  1. Somebody had to do it... Regulators, Mount Up!
  2. Everybody gets a rocket!
  3. BREAKING: In a surprise move, Bills Defensive Coordinator Leslie Fraser switches base defensive to a 4-4 lineup, rushing 4 down lineman and two LB's nearly every play. Bills D leads the league in both sacks and short crossing passes taken to the house...
  4. Makes sense. I'd probably lean towards Brown at swing tackle. And Bates can handle OT as well, imo. But yeah, McD usually skews towards trusting experience. So it wouldn't surprise me if Cody is #3 OT. I like Ike, and think he has more room for growth in his game. It might be a coin flip between him and Ford at G. Maybe it even hinges on Mongo, if they like him better at LG than RG. Idk.
  5. I think Ike is better in pass pro. Cody's a better run blocker. It's going to be interesting... My guess is Cody starts week 1, and keeps the job as long as he stays healthy and doesn't become a liability in pass protection.
  6. PSE estimates that the Bills provide 360M per year to the local economy, so they put figure out there and it's cited in Wawrow's article. The stadium's not being built downtown, so the question of economic impact to the surrounding area is moot. But Pegula has said he's open to public ownership of the stadium, and the San Fran and Minn deals are examples to look at. In both cases, if the yearly lease fees are held in high yield accounts, we're talking about recouping the entirely of the public dollars over the first 10-15 years. And doubling it over 30.
  7. Yeah, he will probably get signed to a team's 53. If he doesn't, the thought of a healthy Jon Brown late in the season being able to step in to a key role in case of an injury seems like a luxury.
  8. The biggest problem with Wawrow's article his random quote from a University of Chicago professor claiming stadiums never generate economic impact. The tax payers of WNY really need someone to dig deep on the structure of the San Fran and Minn deals. Both cities have long term lease deals in place that range from 25M per year to 8M +3% per year. Over a 30-50 year lease, if the bulk of that money is invested in high yield funds, the returns are significant.
  9. Dang, the dude is 6'6", 275lbs too.
  10. Behind the scenes view of Pitt writer coming to this conclusion:
  11. I'm mostly kidding. Buffalo just has a long history of trading guys with potential who move on to far exceed expectations... Keeping 7 DE's wold have been too much.
  12. And Daryl Johnson will go on to lead the Panthers in sacks for the next 10 years.
  13. I actually hope that exact play is something he has worked on. Some of his worst plays have resulted from blindly spinning to his left and then refusing to take a sack. I'm not hoping he stops trying to make those plays, but when he spins widely and doesn't see an out, please go down rather than run backwards 30 yards and risk fumbling.
  14. His arm is nice. But he looks really frail to be absorbing NFL hit. We shall see.
  15. I believe it was Levi Wallace and/ or Dean Marlowe that was cut and resigned.
  16. Taiwan's a 4.3 guy. But I think Haack has more hangtime than Bojo's line drives. So we don't need the elite speed as much... Idk, it's going to be interesting.
  17. I guess I didn't see much from Addison to inspire my confidence in him yesterday, while Jerry was impacting the qb quite a bit.
  18. On the back to back plays where he intentionally threw the ball in the dirt and then turtled and fell down to take a sack, I thought both plays were very Bradyesque. Better to live to fight another down than risk a catestrophic failure.
  19. And an injured Tommy Sweeney probably makes it back to the practice squad, along with Nate Becker.
  20. I think you're probably right, as far as McD's thinking goes. But I would counter with a question, isn't it a problem that Addison was the leader in sacks last year with just 5? And isn't the lack of production from the top DE's the reason you went out and got Groot, Boogie, Obada and have focused on developing AJ? It's a luxury issue in a sense. But only because we don't have 6 solid cb's to keep. I really wish Levi was cb 4. But we don't have someone better than him at cb 2. I think lack of cb depth is going to hurt more than lack of pass rush this year.
  21. I could see going 5 LB's and keeping Obada. Trying to get Dodson to the practice squad. If I'm being honest though, I really don't see the upside in keeping Addison over Obada. Does Addison really have much left in the tank?
  22. I am really liking Boogie. I kind of hope they don't make him try to lose 25 lbs. I feel like the d-line is a lot stouter with him setting at edge at 285 or whatever he's at now. He's like a Cam Jordan power rusher. And as you noted he has that 4.6 speed for a big man.
  23. Oh yeah, for sure. But it was like for years and years before Rex too. McD had to work his butt off to change a bunch of bad habits.
  24. I don't blame McD at all. I'd have to search to dig it up, but there were some in depth articles about how the Pats have a long standing practice of mining AFC East media for intel to gain comptative advantages. And how the Bills had been one of the worst teams in the league at giving away key information during media sessions.
