Beane's Draft Picks: Is Allen His Only Success?
jkeerie replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's why I was surprised. Perhaps I misunderstood his comment or he misspoke. This doesn't sound like something this coaching staff would do. He commented on how Philips did well against the run, so I rather think the rationale was to beef up the line to stop Henry with him and Obada based on what they've seen of AJ and Boogie versus the run to date. -
Keenum did fine in Minn. with a strong supporting cast. Browns will still be competitive even with all the injuries. Having said that, Go Broncos!

The number 1 seed is important for the bye but, if the Bills are good enough to not only get to but win a SB, they should be able to do it from anywhere. We beat KC in KC. We lost to TEN in TEN but were one yard away from winning that game and were hurt by self-inflicted wounds. After the bye, I want to see the Bills come out swinging with a stout D and better Red Zone production. If we see that, we will be on the winning side the rest of the way.

I thought the same thing. That's why I found the answer quite puzzling. -
Beane's Draft Picks: Is Allen His Only Success?

After the game on Monday night McD was asked why AJ and Boogie were healthy scratches and I thought I heard McD say "We wanted to get a look at some other guys." This leads me to believe they are looking to trade some of our d line depth. -
Why the questions only centered on the offense, I don't know. Perhaps it was because asking specific questions about the red zone and the last play was easier than asking why the defense could not stop the run or the pass.

Bills number 1 in espn power rankings...wait what?
jkeerie replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
The media notes that the Bills dominated 4 of the teams they played on both sides of the ball. The Ravens wins prior to this weekend were all close games even against teams (aka Detroit) that aren't very good. The rankings are also teams relative to each other. So they don't just go by wins and losses. It's how did they win and how did they lose. -
I think the questions focused on the offense and the red zone so that's why McD talked about that. He makes reference to the D around the 7:30 mark, saying that they weren't getting off blocks well. He also said the D contained things well in the first quarter but not afterward.

Bills number 1 in espn power rankings...wait what?

The Bills lost but they lost to a good team on the road. Derrick Henry is running all over every defense so running over the Bills was no surprise. The fans in this forum are castigating the Bills for the loss. The national media saw a close, well played contest on both sides with the Bills falling one yard short of potentially winning. Had they been blown out like the Chargers, the ranking would likely have fallen considerably. -
Defence was dominated and Frazier needs to be more aggressive

They didn't have AJ or Julio in many of those games. Tannehill was holding the ball longer looking for open receivers. -
The one thing I like about this coaching staff is that in evaluating game film and critiquing players, they will also critique the coaching and game plans and roster decisions. It will also not surprise me if they make some changes with the trade deadline looming.

They didn't play their best offensively and defensively. The ball didn't bounce their way and the Titans were the luckier team. They lost by 3 on the road in a high scoring game. The Bills aren't making any excuses. They know they didn't execute and will have two weeks to think about it. Like last year, I expect them to come back stronger, especially the defense. They gave up the hail mary last year before the bye and 34 points this year before the bye. So the Bills will finish strong and hopefully the Titans fate will mirror that of AZ and their trajectory will head downward.

Get yourself a Chromecast. Inexpensive and you can then cast your phone screen or computer screen to your TV. I did that to watch the replay of the Bills at KC game recently. Went to the Timekills website for the replay and sent it to my TV.

SNF: Seahawks at Steelers if anyone wants to talk about it

Did anyone else think it looked like Geno was going to take a knee? -
I wasn't making a big deal out of it. I was just surprised with a big game tomorrow. Obviously, it is fine with McD and likely was a sort of team "thank you" to the fans.

How is Geno Smith still in the league? -
Don't teams have rules about being out the night before games (especially with covid being a concern)?

I'm thinking the same thing.

A weather delay would be more exciting.

Dallas is soft. They got hyped for playing great offense and defense. Not so much.

Mac Jones looks like the kid that just got his lunch money stolen when he comes to the sideline.

The guy calling the Browns game sounds a lot like Beth Mowins when he raises his voice.
