I think we are overthinking things. To be a consistent team you need the odd thing go in your favor. Some of it is stuff you can control like turnovers and penalties which we are not...and sometimes it's just a bounce here and there. We are also not getting good these. Same team. Capable of winning games...but 4x we have lost in close games. A bounce here or there. 1 less penalty. 1 less turnover. Maybe we win 2 or 3 of them. Can't overthink the why. We need to make some of our own luck.

Not sure Claypool is gonna make it as a steeler. Dumb penalty. Fumble. Music thing in practice. He is soon not tomlins style. We will take him.

If he had a run game he wouldn't need to improve as much on mental side. Imagine if on 3rd and 3 he could check to a run and feel good about us getting it. Instead he puts it all on him and makes some bad decisions.

We need to get bigger across the board. Skinny DEs with no burst reminds me of the kelsey and Denney days. Rousseau will be decent. AJ won't. Hughes is done and doesn't make enough plays. Need some beef out there.

The bigger call out is why the ***** you make the jet sweep essentially inactive when you make him inactive. We knew we needed to run and the jet sweep even if faked opens holes and has worked in redzone yet we eliminate by making him inactive. Dumb.

Yup. And it's same thing. No run game. As an aside we have scored at least 3 or 4 touchdowns on jet sweeps in redzone over last few years yet we make our jet sweep guy inactive for a game we need to run in.

I still say we have always been pretty bad in redzone other than Allen's threat to run. He's scored 25 RZ touchdowns for us and countless others because he left the pocket...yet we seem to have forgotten that.

8 plays 46 yards - FG 11 plays 49 yards - missed FG 11 plays 62 yards - downs In that weather in that environment against that team...it's impressive. Execution in red zone continues to be our Achilles. That comes down to not being able to run the ball... Why we didn't run Josh more I have no idea. But in general the team put together drives when needed. Just couldn't finish it.

I get what you are saying and hope you are right. This does feel like a team that will win the last 4 and go in hot...but I'm not sure about these bucs.

I don't care what seed or if it is us depending on someone else losing...just find a way in. Anyone who gets in has a chance at the superbowl this year as there is no dominant team. Just find a way.
