  1. I hear what you are saying, but if something better comes along you make moves. They are still in the business of winning games. Players don’t think sentimentally like that. It’s a business and they know it. Jordan Phillps and Shaq are gone and replaced. Spain would be gone if the price wasn’t right. Zay Jones got tossed like yesterday’s garbage. Players would be sad to see Milano replaced, but would be more fired up that their GM was aggressive and acquired an elite player like Kwon.
  2. I’ll say this, if he was playing, and as you noted, that’s a big if, he’s totally takling Deshaun Watson at the end of that playoff game. He’s just better. But he has been hurt. I’d rather have a somewhat risky, but elite player in Kwon, who I have to give up a pick for at 13 million than pay Milano 13 million.
  3. I hope he does as well. I like the idea of keeping homegrown guys.
  4. At least he’d be around passionate fans! That has to mean something to these guys!
  5. That is definitely true, but I would still take Kwon if the contracts are equal. If Milano comes in closer to 8-9 million, then I'd take him. Both great players, but if SF wants chump change for a guy like Alexander, I am good with it.
  6. That's the fun in it. My wife thinks I am nuts studying the draft and getting upset when guys are getting scooped up in this mock draft.
  7. I'd take him in a second. He had like 1200 yards last year and didn't even want to be there.
  8. I'm not sure what those numbers mean, but I do know Kwon has been injured the last couple of years and it seems to skew that score. All I can say is he's just better than Matt, and he is the best linebacker on this list, though it is close with Jaylon Smith. And I love Matt Milano, but Kwon is better. So if we are talking similar salaries, I'd rather pay Kwon.
  9. Spotrac has Matt Milano's at 13 million per. I'm taking Kwon. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/matt-milano-21905/market-value/
  10. I’d take Kwon Alexander off their hands in a heartbeat to play WILL. It would mean the end of Milano. But Kwon is awesome and has a nice connection with Leslie Frazier. And FYI, Kwon is a month younger than Matt Milano. I’d rather take Kwon’s contract than pay Matt 13 million per. No thanks on Dee Ford.
  11. It feels very Doug Whaley esque. But I do think it is possible. The spent all of free agency improving the defense, so I could see them spending the draft on offense.
  12. Well the definition of "high motor guy" has not changed. You've got your Wilikies and Tszuskas of the world. I was not on this board, but I thought Blaine Gabbert was going to be something truly special. I also really liked Joey Harrington back in the day. So we all have moments.
  13. Considering there may not be OTAs and rookie training camps and such. I think it is very possible. I think there will be a huge run on offensive tackles early, even some guards and centers and I think that will push skills guys down I think teams are going to go safe this year with more OL-DL guys. We saw a lot of tackles go last year and the offensive tackles in this draft are better imo. I also think that the running backs will got earlier than expected for the same reason, as a lot of those guys can plug and play and contribute year 1. I think the high risk-high reward guys may drop a bit.
  14. Hall's scouting report and style reads like a McDermott corner to a tee.
  15. My take on all this is that this is not a great draft. I hope Beane packages picks to move up and get better players. And I hope he drafts a punter in Mann. If ever there was a year to spend a pick on one, this seems to be the year.
  16. I would count him as a shot at some upside. If he doesn't appear to be anything close to his old self, I would not even want him as depth.
  17. Yep. Even Maurice Jones-Drew was Maurice Drew during draft time. He knew better.
  18. Tony Khan is spending way too much time with the guys in All Elite Wrestling. Pro wrestling locker rooms truly twist your mind and make you change your view on the world, because a pro wrestling locker room has standards that are very different than the rest of the world. Tony Khan cutting a promo. I'm surprised he didn't end with "if you smeeellllllllll what the Khan is cooking."
  19. Yep, 28 goin on 29.
  20. I guess I'm asking if you think Harrison can play some SAM?
  21. IMO it is only crowded if you count Duke, McKenzie, Foster as anything other than depth.
  22. You think he would beat out a guy like AJ Klein, or would it just be a depth thing?
  23. It is unfortunate but makes sense. That kind of morale kind of opposes family and process and all of the stuff.
