  1. False analogy, Texas chose not to winterize it's grid and also disconnected itself from the interstate grid. Everything that resulted from the polar vortex hitting Texas could have been prevented. But they chose to ignore federal winterization regulations and disconnected from the rest of the country who could have sent them power.
  2. Nobody said Dr. Seuss is bad. The Dr. Seuss foundation is going to stop selling a few of his less popular books that have racist depictions in them. Then they are going to re-release them with updated pictures to try to sell copies of titles that no one has bought in decades. But this is as good a reason as any get your panties in a bunch and declare war! Kill the liberals for burning books!
  3. JJ Abrams is rebooting a black Super Man. He's clearly an advanced CCP that can handle more than one task at a time. Get any Q drops lately?
  4. Sarcasm is an artform, and one of the principles of its effective use is that it actually comes across as sarcasm.
  5. Oh cool, you're just being a dick on purpose and don't actually believe what you're writing. Hope that makes you feel good about yourself!
  6. Talk about not possessing reading comprehension skills. Biden issues a statement quoting his wife on the importance of reading comprehension, and the right wing claims Biden is calling for burning Dr. Seuss books. Why don't you try to find that DC pizzeria and see if you can rescue the children.
  7. That's funny because the CCP bot that I had installed into my cerebral cortex has scheduled a Dr. Seuss book burning event into my Google Calendar for this Friday! See you at the book burning, comrade!
  8. Are you saying you don't want to play with Mr. Potato Head's spud?
  9. It's either the Jews, the Chinese CCP or Satan. Pick two and stick with it.
  10. The decision was made by the Dr. Seuss Foundation, who are the owners of the books. There's 45 Dr. Seuss books, now 39 are going to be for sale. The conservative backlash to this is almost as funny as as the conservative demands to bring back Mr. Potato(e) Head's penis so they can play with his spud... (Mr. Potato(e) Head never had a penis, dummies.) In an unrelated new story, Super Man is an alien from another planet, he isn't a white anglo saxon. But the conservative backlash to the idea that there is going to be a black Super Man is hilarious.
  11. Well thanks for the apology, I was going to have to cry myself to sleep 😂
  12. I know man, and for 6 years Bills fans kept talking about kicking over to right tackle.
  13. Sort of like conservatives searching for offended liberals so they have something to be offended about.
  14. Maybe we can kick Cordy Glenn over to RT in case Daryl Williams leaves?
  15. Curtis Samuel could replace Brown and McKenzie.
  16. Exactly, free agency will most likely address 2-3 needs, and the draft strategy will totally depend on FA. I wouldn't be shocked if we draft 2 IOL and a RT.
  17. Is he any relation to Tiny Tim?
  18. Absolutely! If you're going to do a Bills redraft and you end up with Andy Dalton as your franchise QB you are doing it wrong. You don't give up your 2005 1st round pick to move up for JP Losman, and Aaron Rodgers is the Bills QB for the last 16 years... Sheesh, what the hell is this guy thinking?
  19. I could tell about a number of my work initiatives aimed at increasing opportunities for black youth to be introduced to the real estate market and obtain real world job mentorship. But it was actually because of those initiatives that I learned the history of economic discrimination against black people for most of the 20th century. So I would answer your question by saying that I don't think most any of us an individuals are responsible for making direct reparations for the systematic economic attack on black people during slavery, Jim Crow and the 20th and 21st century. I do think the federal, state and local governments, as well as specific corporations who denied credit and the ability to build equity to black people for 100 years after slavery are responsible for making amends of some kind. For actual harm done. I don't pretend to be able to offer up all of the solutions. I think it is extremely telling that there has never been the public will to even study how much damage was caused until this year. And I think that gets at the origin of your question, that is, an underlying belief that if the country were to try to repair the damage, you and I as individuals without person culpability would be held guilty and punished for crimes we did not committ. I reject that notion. Our government, and the corporations who inflicted actual harm can attempt to repair the damage without you or I needing to be blamed or punished. I would go so far as to say the only reason "white guilt" exists is because the nation has refused to consider what might be entailed in repairing the damage. Is the attempt not a worthy goal in an of itself?
  20. I thought he played well against the Ravens and hoped he was going to play against KC. But yeah, he's definitely in consideration.
  21. I appreciate the post. I think we both agree that more needs to be done to make lasting amends, and that our country will be stronger if we are able to.
  22. The Senate made the apology bill non-binding and added this disclaimer: (2) DISCLAIMER- Nothing in this resolution-- (A) authorizes or supports any claim against the United States; or (B) serves as a settlement of any claim against the United States.
  23. Let me be clear. If companies can find people to work for free that should be their right! No one "deserves" a wage for their labor. Furthermore, if you actually work for a living you're probably poor and stupid, and you deserve nothing!
