Bills re-sign LS Reid Ferguson - 3 year deal
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He definitely regressed. I don't think he is long for this roster. I hope he did not get complacent. I for one am not super happy with the defensive line coaching. The drop off for Waufle to Teerlink is massive. I'd like to see some more experience brought in there. -

I like Reid because I know nothing about him. Which is perfect for a long snapper. If you never hear his name, it means he is doing his job. -

That's some really open and honest stuff. Wow, he even kind of calls out Riley Reiff. I thought his comments on Dion Dawkins are actually on point though. I actually think Dawkins has been pretty solid. Watch other teams' left tackles...Dawkins is not a guard. -
Report: Bills working on extension for Jordan Phillips
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So according to pro football reference, Harrison played 38% of the defensive snaps. That is not almost no reps dude. Star, a starter and big FA acquisition played just 47% of the snaps. Defensive lineman here are rotational players. Harrison had ample opportunity and did nothing. Pencilling him in as some kind of impact player is a massive mistake. Signing a depth player like Jordan Phillips is not the answer. If DT is BPA, it will 100% be the pick. 3 tech is a huge need on this team. -

Harrison Phillips did next to nothing and Jordan is a nice rotational player. There is a glaring need at the 3 technique. There really isn't one on the roster. It's very likely we go DT in round one. The other option is to go after Sheldon Richardson or Grady Jarrett in free agency. -

I agree. Harry Phillips looked small and overmatched. There was no quick twitch. I think he's a backup but I hope he proves me wrong. Even if Phillips resigns this is still a huge need. -
Lock has some rawness to his game but he has a big arm. He's at least interesting. Trappaso's love of Mason Rudolph last year just made no sense to me. I just can't fathom how he had him as a better prospect than Mayfield, Darnold, Allen, Rosen, and Jackson. I mean that's just crazy.
-
I got you. I'm just saying the guy has no idea what he's doing. His takes have been ridiculously off, especially last season.
-
I gotta say Yolo...Trappaso is the worst...check out his mock draft from last year on January 3rd. It's not close. And remember, Mason Rudolph was his best QB in the draft. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2018-nfl-mock-draft-jets-land-sam-darnold-after-all-49ers-pick-saquon-barkley/

Bills fire OL Coach Juan Castillo

Hapless I think that was just crap audible by our young quarterback. He put himself in that position in my opinion. I think he is clearly changing the play, but he didn't account for Baker. All the lineman are supposed to block the gap to their left, and DiMarco is supposed to come from the other side on the split zone, chip 90 Charles Harris and check down into the flat. That guy is usually wide open. Allen should have simply ran the split zone left, Shady would have cut it back and it would have been a massive gash becuase there is no linebacker support there for the cut back. I put this one on our young quarterback. -
Bills fire WR Coach Terry Robiskie

Yep I don't think Palmer wants to leave his cushy situation. If Culley moves the recievers, the guy to get is Rob Chudzinski in my opinion. He'd be a good get to work with Josh Allen. -
This team is all about Josh Allen. He's the star. We don't need a guy like OBJ imo. It would be cool, but I don't think the front office wants that. They want guys who are going to run routes and they want Allen to work the ball to whoever is open. Adding a guy like Julio Jones etc actually hurts a young quarterback becuase he may feel he needs to force the ball there. Like with KB...once he was gone, Allen was much better and just read TE field rather than forcing things to the number one guy. It's an overrated concept in my opinion. Tyrell Williams many have mentioned, I don't love him but I'd be for it. Adam Humphries is a great fit. I LOVE Chris Conley, as I've mentioned a million times. He bring elite speed Andy explosiveness. He is big and is ready to break out. He got started with David Culley and he's an Andy Reid guy so their is a familiarity there. You bring in Golden Tate, Julio Jones, AJ Green, OBJ, whomever, all it does is put pressure on Josh Allen to force them the ball. Again, Allen is the star. He needs complimentary pieces. The EP system is all about complimentary routes. You need humble guys who are going to do their job. Sign Williams, or Conley, or Humphries...draft some guys at some point and continue to compliment your star quarterback.

Adam Gase, Todd Haley, Mike Shula, Mike Mularkey are E-P guys. Not saying they would come here to coach receivers, but anybody who has worked under them would be well versed in the system. Robiskie made sense last year because he was coming from Mularkey's system. Jeremy Bates and Mike McCoy have some EP experience as well. Jason Michael of the Cardinals could make some sense. Eric Studesville would be a great get as a run game coordinator type guy as well. -

I guess the way I look at it we wouldn't have Josh Allen becuase we used those two seconds to move up. Or I guess you could argue we wouldn't have Tremaine becuase we would have had to use that other first rounder. I'm not sure I would have given up a second for Paradis in a step back year. I certainly think we should spend the money on him now though. I agree that that upgrading the offensive line was not a priority last year. I think it is #1 this year. -
The Bucs are weird. They ran Lovie Smith out town. They make some strange moves. This sounds like another one. They should hire someone with some previous experience. They should just throw money at Arians.

Josh Allen named AFC offensive player of the week
MrEpsYtown replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First time since Drew Bledsoe in 2002...really tells you a lot about the last 16 years. Congrats Josh Allen! -
I think the Giants are going to definitely grab a guy in the top ten 100%. They took so much crap in media here passing on Darnold and such. They are Buffalo Bills EJ Manuel year...they are kind of forced. I think Jacksonville will go for a vet, I was thinking Teddy Bridgewater, but their cap is not in good shape.
-
It's super early, but I think Bosa-Allen-White could actually go top three. If Bosa and Allenare off the board, I could totally see the Jets grabbing White. That guy is the real deal. If the Giants and Jags go quarterback, we are going to get a good defensive player. Bosa White Allen Q. Williams Oliver D. Brown R. Gary J. Simmons C. Ferrell M. Sweat J. Polite Greedy Williams That's twelve defensive players I would totally take at 9 with zero hesitation over any "need" like tackle or receiver. My point is that someone is going to reach on Jonah Williams, and the hope is that two quarterbacks go. We are going to get a good player at 9.
