  1. These are free agents I think the Bills would go after in the open market. The Bills and their front office doesn't over spend on anyone (not even their own) and they seem to find players who have to prove something or if they don't they can go find another job. The Bills are also an organization that most players want to come play for. So here are my thoughts on some free agents we should be looking for and not the high priced guys that you would get into a bidding war with. My list is in no particular order. Jadeveon Clowney (DE) Sportrac has his value at 6.5M a year. We could sign him to a 1 year prove it deal like we did with Jordan Philips after we got him from Miami. Clowney would replace Murphy who would cost a little more then Murph but is 2 years younger and has a lot more talent he just needs a kick in the butt and with our Defensive Coaching staff they just might be able to do it. Ndamukong Suh (DT) Sportrac has his value at 6.8M a year. I would cut Jefferson and Butler and sign this guy for a couple years. I know he is at the end of his career but can you imagine Suh and Star in the middle of our D-line. Them two alone would clog up four O-linemen and leave our ends and LB's room to roam and make plays. If I did this I would also draft a big bodied DT for a space eater to learn how to maneuver and handle double teams in the NFL behind those two. Plus he would bring some attitude to our line which needs it. Solomon Thomas (DE) Sportrac has his value at 5.6M a year. This guy reminds me of Jerry Hughes coming over from Indy when we got him. A new environment might be good for this dude and he is young 25 years old. Affordable, and he was a round 1 # 3 overall pick in 17'. I just think he played at Stanford then drafted by SF....same area maybe a change of scenery might help him focus. I would also try to sign our own like D Williams and Flaciano for our O-line; and I would love to get Milano back but I don't see that happening.
  2. AZ didn't make the playoffs last year This goes to show that Beane had a price and did not want to overpay someone...he stood by his principles....I respect that
  3. They may even be the worst team in that division....Rams (way better)....Seahawks (better...even with their issues i am sure they are going to work it out)....SF (better...even with their QB situation all they need is a serviceable QB and on D they have one of those Bosa kids)...and then there is the Cards (a running QB = Lamar 2.0 but not as good and no passing game....they will never make it to the SB much less the Playoffs. I hope JJ WATT likes watching the playoffs on TV because all those other teams (BUF, GB, PITT, and maybe even the Titans) will all be in the show next year and he will not.
  4. I totally agree. I too was a die hard diretv guy just for the sunday ticket...but the customer service sucked and I hated paying extra for all the crap that came with it. Now I am a youtube TV guy. No cords and I get a lot of the channels that I watched on Directv and then some for less cost and no boxes or excess cords to deal with...and I can watch it anywhere. Plus, I find it more fun to watch the Bills games with a bunch of other Bills fans at the local Bills Backers bar. The Bills Mafia truely is an awesome group of people and I am proud to say i am a member.
  5. I think we need another TE in place of Kroft, and maybe Tremble will be it. Two great nick names School of Hard Know and the Aftershock as our TE's. I still believe in Knox..it takes a lot of receivers in the league about 3 years to come to life and Knox had a great second half of the season after dealing with COVID.
  6. Who has more confidence in him? I like to think i can trust the front office now to make the right decision unlike past regimes. Even the D-Line and O-Line hasn't been the best since they took over and it was a weakness and the O-line is very good now and you can't say they aren't trying everything they can with the D-line. We haven't even seen Fromm play in an NFL game yet. He was very good in college this is what some of the scouts said before last years draft: “I think he’s going to win a lot of games at that level. I think the league likes him a lot more than the media does. People talk themselves out of him because he doesn’t have the greatest physical tools in the world, but he’s just a dang good quarterback. He’s great from the neck up and he’s got the best eyes in this class. His arm strength is very underrated. He’s accurate. He’s tough. He’s won a ton of games. He’s durable. There’s so much to like. I think he could be a really good pro.” “Assuming his accuracy comes back—and there’s no reason to believe it won’t – Fromm should develop into a low-end NFL starter or high-end NFL backup, a guy who is between the 24th and 40th-best quarterback in the league for a long time.” – Thor Nystrom, Rotoworld “He's an intelligent game-manager whose range is good backup to middling starter, but he will be scheme and skill-position-needy at the next level.” – Lance Zierlein, NFL.com So I say we give Fromm a shot if we need him (hopefully we wont) He sounds to me like a Frank kind of back up.
  7. I voted to get rid of him. I liked what Barkley brought to the team but it is time to move on. He is a career backup and we have some young guys waiting for their turn. If we get stuck with Fromm QB ing for a couple weeks next year....that is why we need to establish the run game more so we know if we need to run the ball with one of these back ups in the game we can. The best player available in the draft where we are picking is going to be a running back. That is the position that usually falls in the draft.
  8. Yup and Kumerow can do the commercials...."So Easy a cave man can do it" I love that dude.
  9. I say keep him and wave bye-bye to Roberts and Brown. I always wanted to see McKenzie returns punts more often. I like Roberts but he doesn't have the joystick type moves most punt returners have. Yes Roberts runs with a full head of steam but it seems like he picks a gap and runs for it no matter what, and with his size it works on kickoff returns most of the time. But I think McKenzie has a better chance of breaking one often enough to keep him at a reasonable price. -One more thing i agree with Ticketssince61. He was under utilized. I remember the next man up philosophy. What happened to that when Brown went down. It seemed like he could have been in there for Brown more to stretch the field but I don't remember him doing that much.
  10. I agree we need a running game...and I don't think our backs we have on the roster will do anything even with a good O-Line. Where we are drafting in this draft I say get a running back. That is the only position we can attack where a quality player will be available in the upcoming draft that will help our O right away. Our O-line is good enough to run block we just don't run enough. They need to get in step with each other and we just don't run the ball enough for them to get in Sync. During the post season for a snap shot of our offense we threw the ball 68% (120 pass attempts) of the time and ran the ball 31% (55 carries). Even further (45% of our running plays were by the QB 25 carries). How many of those carries were pass plays that broke down I don't know. I think we need to mix it up a little more and when we call a run play give it to our backs. We need to draft a big back that can move the pile even if there is nothing there to get 2 yards.
  11. I think it is funny when the colts fans think they are going to win with a score of 19-13. The Bills have only scored 13 points or less this year (never) although they have scored under 13 points 5 times this year in the first half and ended averaging 20.2 PPG winning 3 out of 5. The two games we lost were the Titans and Chiefs which is the point in our season when our routine was disrupted. In those five games the offense still averaged 334.2 YPG; in the other 11 games the offense averaged 424.7 YPG and 36.3 PPG. The colts averaged 28.2 PPG for the season. Through the fist 8 games of the season the Bills averaged 24.75 PPG and the Colts averaged 26 PPG. Through the final 8 games the Bills averaged 37.8 PPG and the Colts averaged 30.4 PPG. The Colts have been pretty consistent all year while the Bills hit a mid season slump (weeks 5-8 were 4 of the five games the Bills did not score more then 13 points before the half) then turned it on big time. I feel this team, if it stays on schedule is unbeatable. My final score prediction is Colts 26 scoring a late meaningless TD like teams have been doing the last 5 weeks (i.e. SF,PITT, MIA, DEN, and the PATS couldn't score period) and the Bills will have this game won with 10 minutes left in the 4th Quarter putting up 37.
  12. HOF DT John Randle played at 287lbs....in order for Oliver to play like a beast he needs a bigger motor and mor3driv3 imo.
  13. If I were the GM in Buffalo I would be getting rid of Shady this off season and picking up this guy in the draft. A running back who started 3 years in college has the size to run up the middle and speed to finish with the ability to catch out of the backfield. He is a day 1 starter and a back you can get late second early 3rd.
  14. No way you fire McD at this point. I like what he is doing. We needed to shake things up a bit. Fire Dennison yes, he was a bad hire anyway. But not McD and Beane. I for one am tired of the status quo and that is all we are going to get without a legit QB and Taylor is not the answer. We had to see what Petterman had and I think he should start again next week as well. If you honestly think we are going to win with Taylor you are wrong. He is a glorified back up QB just like Fitz was coming in here. We need a franchise guy and if that means we suck for a few years so he can develop then we suck I am ready for it. But in our current state we are just this average. So I say lose out get a top 10 pick put some picks together if that is number 1 this year and next for our guy at QB then we do it. We need one of the elites at the position. If we do it now, we can let Brady enjoy his last couple of years then it would be our time to pounce.
