It’s tough to say. Some players are willing to bet on themselves but others are willing to take less money in case they get injured or have a bad season. He may never have the chance to make $44M ever again. One ACL tear and he will be making $5M/year on one year deals for the rest of his career. I’d take the money if it was me.

Josh Palmer > Mack Hollins Plus, I don’t think we’re done at WR yet.

He has one year left on his deal, he is set to make $5M this season. I think Buffalo should add three years onto his existing deal and add $39M in new money. So he would be somewhere in the 4 year $44M (or $11M/year) territory. He would make less than he would on the open market but a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Stefon Diggs bet on himself, how did that work out? $44M is life changing money.

I think there should be relatively deep depth at DE/DT throughout RDs 1-2.

This is a great year for DL in the draft..

$12M/year does seem like a lot of money but keep in mind that the top guys are getting $35M/year plus. It is reasonable to assume that his production will improve with Josh but only time will tell..

Safety and WR in FA.. DE and DT in the draft..

Even Ray Lewis struggled without Moose Siragusa in front of him. Our problem is that we have an undersized DL and it’s allowing our LBs to get eaten up. If Buffalo adds two fat 330-360lbs NTs who can hold their own and eat up blockers, Bernard will start making Pro Bowls, the kids a playmaker. As far as the contracts go, I think Beane is going after the low hanging fruit first. We’ll see what happens..

Bosa as a pass rushing specialist would be an ideal role for him at this point in his career.. Maybe he’s not suited as a three down player but may be useful in situational football. 1 year $8M?

He’s getting $10M/year. I don’t see how anyone can complain about this.. Add a couple hogs in front of him and he’ll be fine..

Riley Leonard can run the ball similarly to the way Josh does.. Similar build, similar running style, good enough arm. 906 rushing yards and 17 TDs on the ground last year with Notre Dame..

I like Riley Leonard or Will Howard in RD4. It would be nice to have a legitimate option behind Josh that we can develop at a cost controlled price. Who knows? Maybe we strike gold and trade him for picks later down the road.

I think it’s possible that Beane goes the no true #1 WR route. We may add yet another Robin but no true Batman.

I believe that Rousseau will get anywhere from $16M to $18M a year.. I do not believe that he will get anywhere close to $23M/year as some folks are suggesting..
