  1. true, but whatever health and safety rules would apply to the fans I would think will also apply to the team playing in the environs afforded to them by the County... right?
  2. In this house, all viewpoints are welcome. Kindness is everything.
  3. that’s a great question - I can’t really reconcile that in my mind.
  4. ohhh dang. By all accounts he was a really nice guy off the field too (from the Rams games that I’ve watched the past two years) - this definitely flies in the face of that. Although, I wonder what the whole story is.
  5. there WILL be, or the county SUPPORTS and HOPES for the idea?
  6. cmon, it was turning into an “I know you are but what am I?” shouting match
  7. Wait... what? 😂
  8. I won’t exactly weep for the multimillionaire athletes if it’s mandated, especially now that it’s going to be required for Joe Six-Pack to be allowed into the stadium. Also... crap... I just thought of something. Entry (especially for the hone opener) is going to be even more of a shitshow now with then having to scan the stupid Excelsior Pass in addition to the security checks and ticket scanning. F**k.
  9. that’s not exactly a simple ask though... especially the first part. Life isn’t one-size-fits all. People are right to be skeptical of the government, at all levels. That may have worked against us with the challenge of COVID, but...
  10. also, I’m reading the slides from the ECDOH briefing and it says “County SUPPORTS returning all fans to the stadium and arena for fall”. Was Poloncarz more definitive when he spoke? This wording makes it sounds like “oh, might happen, but it’s really up to the state”.
  11. at first I was confused, until I realized he meant the day after the home opener. Lol the restriction of “vaccinated only” likely wouldn’t be forever... I hope.
  12. is that number FULLY vaccinated? That’s not bad if so when you consider the sheer number of people. Erie County is at 50% of eligible residents have received at least one dose (assuming pretty much everyone will show up for their 2nd if it was Moderna or Pfizer).
  13. that is AWESOME news. It sucks for the people that won’t get vaccinated (I empathize with many of the concerns they’ve voiced), but we have to move forward.
  14. oh, Rashida.
  15. yep - lots of college frat bro and sorority girl types. Adds to the fun, IMO!
  16. classic case of punishing the outcome instead of the action.
  17. apparently it’s happened before with other police officers, too. Hard to fathom, but I’m not a cop...
