  1. He probably priced himself out. That is why Beane made the move for Davis. We probably moved on at that point. The fact that his price was so low says nothing about Beane missing out. We probably gave him an offer he thought was low and he likely got less on the market.
  2. Haha lol no this here’s a one way street
  3. For the most part they let the corners play, just not against the Patriots.
  4. Maybe they just needed that tiny bit of cap for an LB signing. But yeah i kinda liked what he brought
  5. Weird timing but defintely expendable. Made a few nice plays rushing as a defensive tackle, which I think they will do with Lawson on passing downs.
  6. As long as it is not in the first 2 rounds I’m good.
  7. I believe that would be tampering.
  8. The Steelers are not using their first round pick on this guy. They may like him. They aren't taking him that high. They only have 5 draft picks. They don't have the luxury to draft another Landry Jones in the first. He's probably between 70-75th best prospect and people want him at 12.
  9. When I said corner, tackle, and center I meant Star, Davis, and Bodine. These are not camp bodies. They have players at other positions. The clear issues are quarterback and mike. The team that made the playoffs last year was not better than what we have now. Don't jump just yet.
  10. This team needs a quarterback and a Mike. We needed a defensive tackle, a corner, and a center as well and we got them. Yes there are other needs, but that's all depth. I don't give a crap if deonte Thompson goes to the cowboys or not. Quarterback of the offense and quarterback of the defense. Those things are not on this team yet and those two decisions will make or break this regime.
  11. This is a re-build on the fly. They are tearing it down while also keeping the team competitive with modest contracts and young players. The plan actually makes a ton of sense until you wind up making the playoffs by accident. Which was awesome and I wouldn't trade it for a higher pick. I just hope that Pegula stays patient. I think getting him that young blue chip quarterback is a great way to buy more patience.
  12. Another reason why the Giants should be willing to trade down. The Bills pick next year may be high.
  13. Fair enough. I think the top five Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Mayfield, Jackson all go in the first. Then I think people gobble up all of the positional talent in this draft and there is a long wait for White, Rudolph, Falk etc. I think the 6th guy goes in the third. I think if this team reaches on Rudolph, this franchise will be set back another 4-5 years. I pray they do not succumb to the pressure and reach on a quarterback again. Itś EJ Manuel and JP Losman all over again. Also Darnold going #1 when he is the 7th best prospect in the draft and Rudolph going 12 when he is a third rounder, maybe 65th best prospect overall are completely different types of reaches.
  14. Yes this. I could also see them using the extra capital to get more picks next year.
  15. Those guys were all major reaches except maybe Gabbert. He didn't make it but had top ten upside. Just like Manuel, et al, reaching on Rudolph is a terrible idea. These are not good examples for reaching on a non first round quarterback. You sacrifice too much talent for an inferior talent at quarterback. It would be a colossal mistake.
  16. Randall is moving to safety and they need a corner. I will say that this signing maybe makes they more likely to trade down from 4 because they have less needs. They need a defensive tackle and their is no value at 4. There is at 12 though
  17. I think Smith, but that Edmunds has some serious upside. Smith is the closest thing to Luke Kuechly though.
  18. Russell didn't make it because he was a lazy a hole who got really fat. He was not willing to put in the work. The better comparison is a guy like Kyle Boller, who had ridiculous talent, played on a bad team in college, and was inaccurate. Allen is more talented than Boller, but Boller essentially failed because he stayed inaccurate and had a million injuries. Either way, Allen clearly has a ton of talent and people are banking on his potential at the top of the draft. If Iḿ going down eventually at least I am taking a swing on the guy who is 6-5, 240, with ridiculous upside. I still take Darnold or Rosen first, but Allen is next for me.
  19. I am definitely willing to eat crow. I have before. I just hope all of the Rudolph lovers come back and admit they were wrong when his career goes the way of Bryce Petty and Landry Jones and see how ridiculously illogical they sounded here. If I am wrong, I will gladly admit my mistake. Somehow I feel the Rudolph lovers will not be willing to admit their mistake.
  20. pffft...doesn't this guy read our message boards...Allen sucks Rudolph at 12 blah blah. These pro personnel people know nothing!!!
  21. That seems like a lot for Cockrell...I guess this is their replacement for Breeland and the traded Worley?
  22. Sorry to tell you that he also getting pushed down because of his weak arm, lack of athleticism, poor footwork, and no experience under center as well as tiny hands. If anything, he is being pushed up. Around this time every year some crap prospect gets talked about as a guy who could sneak into the first round/early second. Not sure if it is teams trying to push better prospects down the board by getting others to reach on a quarterback. Heard it with Connor Cook, Ryan Nassib, Tyler Bray, Bryce Petty, Cardale Jones...even with Nate Peterman last year. This year that guy is Rudolph.
  23. They get pampered, and it has to be a really cool experience to see all of the facilities and things. They also lay some relationship groundwork for when they are free agents. Maybe Elway wants to borrow some cash from Rosen?
  24. I don't think he is good Kirby. He is slow and small and I think he really is the product of the Saints offense. He is at best a 4/5 imo. He did spend some time with the Panthers on their practice squad, so McBeane would be familiar.
