  1. With the 32nd pick in the TBD mock draft 3.0, the Philadelphia Eagles select James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee. Typical Eagles right? Just sit around and let the draft come to you. I don't think Pearce is the best fit everywhere, but the Eagles have gotten the most out of guys like this. I considered Harmon and a corner here, but the upside of Pearce is just too great to pass up. An explosive first step, the dude can get to the QB and ran a faster 40 than most of the Bills' receiving corps. I think Pearce is a great fit and will help replace some of the pass rush that walked out the door this offseason. I know there are character things, but the Eagles seem to make these things work. Big upside here. That wraps up mock draft 3.0 Thanks to @Virgil for running this again.
  2. I think @Virgil has been pretty clear that we would trade up in 3.0, pretty much no matter what and that is what won the poll. I know it's a little silly that we wound up picking the same guy, but the purpose of the exercise was to see some of the different possibilities and outcomes for the draft. And I suppose we learned that we may not have to trade up. I think it is pretty clear that there are a lot of people on the board who really like Grant. I think he will be long gone, but that's JMO.
  3. This regime just does not seem to value that much for what they want to do defensively, which I can understand. Most teams aren't going to spend a high pick on a big bowl of goo. I think most of these guys are versatile and can play multiple spots. I don't think Grant is a tub off goo and I do think he is way more versatile than people give him credit for. But I don't think we need to get too hung up over 1 vs 3 tech stuff. Just draft good football players who make plays and have an avenue to playing time. That's Grant or Harmon etc.
  4. With the 30th pick in the TBD mock draft 3.0, the Los Angeles Rams select Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State. While I don't think Warren is going to drop this far, I do think the Rams could make a move for Warren or Loveland. In fact, I think the QB stuff is all smokescreens as a strategy to get people to move up in front of them for QBs to push talent to the line. The Rams have some pressing needs that could be met with this pick, but I can't pass on Warren. Reports are the Rams tried to trade up for Dalton Kincaid a few years ago and Brock Bowers last year. The Rams' offense was always at its best when they deployed Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett together. Warren gives Sean McVay an exciting chess piece who can play in line, H-back, in the slot, and line up at RB, FB, even QB. They have drafted a ton for the defense, this one goes to coach McVay and the offense. Warren is 6-6, 261, and has soft hands. @HappyDays and the Kansas City Swifties are on the clock.
  5. A ton of offensive linemen in there, which makes a lot of sense. Highest I have seen Zabel and Jackson.
  6. Honestly, I don’t think either guy is a 2 down linemen. I think they both have flexibility and would be welcome additions. These guys aren’t zero tech Mt. Cody types. Additionally, we are a 4-2-5 team, meaning you are always in third down defense. I voted Harmon because Grant won last time. But I Amos is going to be the pick tomorrow IMO.
  7. Yeah I hear that, I don't fault them for taking this stance, though I would hope James would just negotiate with Beane and his agent. But the Bills are dumb if they do this. He's a nice player, but when Cook was out, they were fine.
  8. Dalvin was cooked after two years of that extension and is out of the league at age 29. Buyer beware because there is literally a family history of this type of extension not working out.
  9. I very much think the pick is Amos here in real life, but I think Grant and Harmon are very tempting, and they could be lying in the weeds on the safety.
  10. Personally, I like Jacobs a little better, but I think that is a very fair number for Cook. And the 15 million a year posturing may just be him trying to get 10, which I think I would be okay with.
  11. Should we eliminate Amos and Grant since they won the last first two drafts?
  12. 15 million AVV would make him the third highest paid RB in the league after Barkley and McCaffrey. He'd be above Kamara, Jonathan Taylor etc. To me, Cook is an 8-9 million dollar a year back, and I think that is fair. That puts him in that tier right below Josh Jacobs. JMO.
  13. Rams accept! @Virgil and TSW poll are on the clock.
  14. I think they could go offensive line or edge as well
  15. Just personally, I find Oladejo a lot more interesting than Jackson. I like the dynamic upside.
  16. None of it is mandatory. From the pictures,it looks like other guys aren't there like Bosa. I would start to worry if he is missing mandatory stuff. or just draft his replacement this weekend because there are a whole bunch of guys in this draft who can bring similar dynamics.
  17. Yeah, that entire bolded section is explaining Trey Amos exactly. He's fast, can play zone and man, tackles, and gets turnovers. He's a very clean prospect and projection.
  18. Yeah he fits like a glove there. I do think this is a realistic scenario if more than half the teams feel he is a nickel player. But yeah, great pick and landing spot IMO.
  19. I am seeing Grant creeping up in a lot of mocks and Harmon falling a bit.
  20. Jackson feels like a Billsy pick. And I like him. But I read a bio that compared him to AJ Epenesa. AJ is ok, but I think we need more. But this regime has types they target so it makes sense that he would be a guy they like. Second round feels more appropriate imo, but projections are all over the place.
  21. If I’m the Bills I am probably thinking about trading up for Barron, Harmon, or Golden at this point. I don’t think they would pick Barron, but they should.
  22. i could see the Falcons doing that for sure. Raheem Morris probably a good fit for a guy with some of the Green stuff.
  23. I could see them trying to get up for that elite talent, but it seems unlikely. I think it's just going to be a plug-the-holes kind of draft. A corner, probably two DTs, and edge. It may feel pretty underwhelming. Arms are too short for my liking and I hear there are off-the-field concerns.
