D was not awful or even bad. But did give up TD's on 3 of 7 drives, 8 counting the last one when MIA was running clock. They generated no turnovers, gave up some big plays, 3 for 3 giving up TD's in red-zone. That is decent but not up to our standards. This could have been a game you keep your opponent in the single digits.

Landon Collins, Chris Harris, Jimmy Smith, Kevin King...heard of them all. Can we do worse?

Very true - just saying same 13 seconds. I dont want to go into excuses but it is frustrating how the refs can control the game clock by how fast they reset the ball. I have seen a play like that get reset much quicker - mck was down with about 8-9 seconds. That is a long time to not get a play off.

Agree. Allen has proved he can play on the final drives. But it does mean something that we still cannot close the door. Is that on Allen or the coaches. Allen did what he needed but McK did not get down and plays earlier in the game cost them; not Allen on the final drive.

It is right to be unimpressed with him. At RB you see rookie and random guys come in and do decent here and there. It is right to say be patient. Some guys just take longer than others to get comfortable.

This was a team failure. A lot left on the field in all three phases. But cannot win them all, though sucks losing such a winnable game. As others have said this was like that ugly Pats game. Move on and hope you learn from it and piss you off to go beat the fins 56-0 next time.

Hoping for a CIN loss to the Jets. They fold on the season and trade us Bates. Problem solved.

Hyde and Poyer play huge roles in this defense. Having them allows the team to do lots of things. Will be interesting to see who steps up and how this plays out. Johnson has played one real game in his career and that was a 40-0 blowout vs HOU. The Bills would not have paid Hyde if he was not as important as people want to admit. Does not mean doom and gloom, just a bigger task and downgrade without him on the field.

Yep - better grab him before Seattle. Could be a good addition even with a healthy Hyde to at least help in the run game.

The key is the ability to run. We have to be able to run the ball if needed. It may not seem like it but there will be times the defense does things that will make relying solely on the passing game a challenge. Allen adds a run threat element but how long do we want him to be a run threat? So avoid that falling on him we need a decent threat from our backs.

Keep the fast tempo on offense. Uneducated guess - singletary drives vs moss drives. Which ones have better outcomes? Seems like we score every motor drive and stall on moss.
