or a bad pass attempt on the run or a fumble. It is finding that balance of scripted vs improv.
  17. Is it the the people who scrutinize? Or that anyone who scrutinizes or appears to scrutinize is attacked. This board is so sensitive to anything possibly being said in a negative way. Only rainbows and butterflies allowed...
  18. Disagree on the bolded. But I call it a solid B. Grading on a scale of how good I expect him to be and the Bills this year. designed passes stayed pass plays - which showed me that maybe he’s done a lot of work on going through progressions. (Decent number of plays he turned into scrambles; Without seeing film hard to say if many of the checkdowns were right decision or not making the open throw.) Great decision making overall I thought. How many third down throws did he make that were well placed a yard or two past the marker? How many plays did Allen make where you asked, “Why on Earth did you decide to do THAT, Josh”? For me, barely any. (Not many but a few second half wtf moments.)
  19. What is the word on Tre? Thought there some questions on if he was hurt? Have not seen anything and not listed on the end of game in jury report. He missed a few snaps in the game but maybe that was just rest him.
  20. Yesterday's game. You said it - one game. As I said - Josh has the well deserved reputation based on his NFL and College stats as being inaccurate. He needs to earn a new reputation. One game does not change that. Do you think it should? Nobody questions this doesn't happen. Difference is this is showing examples of guys that have won the MVP and are proven passers making bad passes vs a guy that has yet to prove that he can be an accurate passer. Its like the guy that is late to work a few times a week is late and says but everyone is late once in awhile. Yes, true but for them its the exception not the norm. Allen needs to earn a reputation and until then it is what he is.
  21. I would add in guys like Vick, Vince Young, Tebow, and heck even going back to Flutie. It is proven tough to sustain a long career as a running or dual threat QB.
  22. That is too rational. Not allowed on these boards. Only 100% positive and no questioning any decisions allowed.
  23. Did anyone see the Ravens game. Jackson is terrible. The guy is not a real QB. Not sure why he gets so much props and Allen gets bashed for throwing for 300+.
  24. Nobody questions this doesn't happen. 25. Good point here. I think this is what many that are complaining about Josh running so much are talking about. This is the NFL and a QB taking so many hits take a toll. Not to mention concussion rules - that could have him out a few weeks just like that. I think because Josh is a bigger guy he plays more aggressively in his running style but he needs to learn to be smarter with it. Save those for when you need that extra inch not on every run.
