I think he's a legitimately good candidate, but the optics just won't be good with Cleveland in particular.

Just connecting dots. McDaniels' wife being there = him being the favorite IMO. Stefanski being the choice last year = probably being the fallback. And I just don't think Cleveland can live with the optics of it if they hire Daboll, who failed as an OC in Cleveland and also looks like Kitchens.

Seems like it'll be McDaniels with a small chance of Stefanski and 0 chance of Daboll. This pleases me.

On the topic of the pass-rushers, from everyone's favorite analytics site: https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-misleading-sack-numbers-free-agents-2020 The basic premise of the article is that pressure rate is more indicative of future sacks than current sacks are (similar to how point differential is a better indicator for future wins than current wins are). Agreed with all of this. The only part that I'm not 100% sold on is the Anderson part. I would tend to lean towards agreeing with you, but at the same time, it's seemed like we've pursued basically every good WR that's become available in the past year regardless of any issues they might have (with the exception of Gordon). Robby's might be worse than anyone else's though. He's pretty much the only FA WR I'm interested in though.

Howard is the one that's often discussed because he's the sexier get as a former first round pick that's shown flashes of elite play, but for those same reasons, I think he might be the one Tampa ultimately keeps. I suspect both are available for trade; it's just a matter of which one Tampa ultimately wants to get rid of. I'd gladly take either one here.

Aside from maybe the OLine, Wentz was by far the best part of that offense this year. He's nowhere remotely close to being the problem.

I would mention Cam Brate as a potential trade target in addition to OJ Howard. I don't think it's a given that Howard would be the tight end Tampa potentially moves this offseason. Either one would be a good acquisition for us.

I knew he was in it but didn't realize that was him until after the fact either. I was just watching and was like "Man, this dude is owning these scenes" and then it clicked in my head afterwards.

Didn't see it mentioned in here, but I got around to watching Dolemite Is My Name during one of my recent flights...man that movie is so good. Eddie Murphy and Wesley Snipes in particular are just awesome. Just a really well-made fun movie. I totally get why it's getting some award buzz.

Only thing I saw was mentioning that he had worked hard the past few weeks and deserved the increased reps he saw against Houston. But they also made it pretty clear they're upgrading at WR this offseason.

The 4th and 27 is indefensible. DiMarco lining up out wide is. The idea is that we generally motion him (and RBs and sometimes TEs) back in and that allows Allen to see what kind of coverage the Texans are in. In some of these cases, we broke tendency by actually snapping it with them out wide.

I totally agree. I’m just saying people expecting him to be possibly the fastest non-Ruggs WR in the class are probably gonna be disappointed.

The Athletic has him at a 4.55. ESPN has him at a 4.59. WalterFootball has him at a 4.52. He's not an elite speed guy at all. Nobody views him that way. Feel free to tag me if he actually is in the 4.3's. I think people tend to think WRs are faster than they really are and he's no different.

I like Shenault, but there's no chance he's a 4.38 guy. I would expect him to come in a little slower than a 4.50. If he beats a 4.50, he's done well.

100% agreed. They obviously screwed up the ruling at the end of the day. I'm only trying to point out that they purposefully made sure that the official call on the field was a touchback because had they come out of that huddle and called it a touchdown, there's no way it would have been overturned.
