Not sure if this is a new revelation for him or if he’s had these feelings for awhile now but I think COVID is partially to blame for what many people are going through mentally right now. Could be football, could be the fact that we’ve all been locked inside for a year now and it doesn’t help that we’re going through a brutal winter right now on top of that. I’m a very introverted kind of guy. I don’t need an entourage of 10 different people to follow me around wherever I go, I like being by myself, but gosh darn I do need some human contact. Cant just say this is just football or CTE or depression, I think many normal everyday people are struggling right now, just the way it is.

They have the best team in the NFL. Sure, Mahomes may very well be the future GOAT, but gosh darn that team is loaded. They can run, they can pass, their defense is loaded. Their coaching is so good that they squeeze every last drop of potential out of mid round, late round and even undrafted players. Very good everything.

Anything past the 2nd round falls apart quickly but that’s true for any mock site. RDs 1-2 though generally speaking should give you a feel for the first two rounds.. CBS Sports is also very decent but I think Walter is better. I just try n get a feel for the big board so I can watch highlights and look at stats.

Gives you a feel as to where players will go, what range, what round etc. From there I kind of see what guys may be there when we pick and then I can look at highlights and stats etc. They’re not great at scouting players but once again, in their mocks they’ll at least get you in the ballpark as far as where X player will go, which is helpful..

I want Boogie Basham, plan A. Zaven Collins, plan B.

Walter is good. CBS Sports is good.

It would never happen.. it’d take so many picks over the next 5 drafts that any team trading for him would be barren for the next decade.. There’d be no plausible way for that team to draft or rebuild in any way..

Boogie Basham or Zaven Collins would be great fits for this defense.. I’d take either at 30.

Well.. DE isn’t usually a position in which a player dominates in right away. As far as my opinion on Epenesa goes, I think he’s stronger and more athletic than people think. Too early to say he’s a wasted asset when players like Ford, Oliver and Edmunds get pass after pass.

Could be, but regardless of whether Epenesa pans out or not we need a star DE. For now he is making next to nothing. Revisit this in 3 years.

I want Kansas City to lose. They’re our #1 enemy. Typically teams that lose in the Super Bowl don’t make it back the next year.

I want Boogie Basham with that first pick. If the draft were today and there was one player that I’d wish would slide to us it’d be Basham. Elite athletic skills, lengthy DE with size and power. I think he’ll be an elite DE in the NFL. May go 5-10 picks before us though.

I want JJ Watt. I think he’ll be cut. Wouldn’t pay him top money by any means, but if he’s serious about a Super Bowl and wants to go to a contender, Buffalo is a nice landing spot for him. We have no pass rush and if Watt has a rebound season it could potentially put our defense over the top.

I mean, it’s still so so early. My mind will change many times between now and the draft. Carlos Basham lined up opposite of AJ Epenesa would give us some semblance of a pass rush.. I think an elite DE or a potentially elite DE in this case could put our defense over the top.

Can you blame him? Hopkins gets traded, they have no draft picks and then they sign Culley as their HC. Ouch..

It’s not like we have 20 All Pros. Diggs and Allen are probably our only elite players.

My opinion on RBs haven’t changed.. never take one in the first round.. Hopefully there is a DE or TE there or we move down and save up picks.

Sign Feliciano and Williams, dump as much cap as possible. Extend Josh, restructure Diggs, remain idle during free agency, draft well.

How does that work in goal line situations though? Being good between the hashes is important but when you are in the 20 and the other team knows you’re going to run the football you still need to be able to get the job done. I’d rather have 6-7 massive run blockers that can straight up overpower the other team into submission. Extra linemen, FB, two or three TEs that are skilled run blockers makes all the difference. Once again, with success in the run game, the other team still has to account for the play action. What do you take away if you’re them? Now we have multiple soft targets to attack.

An extra second or third would go a long way for this team. I’m in favor of trading down. Time to start stockpiling picks for 2021 & 2022. Allen and Diggs are elite, both will be paid. We are missing an elite player on defense, preferably at DE but I think now is a good time to start identifying who will be paid, who we will build around and who we’ll let walk. Unfortunately, many will walk. Time to start drafting good players who will play on cheap rookie contracts. If an elite DE or TE prospect is available at 30, take him. Otherwise move down and start accumulating picks.

No. How can you expect to have a power run game with no FB and you’re constantly in 3-4 WR sets? I think Daboll needs to add some heavier sets to his repertoire. To do that, we need better TEs. Knox is a good #2, Buffalo needs a true #1 TE to make our offense more versatile. If you can pass effectively in heavier sets, how much easier would it be to run the football?

I think Buffalo could use another quality TE. One that can catch and block. More twin TE sets, easier to run, better personnel for run blocking with the option to pass and run the play action. Could use an elite FB. Losing Dimarco did seem to hurt the team in terms of running the football. Buffalo runs a lot of 3-4 WR sets which is not conducive to running the football. Need to start running heavier sets.
