  1. Ah yeah, right. I forgot that rookies can’t get injured per new NFL bylaws. I think most people would take Coleman + MVS and Samuels over Coleman + two day 2-3 draft picks.
  2. It’s not really quite that simple. NFL WR run a bunch of choice or option routes, where a WR may be asked to run a flag route if the defense is in a cover 2, unless the CB I playing outside leverage. TheWR and the QB may interpret the same information differently. This is wher experience and multiple reps become important. im not sure why, but JA and Davis had a bunch of misreads last year. One let directly to OT loss at Eagles last year.
  3. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2024/08/12/ben-dinucci-buffalo-bills-sign-quarterback-hats-streetwear-true-brvnd-business/74772803007/ XFL vet. Maybe has some pointers on kickoff strategies.
  4. Nah, I was thinking Deon Sanders. BTW, Nebraska scored 84 on U Minnesota? Yikes!
  5. Levy is the winningest coach in Bills history, and is in the NFL hall of fame. Dickerson was a jacka$$ and a clown. I used to listen to him on wgr on my drive home. He wanted “strong opinions, strongly held”. Never admit you’re wrong, never back down. Although he had a good deal of football knowledge, and could be a good teacher, his character flaws and thirst for vengeance made him his own worst enemy. A bit like another popular figure.
  6. Not sure that id be washing out Bishops season quite yet. I'm no expert on scapula fractures, and I dont know what portion of his scapula was fractured, but the observation that hes not even in a sling tells me its a non-displaced fracture. And 'm guessing that it will be almost healed by 6 weeks. Its not like a turf toe, or hamstring, or high ankle which might nag the entire season. I'm thinking hes good to go by game 1 or 2 . Lots of time to get into game shape. Its not a lost season.
  7. Is that the old Trico plant in the background ?
  8. Butler, Bill O Brien, and McDermott all went to La Salle high school in Philly suburbs. Butler was DB coach and then promoted to DC when OBrien was at PSU. Butler was widely disliked by players as he wouldn’t take responsibility for any errors and laid all errors at the players feet. Good riddance.
  9. Dude. Coot De Ivoire is a stripper, not a country.
  10. 3 drops in 4 throws for a player who had a 2.2% drop rate last year is a cause for concern. Not sure what’s changed, or whether it’s an “off night”, but it’s not something to blow off as irrelevant. it’s something to track and pay attention to.
  11. McGovern started all 13 games as center at PSU his sophomore year. Their OC refused to run plays from under center, so all he did was shotgun snap. I don’t recall any problems with his shotgun snaps. Althouh he only played a couple games at center for Dallas, I’m not worried about him relearning shotgun and under center snaps.
  12. PSU has a very good weight training program. He did 15 reps on bench press, broad jump of 10.9, and vertical of 42.5. These aren’t going to improve much. Hardy’s problem is size, and he’s not goin to grow. May gain 5-10 lbs, but won’t get taller. He’s very sticky in coverage. Reminds me of nickel Robey, but stronger. I’ll be surprised if he’s cut.
  13. I’m saying LB depth was a problem last year. If we’re playing Rapp and Hamlin, that’s a problem. If I’m Beane, I’m looking for safety help as priority 1.
  14. LB was a huge problem at the end of last season.
  15. I saw him play back in the mi 1960s. He wasn’t a running QB. Never ever ran an option or QB power. He was a classic dropback QB and an OK scrambler. He didn’t have a strong arm and was an ok passer. He was a good leader and his teammates seemed to respond to him. Best comp would be Kirk cousins, but without cousins accuracy.
  16. I don’t think Cam Lewis qualifies as a surprise cut.
  17. Call me crazy, but I’d rather have a QB who was judged to be good enough to be the #2overall pick 6 yrs ago rather than take a flyer on some kid from Tulsa.
  18. Umm… Not sure how you know, but… Blood doesn’t flow out of the leg via an artery. Blood flows out of any extremity via a vein, not artery.
  19. Not an unpopular opinion.
  20. This is the reason that participation in OTA is important. Given the number of choice routes and decisions, this is why all receivers need to know how their QB thinks. And why A Rogers was a selfish prick for skipping minicamp. Not that I mind.
  21. Depends whose voting. if it’s player, I thinkTaron Johnson makes it. If the press, nope.
  22. This is including TE? So, basically, your'e saying that, by yardage, Bills will have a bottom 5 pass group. Ima taking that bet any day of the year.
  23. This was discussed a while back. Bonus Money is taxed based on the state where you team is located. NY for Bills. But salary is taxed by the state in which the game is played. The interesting twist here is that we hear about players converting salary to bonus, and it’s a wash. Not quite. This could lead a Bills player to receding more of his income in a high tax state, and a lower % in low tax (TX, FL) states.
  24. I used Wikipedia as a link rather than CNN or other "biased" source. 1) Manafort and Russia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trials_of_Paul_Manafort 2) Don Jr and Russia meeting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump_Tower_meeting 3) Why did Trump pardon Flynn? Did it have anything to do with Russia? Hmm.... https://apnews.com/article/donald-trump-pardon-michael-flynn-russia-aeef585b08ba6f2c763c8c37bfd678ed
  25. 1) Ahh, youre right. Not to voluntarily relinquish office. Hope thats better. 2) I agree that Biden is also unfit for office. Due to age and cognitive decline. Not because he's a compulsive liar, cheat, or con man though. 3) Listen to Don Jr? I'd rather re-watch the PSU-Iowa 6-4 barnburner.
