  1. ^ Truest sentiment ever... I wanted Rosen and when they were both there, I wanted him more... However, I would have been equally comfortable had we gotten Allen at 12. In hindsight, I'm not mad we traded up to get one of them however, it just was not the one I had in mind. All is not for loss though because the silver lining in everything is that Miami was snaked by the Cardinals. Which means that we will not have to compare our choice of 'Joshua' 2x a yr for the next decade and have that comparison directly affect our playoff implications via division and conference influence... My big gripe is I wanted to watch some 'action' in rd. 2 and I would have liked at least one of those back right now but they are a front office for a reason so I trust it.
  2. Im not so sure politically but from a lack of hassle point of view, maybe. I feel like Rosen will work very hard and do well as long as he feels that there is something to take from whoever is teaching it. I worry (worried) that if we take Rosen then he may not mesh w/Daboll for not being prodigious enough mentally and it would cause a rift. I think out of the group (1st rounders), Allen then Lamar Jackson are the most 'coachable' in the sense that they will come in, not cause any flak and be as more pliable than any of the others. Well maybe Darnold too.
  3. How is moving into the top 10 for a QB that we scouted and wanted (either as the 1, 2 or 3) out of many others available the same. Again, I also wanted Rosen and think for a multitude of reasons that he may be better long-term and has more potential immediately, starter capability early on, etc. however, us trading into the top 10 for a QB and choosing one we like over other ones is NOTHING like anything we have ever done. Also, in regard to your fandom... No one was questioning it, or did I need you to somehow try to validate how die hard you are by letting me know you may be older than me. Great! I don't care. If you don't want to 'give free passes' or 'get on board with any kool-aide train' then don't. Just do not post. You are seriously on here whining about how sad you are about your picks? We're this Bills... This happens often, remember? Right now your'e upset, it happens a lot during the draft. Once you get over it, then we'll realize we all like the same team and get back on board with the Bills this fall. Do yourself a favor, take a nap, sit down and jump on board with the Bills early this year, and go back to being the most tenured Bills fan of all time for all I care.
  4. Why are you throwing such a pity party? You are responding to every comment about 'where you stand' with an Avatar/name featuring Rosen, we get it... Why waste your time responding to all of them? Plus responding to everyone to validate how screwed we are does nothing for anyone. Remember, "being able to regurgitate and recall stuff doesn't apply". I wanted Rosen too, we didn't get him. Now we need to trust that we are NOT professionals working in a front office and if we were then our criticism for alternatives may be warranted. However, we are not. Arizona did not trade next years first rounder or second rounder to move up for Rosen either when they could have... Maybe there was a reason? I don't know. If we get set back because of our QB, how far back will that be? Honestly? Will we *gasp* not make the playoffs for some ungodly stretch. No way that could happen unless we drafted Rosen. Look, the point is, it could be way worse and Allen (should) be serviceable at worst, at least given his scouting reports (a la physicality/size/etc). Look, Tyrod took us to the playoffs (albeit w/luck from everywhere) or contested for us to go at least twice and regardless of whether Allen is the same, worse or better we still should be fine. We did not mortgage ANY future picks... We nabbed arguably the 1 or 1a ILB and if we suck with Allen, (which according to many others probably to include yourself) we should have a high enough draft pick to amend our mistake in a couple years. IF you have literally been a Bills fan for over last season you would pull yourself out of your Pit of Sorrow (Dilly Dilly) and get on board. No one likes someone looking for attention.
  5. ^ Exact sentiments. Because of his 'high ceiling'... No, lol I am kidding... Honestly because I AM SURE that if we did not take him at seven he would not have lasted much longer, I will be confident that not only B-lo but that in addition to the fact MANY other NFL Gm had him rated so highly. Trust the process
  6. ^ I would rather have Darnold in our division than Mayfield. However, I would have preferred to counter Darnold with Rosen but hey we have a future Offensive AND Defensive captain (hopefully). Also, theres the fact that both were graded (on avg) arguably no. 1/2 for their positions and both are hands down the most physical/athletic/prototypical from an athletics standpoint. Perhaps, the Ocean feels cold because we are not used to ever getting in the water. I am surely hoping for Allen to pan out but landing Edmunds was massive. It was easily our biggest 1a and 1b hole and we filled both immediately, again things we have never done... New territory, we'll be fine.
  7. New England does things like that which make me despise them more and more... They literally paid someone to not play for B-lo last year...
  8. ^ I have lurked on Shaw's posts since BBMB and they're always gold.. Thanks man! Losman was a terrible one, and your artist from Penn State over Orakpo was pretty bad but the OP is kinda right about about this one. I cannot remember a draft where we have been so close to such a highly rated QB prospect, whomever that is this year. EJ was the best hype we had and unfortunately there were no 1st rd (graded) QB and we reached... To play Devil's advocate here the best QB in that entire class may be Mike Glennen (WOW). This is just about as close to right time/right place with the most capital and largest number of top tier franchise changers within our sights. I dunno, I am probably rambling but it's all because I'm stoked for the Bills tonight!
  9. Although this is unfortunate for him and his health (leg), I think he is the most comparable to LeSean and maybe the reduced split workload could extend both of their careers... I would absolutely love to see him fall to us.
  10. I just read somewhere among the midst of twitter fodder/rotoworld that Hurst is supposed to fall completely out of the first. IF we land a QB that we feel comfortable with and it does not cost us our (lowest) second rd pick, would you take Hurst or stick to the OL/WR/LB plan for our second draft selection, assuming Ragnow/Price/Chark/Smith/Vander Esch are gone? What does everyone think? Plus its nice to not talk QB.
  11. Its wild because his arrogance stems from the collection of high draft picks that he owns... Which is a direct result of the garbage organization Cleveland has run for the last three decades... Its almost ironic (I get it was not him who earned theses picks)
  12. I really like both, still... However, Rosen has grown on me and overtaken my No.1. I love Mayfield but without the Giants it would be nearly impossible plus I like Rosen more, especially at 4,5,6 or later. As long as we do not go to 4,5,6, etc and choose Allen over him I will be fine. If we miss him by choosing Allen, it is likely the Fish will take him and the last thing I would want is Allen of Rosen, Mayfield and Allen as the newly comprised AFCE rookie Qb trio... terrifying. We need to go get him.
  13. Except that even requires training... what Mel does is hobby turned career This could not be more true. I literally remember this doofus along with many others talking about how cordy was too slow and only cable if he was used as being a scheme specific type of guard... only having played LT at a very high level and multiple scheme changes later I think was one of many examples of Mel’s greatness
  14. Me too. I think/hope (for our sake, if we take him) that Allen is productive however... I dunno
  15. I hope it does not come down to a Rosen v. Allen pick...
  16. Im dying after looking at the look in Ralphs eyes....
  17. Especially them.... They are the absolute worst, with NE a close #2 for teams that the NFL would be better off without.
  18. Thank you so much for this. No more truth has been spoken. Want a comparison, look at Pete Carroll (not a fan but...) who hacked it at both levels... Saban is and always will be a choade. Is he the GOAT (NCAAF Coaching), probably? However, is D-Bag Belicheck the GOAT (NFL Coaching), also a probably? Who cares, both are choades and I would not want either.
  19. If it were to go down like that I for one would be ecstatic. We could literally end up with a QB that is arguably in everyone's top three and still grab a stud at 22 or higher (which there will be plenty because of the run on QB) and have the capital to trade higher into the second/first all while still keeping the top pick of the third round... I like Mayfield and Rosen for Qb we have a shot at and I would not be crushed if we got Allen at 12 or LJ8 somewhere near there but to only lose a 1st next yr for Mayfield... I would cream
  20. ** Mods can you please merge this thread with my previous about PJ Hall? I am not sure how to do it myself, sorry** http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/equanimeous-st. brown?id=2560203 https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/Article/Equanimeous-St-Brown-impresses-at-NFL-Combine-115775737 https://www.nfl.com/prospects/equanimeous-st.brown?id=32462018-0002-5602-03f6-dbdbfff5cbea Assuming we trade ONE of this yrs 1st Rounders (and next yrs) and then use the other 1st Rounder to draft a ILB or similar type player to head the defense, agreeably we still have massive holes and/or depth issues at WR, OL and DL.... What does everyone think about reaching into the bottom of the 2nd for a WR with our ONLY 2rd pick (assuming we still have a pick/the ability to get there) and drafting St. Brown? Or should we go DT? If so, who do you guys like for DT and do you like them at the bottom of the 2nd? I know ESB seems to fit the stronger possession type mold similar to that of KB however, we all know about KB injury history and contract concerns. Also, ESB ran a 4.48 so hes not necessarily only a possession guy. He did however pump out 20reps (and his dad is a 2 time Mr. Olympia) as the tallest receiver in the draft... For his wingspan (33in) he has unreal upper body strength as he pumped out 7 less reps than consensus 1rd pick Alabama DT D. Payne... I believe we could take advantage of ESB lower draft position due to his putrid QB play and at worst end up with insurance on KB should he get injured and/or not resign with the Bills next year? Please let me know what you guys think?
  21. That is exactly how I feel. I was surprised to learn that Phillips was 6'4" but stoked to see how long his wingspan was with that strength (something like 40+ reps, I think). Unfortunately for us all of that athleticism showed through and he will likely get plucked earlier than where I had hoped we had a chance (at the end of 2). I still hope we can use our earlier (later day 3 and on) picks on a DT like Hall though.
