  1. Man those Bills/Jets color rush games must be nightmare for you.
  2. Very disappointed. I look forward to these but this is all you got? Josh is an imposter and Beasley is the "Covid Kid". This board can come up with better ones than that!
  3. OK. If you would of picked another "maybe a hold out" player instead of Brady I would of added it up. This whole Pittsburgh / Watt thing won't get resolved until he signs a contract. Watt can't be happy with playing for $10M this year. It's still a mess until that happens.
  4. I'm confused, confused I tell you. What does a fake Brady injury have to do with a contract dispute?
  5. Great evaluation. Thank you. I got a question for those who know better than myself. Pitts LB Depth Chart is as follows: LOLB - Watt (Backed up by Ingram) LILB - Bush RILB - Schobert (acquired from JAX this year and had a good career in CLE) ROLB - Highsmith (Backed up by Ingram) With Bush and Schobert they look strong in the middle. IF Watt does not play that gives them Highsmith and Ingram on the outside. That is a huge drop from Watt and Dupree. I wonder if Daboll can work the edges both running (like the OP said) and passing? Ingram is a great player and started out as an OLB in the Charger 3-4 but has been a RDE every since they went back to a 4-3. (I just checked and he has been playing RDE for the last 4 years). Does he still got the speed at his age for LOLB and is he going to play a bit out of position? Then again Watt could play and this is all moot.
  6. That is an option. You mentioned a Steeler fan and I got a "reasonable" one too. That is all he talks about is the options for moving on. He is a little pee'd off they keep holding on. Getting back to the main game week thread he is also the guy to clued me in on not only their OL being a question mark but the CBs too. He's not too confident the Steelers can keep up Sunday at all. If Ben isn't looking playoff worthy he will be the first to let me know! I think there is a decent chance they will let it go and tag him next year and wait to see what happens with the QB situation. If they go to rebuild mode they trade him and use the 1st to get a QB. They may be "fence sitting" on him.
  7. Pittsburgh's future post-Ben is pretty murky. I really wonder what their plans will be. Do they sell off and do a total rebuild or try to find a veteran? Without a BIG Ben revival year they no doubt move on from him.
  8. OK I get all of that but lets cool it a little bit with Big Ben and his early season greatness. He played the Giants, Broncos and Texans last year to start the season. He averaged 242 yards passing with 7 Passing TDs and 1 INT against teams with a combined season win total of 11. Josh Allen started the with Jets, Dolphins and Rams. He averaged 330 yards passing with 10 Passing TDs and 1 INT (plus 2 Rushing TDs) against teams with a combined season win total of 22. I'm just giving a little perspective to both QBs starts last year.
  9. Tyler "Dirty Red" Matakevich is the Lead Captain on Special Teams IMO.
  10. Really hope that Star is well enough to start Sunday. My hope is he lines up between RG Trai Turner and the rookie center and does his best to neutralize Turner. If he can do that he can let the rest of the DL handle the day.
  11. It's funny that Josh Allen brings that out with certain media personalities. Imagine if Allen hadn't signed an extension yet. What would the "national media" be saying? You heard a lot of talk about the other two after Josh signed and it's been pretty much crickets ever since. Going into a 1st round QBs 5th year option it's pretty much a given nowadays that an extension gets done before the first snap of the 5th year contract year. Are the Browns and Ravens wanting to see more before signing an extension? Does Baker and Lamar think they can be better off not signing and head to FA? Will those 2 teams need to go the "Franchise Tag" route with these QBs? I bet these kind of articles would be going on about Josh if he didn't sign yet. I love how a lot of the media still hates eating crow about Allen.
  12. Well the season is starting in 2 more days and I find it interesting that Mayfield and Jackson have not signed extensions. Will that make them PROgress or REgress?
  13. Tyrod has made $54M for 54 passing TDs. Good money if you can get the work!
  14. I agree with everyone that said that game! I was stationed at Homestead AFB south of Miami when that game broke "The Streak" and watched it on Miami TV. The Monday Miami Herald had the color version of that picture on the front page. The headline read "It's Over". I am so pissed I lost that newspaper after a number of years.
  15. Of course the game will tell what will happen with their new OL. Their Center LG and LT have 4 NFL starts under their belts. Imagine this board if the Bills were going into the season like that! In comparison the Bills 3 at those positions have 171 NFL starts plus they been playing together. Interesting note on Turner (their 1st year playing for them Pro Bowl Guard) at RG played for Carolina while McDermott, Star, Addison, Butler and DL Coach Washington all were there so one would assume they got some tendencies on him. If the Bills new DL can't take advantage of this situation Sunday at home I will not know what to think.
  16. It seems to me from what I seen during camp and the GB game is that Allen has worked on his hot reads and getting the ball out of his hands quickly if needed. Teams wanting to blitz him may find this quite unnerving. Also seemed to work on the swing pass and screens. If he improves on these aspects he will be a DC headache. He also seems to have learned to throw the ball down at the feet of a RB/TE if the OL fails badly thus avoiding those "sugar high" plays. Seems like a lot of the things he needed to work on got worked on this offseason. I guess I'm one of the few who thinks his passes per game will increase.
  17. Well if the Pittsburgh official depth chart is correct their starting OL is as follows: https://www.steelers.com/team/depth-chart/ LT Dan Moore - Rookie 4th Round Pick LG Kevin Dotson - 1 Year Pro (4 Games Started for PIT 2020) C Kendrick Green - Rookie 3rd Round Pick RG Trai Turner - 7 Year Pro (6 years with Panthers 5 time Probowl, 1st year with PIT, played for LAC last year) RT Chukwuma Okorafor - 3 Year Pro all with PIT 30 Game Starter FWIW @Stank_Nasty
  18. I will be a TT fan on October 10th when they play the Pats*.
  19. So we're sort of on the "Watt Watch" again. Excellent.
  20. This thread made me get off mu a$$ and order a ROUSSEAU jersey nameplate to replace the name on my drunken purchase at the stadium back a number of years ago! Go Greg! Go Bills!
  21. Along with whoever their dime CB will be covering. I'm loving how Allen is perfecting the quick pass when needed. That will lessen their pass rush ability.
  22. That really was LT during the 80's. He was the "poster child" for the 3-4 OLB role which was extremely popular in that era. LT was instrumental in making NY Giants football relevant again after decades of mediocrity. Perfected the strip sack before the NFL kept "forced fumble" stats. I HATED HIM SO MUCH. LOL.
  23. Opening game of the season is here! I am excited to say the least. I want to see how Allen and the Bills WRs fare against a weakened Steeler secondary. I think it's the key to the game. Will not be surprised to see 4 and 5 WR sets. I can't see Pittsburgh having the personnel to stop that. Go Bills!
