Spluttering ninny should be your tag line.

Omg. I'm talking to a brick wall.

So there's no comprehensive deal if hormone and chlorinated beef isn't accepted? And just for the record - you're pro-hormones and chlorine in your food and anti-US / UK trade deal. Noted! ***** dummy
-
Your post only carries water if the trade deal never goes into place. To carry your analogy forward, the idea that the UK government is now the mujahedeen standing in resistance to America's victory in Iraq is laughable. They want the trade deal and military partnership. They're not about to hold up in Fallujah and fight to the last man to keep the imperial forces of US beef out of England. Dummy.

There is a very narrow path for liberals with TDS to walk here. Here's their rules of engagement. 1. All posts about Trump must include failure, ridicule or contempt. 2. Trump can never win at anything. 3. ABC - Always Be Campaigning (for the next election cycle). Here's my suggested highlight: UK makes deal with convicted felon, rapist.

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
Motorin' replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh I'm not blaming the offense for the Rams game. Nor do I think the issue of playing down to the opponents and losing games they shouldn't is exclusively an issue with the O. The Rams loss was squarely on the defense and special teams... And a head coaching error taking the TO prior to the last possession. The only game they were clearly outplayed jn (in games that mattered) last year was the Ravens game. And you have to admit, it took an all time lucky string of wins by the Chiefs to get to 15-1. They could have / should have lost many of those games... But that's kind of the point. They don't lose those kind of games and the Bills do. -
Trust me:

Should had never lost to the Texans or the Rams. We had the tie breaker over KC when we beat them. We find a way to beat Houston and LA and we're going into the final game of the season playing the starters against the Pats and a W means the #1 seed. -
So just the regular level of condescension and douchebaggery.

Sounds like you're the same condescending piece of sh!t or did you peek at your portfolio and decide to try to be an extra big a-hole?

Immunized. I got Covid for the first time a few months after my second "immunization." And you're still keen on defending the communist country that developed Covid 19 via gain of function in a level 2 facility.

Not surprised by the faux elitism. Hope you're not worried about selling the summer home on Lake Cuomo next to the Clooneys! Personally, I'm willing to recalibrate my spending over the next couple of years if it means a far more sustainable and ownable supply chain than the current system that is dependent on China. Communist China, the darling of Davos skiing socialists and Lake Cuomo summering, world government yearning, faux communists.

I'm sorry, if you don't know where that quote comes from and the context then you really have no idea what's happening in the world.

Not nearly the goal of the neo-liberal World Economic Forum, "you will own nothing and be happy."

Apple's moving iphone production to India. Google already moved pixel out of China. The exemptions were to ease the market and will be on the last few years of products made in China. The ball's in motion. It will be a three to five year transition before India mostly replaces China in our supply chain and manufacturing partner.
-
Other than the whole part of shifting our dependency on China for manufacturing to a partnership with India.

That's a fair point for sure. The last thing I want to see happen is for small business to get wiped out. Like mine did during the Covid lock downs. The market seems to have responded by coming back to levels just before the post-election bump. I'd like to see the roadmap to the India partnership and trade deals with non-Chinese partners in the Pacific hashed out over the next few months. Yes to more structure and calibrated moves, less chaos. My personal thoughts about the chaos is that Trump uses it as a negotiation tool. I completely understand why many oppose it. And I'm not saying it's the right approach. But I do think the jury is out as to whether or not the resulting trade deals over the next year, and the subsequent effect on the economy over the next five years will be a net-positive or negative. It could be great. There could be a disastrous recession. But the fact remains that we have been kicking the can down the road on the debt bubble for a very long time. And we've gotten to the point where the national debt doubles every 8 years. It's almost 37 Trillion now. It will be 74 Trillion in 8 years... 150 Trillion in 16 years... 300 Trillion in 24 years... 600 Trillion in 32 years and 1.2... what comes after Trillion? In 40 years??? The Obama/Bidenomics of the Democrat party is- debt doesn't matter. I don't know if comprehensive tariffs are the solution. But it's at least an attempt to solve the debt crisis rather than pretending like it doesn't exist.

Sure, when you start with the presupposition that everything about the Trump administration is incompetent and corrupt, then the analysis that the market will force them to stop with the incompetence before it does too much damage makes sense. But if you take a moment to look at the 30,000 ft view and avoid missing the forrest for the trees, there is a potential to A. Remove unfair protectionism that has been in place against US interests and in so doing creat MORE free and fair global trade. And B. (Which is more important) Recalibrate our manufacturing and supply chain in partnership with India in order to end our dependency on China. Both scenarios are a win. But I understand that it is impossible for many people to even consider that anything the Trump admin does could create a net positive. Everything must be interpreted in the most damning possible way in order to hopefully win the mid-terms.

A lot of truth here. I'll add that having a mid-season funk nearly every year while dropping games against inferior teams, causing the Bills to miss out on the 1 seed is something an elite QB like Josh Allen shouldn't be doing either. And losing out on the bye and having to play Wild Card weekend every year is another reason they haven't reached a Super Bowl... Regularly capturing the #1 seed needs to be the main focus of the regular season, which means learning to win the stupid mid-season games against teams like Jacksonville, no matter what and no excuses. -
Looks like China has started to cave, removed reciprocal tariffs from about 25% of US imports: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-05-02/china-s-stealth-exemptions-may-amount-to-a-quarter-of-us-imports The lug head Americans rooting for "the rest of the world" to crush US are having a bad week. But they don't know it. And they will keep hoping for America's ruin. Hope those German bonds your financial advisors moved your money into work out in the long run. I mean, it's not like it's a country pledging to fund a forever war against a nation it depends on for its energy...

Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Motorin' replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
I admit, he's the pick I'm most excited about in terms of upside. I think he's going to make Epenesa trade bait at some point this summer.- 172 replies
