  1. He was never high in the draft because he played on a team that had two great WRs. Unfortunately, his lack of pass catching and play making is evident in his inconsistency.
  2. You know, I told myself when the season started not to have any expectations. The record isn't important. I just want to see growth and improvement over last year, and for the Bills to be competitive. The record took me away from that, and suddenly I had "great expectations. " So if I go back to my original plan for the season, there has been growth and for the most part the Bills have been competitive. Where they've fallen short has been coaching and the kicking game. This makes games frustrating to watch, even if I have no expectations.
  3. Love this nugget of wisdom! Thank you.
  4. What about Mims from Baylor?
  5. I would love to have Najee Harris on the Bills!
  6. I like what the announcer said. "Tanking of Tua" has become "Bombing for Burrow."
  7. I actually thought the committee ranking Penn State in the top 4 was too high.
  8. Oh, those LSU special teams. Actually they're usually pretty good.
  9. I didn't realize, since you don't see much of Minnesota on TV. Now watching TCU and Baylor in overtime.
  10. Should have been PI on that last Penn State play, but Minnesota outplayed PSU. Dang PSU corners again. Hey, what about Antoine Winfield's kid?
  11. Actually...Mike Florio floated today that all this London info is being put out by the Rams (via Ram reporters). They don't want the Chargers to succeed in LA...after all, that is their market. They are competing with the fans for PSLs. No better way to win over the fan base than to discredit the Chargers as only being a "short-term" LA team.
  12. I don't think parity leads to mediocrity. I think it should lead to more competitive football. I think your latter point has merit...with the concessions to NFLPA. There have been injuries this year that have really set some teams back. Is that because of the limited contact in training camps and practice? The officiating has had an impact. Calls have cost teams games. Teams that looked good last year and in the recent past are struggling this year with pretty much the same rosters.
  13. Thank you for saying this. There are very few good teams this year. Mediocrity is rampant. No one has played a tough schedule. So no one should criticize anyone for playing a weak schedule.
  14. From your mouth to God's ear.
  15. Excellent, Rational post! One of the best I've read!
  16. Apparently, he had problems staying healthy early in the season.
  17. Always a pleasure to read your take on the game, Pete. The word "unsatisfying" hit the nail on the head...yet we won by 15 points, 5 points better than the spread. Has the minimum acceptable standard for Bills fans become perfection?
  18. Great article as always, Pete! Love how you built on the theme of the winds of change, etc. Excellent writing!
  19. It is not customary for women to remove hats as a show of respect when the hat is worn as a fashion statement. A baseball cap is not, and should be removed by both men and women for the national anthem. Play ball.
  20. I was hoping as well. It takes two teams. Most of the chatter we've heard over the past weeks has been generated by commentators and reporters. It has had little basis in fact. That was borne out today.
  21. I think Beane is doing plenty of research. Likely the asking price of those who actually are on the trade block (not those the fans and media think should be) is too high. Frazier in his presser yesterday said with respect to the run defense that he thinks we have the personnel to get it fixed. That leads me to believe it's a scheme thing perhaps?
  22. I said "relatively little talent" not no talent. Granted they traded an oft injured Sammy Watkins and Ron Darby. They did not have a QB. Beane surmised that with their cap issues they would be able to resign either, so he traded them for picks that would enable them to trade for their future QB. Although we could use WR help, I don't think either one of those players would have made a huge difference.
  23. Lived in Erie for 28 years. Mostly Steeler country. They're technically in Bills market, so they resent TV rules for games.
