  1. I was at that game. Jalen Carter didn’t make a great play. It was a bad kick, very very low. I don’t think,it would have been good even if not blocked.
  2. Bad call but I’ll take it
  3. Phillips ran himself right out of that stop. SMH
  4. Why wasn’t that an injury TO?
  5. Gotta keep kelce out of the game. He’s their only dependable weapon. Use LB and slot corner.
  6. How was that not an int?
  7. Gotcha. you think missing 3-4 of your top defenders is no big deal; I think it is a challenge. Not an insurmountable challenge, but not trivial either.
  8. Well, except that our 3 best defensive players have been out since October, and a 4 th is recovering from an ACL, and might not play the rest of the year due to domestic issues. But other than that, yup, pretty healthy.
  9. Just my opinion, but I don’t like the idea of a WR in the top half of round 1. It will take a lot of draft capital to move from 32 up to 15.
  10. Pretty sure that was mentioned in the in game thread. A little bit off topic, but did anyone notice Kelsey going downfield on the Hail Mary? He was jogging like some old dude at a Y basketball pickup game. Is he hurt? Or some mind game to draw penalties?
  11. Not a long time Bills fan, eh?
  12. Yup. Dropping balls, running wrong routes, running bad routes. Got a feeling that they get this cleaned up this week.
  13. Headline at The Athletic this morning said Von Miller released. Misleading though. I think they meant released from polic custody.
  14. Unfortunately, I agree with that. The DPI on the play to the guy with the hyphenated name was a bad miss. But so was the bogus roughness call at the 1st down marker. However, the non call on the Hail Mary was routine. I have no clue why the broadcast made such a big deal of that play. Identical jostling takes place every week of the year on Hail Marys and it’s never called. Unfotunately, I think the broadcast booth did that so folks would think “KC is owed a makeup call” when the inevitable bs call(s) go KC way this wknd.
  15. And Coollinsworth is an idiot. Except for pats bills in 1990s , dpi is never called on a Hail Mary.
  16. If you’re going backwards out of bound clock continues to move. bad bad officiating
  17. Now a make up call.
  18. Mahomes had a chance to slide. Officials are getting worse
  19. Such total bs
  20. This is exactly true. The way to correct this officiating is obvious. For reasons that arent clear to me, the NFL refuses to fix this. 1) Make NFL officials full time employees. Would anyone here want a heart surgeon who operated only on weekends, and was an insurance salesman on weekdays? This is just common sense. Practice may not make perfect, but it certainly makes better. 2) Money talks. Pay them more. Attract the best candidates. Start them at $250K/yr, escalating quickly to $500K. Lets see--8 officials per crew, 16 total crews, 128 officials. Times $400K per official. Or $50 million/year total. Divided by 32 teams = $1.6 million per team. Less than 0.7 % of the salary cap. Less than a backup WR. Would anyone here object to cutting Trent Sherfield if it meant you had high quality officials? 3) Make the officials accountable. Score them on the quality of their officiating each week. The bottom 10% at the end of the year are let go. At $250K/year, you'd have lots of high quality college officials knocking on your door.
  21. Actually, Texas law states assault on a pregnant person, not girlfriend. Gotta be correct with your pronouns these days.... I'm joking , but if what is alleged in the 911 call is true, he's as bad as Tyreek, and should be put away.
  22. Obviously this is a bad look. But we really should wait for more facts to come out. Was the assault a physical or verbal assault? What triggered the assault?
  23. Agree with the lack of next level prep and Allen as leader. Allen is one of, if not the most talented QB of this century. But the team has to want to be champions, and put in the off-season work. I don’t think they’re doing so. I get that organized team activities are optional, but these guys are making millions of $ per year. It wouldn’t be so hard to put in a bit more work. it’s been said that you need to put in 10000 hours to be expert at an activity, whether it’s playing the cello, shooting free throws, or learning the intricacies of option routes. I don’t see as many miscommunications with other teams. I don’t think Bills are putting in the time.
