  1. He has $1.5M base plus had a $1.5M roster bonus. They took the $1.5M roster bonus and converted that. So instead of the entire $1.5M hitting this years cap, it is now spread across 4 years. So gives you more cap this year and takes away a bit in the next 3 years.
  2. CB position is the biggest concern. White may not be back until midseason. RB is still betting on Singletary. Maybe we can upgrade via the draft here. OL is also an area that could use some depth. Hopefully Morse stays healthy, if not you have Bates as backup. Saffold and Ike/Bates should be average. Dawkins and Brown are solid. WR is another area the draft could help. Diggs is still the guy, but he got shut down last year vs the prior year. I dont know if the Chief game Davis is the guy you get on a weekly basis. Crowder is a nice pick up. My draft is best CB/WR in the first and likely 2nd. Then you go best on the board at OL, RB, CB, WR the rest of the draft.
  3. I would say no. Still on his rookie contract.
  4. Depends what veteran means. In traditional sense it would be guys like: Hyde Poyer White Diggs Dawkins Lawson Phillips
  5. Disliking the rule and enforcing it are two separate things. I also hate the rule. BUT if you have a rule then enforce it. Dont pick and choose when you are going to call it. I am blanking on the scenario but recall the Bills getting screwed on a taunting call in the HOU playoff loss.
  6. These type of signing are interesting when we are up against the cap trying to fit guys in. You just hope the cap number is low and has no impact if he is cut.
  7. I will believe the KC drop when I see it. I think your QB is much more important than a guy like Hill. Mahomes will still win them games.
  8. Hill, Waddle, Gesecki and Devante Parker are solid weapons. They get decent QB play and they are a tough team. I also think Mahomes is in the Brady / Rodgers category in that they can lose a guy like Hill and replace him. Still - Bills have the best D in the conference and at least top 5 offense.
  9. What happened to speed? We may have the slowest rb's in the league with Singletary, Moss and Johnson. We need a speed back.
  10. Dont mind him as a back up. But for $6M? Waiting to hear that number come down to $2M hopefully.
  11. There has got to be a Fitz or similar that does not care about cash at this point and just wants a ring.
  12. Wish list: WR: Possible - Jones, JuJu, Landry Unlikely - Robinson LB: Possible - Van Noy, K White Unlikely - Wagner CB: Possible - D Jackson, Peterson, Haden Unlikely - Gilmore RB: Possible - Fournette, David Johnson, Michel Unlikely - Paterson
  13. Miller Jones Mack but lose a 2nd I think they are close enough that its not worth giving up a 2nd for Mack. Miller vs Jones is a close one. I think you could go either way on these guys. Miller is not playing in the dirt as much as Jones. But I like the idea of Miller lining up next to our bigger DE's or next to Oliver and running stunts. I see Jones being used in more of a traditional way. But either would be fine just glad we got one of them.
  14. Nice. Let’s see a similar deal for a Julio, juju or another wr for a fresh start.
  15. So much to all those that said we don’t do “dumb stuff” like this. What you have to say for yourself. Now let’s work some magic and get a wr on the cheap. Turnaround story for a guy like juju or Julio?
  16. Now I’m confused. I wanted them to do something but need to check this contract out. 6 years at his age? Even 4 years?
  17. Since when is signing a guy to a 2-3 year deal "mortaging the future"? I see that as the opposite - win now without sacrifcing too much. If you notice a lot of the deals are short term and this is the NFL so its easy to get out of even long deals. Every time we dont sign 1 or 2 guys we hear the "all in" comment. Makes no sense. It is so easy to make deals work for a few guys. What actually hurts more is along the line of what are roster has - tons of depth guys making too much money.
  18. All the teams that have made the Super Bowl the past few years have done so partly by being very active in adding players. LAR, CIN, KC, TB...
  19. Snaps we have lost or expect to lose: Wallace - 994 / 92% Hughes - 558 / 52% Addison - 482 / 45% Phillips - 474 / 44% Butler - 282 / 26% Klein - 277 / 26% Obada - 237 / 22% Zimmer - 161 / 15% Williams - 1172 / 98% Sanders - 747 / 62% Beasley - 691 / 58% Boettger - 636 / 53% Feliciano - 442 / 47%
  20. I get the whole we almost went to the Super Bowl last year etc. But that seems to have made most forget how much the team struggled last year. Late in the season we needed to beat NE late and were legit close to not even making the playoffs. It was a huge disappointment. We know what happened and then we crushed NE in the playoffs and should have beat KC. I dont know if we can always just bank on we have JA and we can win vs anyone. At some point we need to push a few more chips in to get this team over the top. We are wasting some prime years of JA with a strong defense. Adding another legit weapon on either side of the ball would be huge. As of now we are going into to next year thing: JA at QB - not sure who is back up and hopefully never matters. RB - Breida gone; No change yet. WR - Beasley and Sanders gone. Expecting Davis to step up and Mck bigger role? TE - No change OL - Saffold for Williams; Brown better in year two; No depth as of now. IDL - Swapped Jones and Settle for Phillips, Butler, Zimmer DE - Addison, Hughes, Obada all gone. No replacements yet. LB - Klein gone, No replacement DB - Wallace gone; No replacement So these holes are all filled via the draft and lower tier FA's?
  21. And AZ was a playoff contender
  22. No he will be considered terrible. Way overpaid by WAS. So much for the best offense ever for the Bills.
  23. #2 CB in a passing league. #3 WR in a passing league. #2 TE in a passing league. #2 QB in a passing league. #2 or #3 DE in a passing league. We have addressed depth at RB, depth at DT, a run blocking G. I dont like the approach. Not the end of the world but I hope they would have spent some resources early on any of the DB, WR, pass rush, which is consistent with what most world say the biggest needs were.
  24. Glad we are close to locking up our 3rd DT in free agency.
  25. $20M is basically free
