  1. Seems to be unreal for our coaching staff.
  2. If you have to trade up to get the players you really want, then so be it. We needed a QB, they liked Josh...trade was necessary. We needed a MLB, they liked Edmunds...the trade was necessary, etc. Word was NE wanted Knox and were ready to take him in the 4th, but the Bills jumped to the bottom of the 3rd to grab him. Fans can question the players we took...but all of this now is in hindsight and it's too early to label anyone a bust.
  3. This is really well done. Thank you for the analysis. Besides kicking, I really think the coaching/coordinators are holding the team back. How does yesterday's game and the Philly game compare with the over all numbers? Neither of those games seemed to have balanced attacks offensively. The passing game appeared to take precedence. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason in Daboll's playcalling. The argument is that Daboll is looking for matchups. How about our running game versus the 30th ranked running defense? Where was that?
  4. I agree with so many of your points, particularly the one about Daboll. His game plans from week to week are mind boggling. Last week we ran Singletary because we played against the 28th ranked run defense. Today we played against the 30th ranked run defense, and Singletary gets 8 carries.????????? I also am not satisfied with our DC. When the Bills blitz, it's generally successful, yet blitzing is a rarity. Can someone explain why we have to wait until half time to make adjustments in our run defense? Can't these be made earlier, on the sideline? Seriously, I'd like to know how adjustments work.
  5. Sounds like a plan.
  6. Sort of like Daboll.
  7. He was never high in the draft because he played on a team that had two great WRs. Unfortunately, his lack of pass catching and play making is evident in his inconsistency.
  8. You know, I told myself when the season started not to have any expectations. The record isn't important. I just want to see growth and improvement over last year, and for the Bills to be competitive. The record took me away from that, and suddenly I had "great expectations. " So if I go back to my original plan for the season, there has been growth and for the most part the Bills have been competitive. Where they've fallen short has been coaching and the kicking game. This makes games frustrating to watch, even if I have no expectations.
  9. Love this nugget of wisdom! Thank you.
  10. What about Mims from Baylor?
  11. I would love to have Najee Harris on the Bills!
  12. I like what the announcer said. "Tanking of Tua" has become "Bombing for Burrow."
  13. I actually thought the committee ranking Penn State in the top 4 was too high.
  14. Oh, those LSU special teams. Actually they're usually pretty good.
  15. I didn't realize, since you don't see much of Minnesota on TV. Now watching TCU and Baylor in overtime.
  16. Should have been PI on that last Penn State play, but Minnesota outplayed PSU. Dang PSU corners again. Hey, what about Antoine Winfield's kid?
  17. Actually...Mike Florio floated today that all this London info is being put out by the Rams (via Ram reporters). They don't want the Chargers to succeed in LA...after all, that is their market. They are competing with the fans for PSLs. No better way to win over the fan base than to discredit the Chargers as only being a "short-term" LA team.
  18. I don't think parity leads to mediocrity. I think it should lead to more competitive football. I think your latter point has merit...with the concessions to NFLPA. There have been injuries this year that have really set some teams back. Is that because of the limited contact in training camps and practice? The officiating has had an impact. Calls have cost teams games. Teams that looked good last year and in the recent past are struggling this year with pretty much the same rosters.
  19. Thank you for saying this. There are very few good teams this year. Mediocrity is rampant. No one has played a tough schedule. So no one should criticize anyone for playing a weak schedule.
  20. From your mouth to God's ear.
  21. Excellent, Rational post! One of the best I've read!
  22. Apparently, he had problems staying healthy early in the season.
  23. Always a pleasure to read your take on the game, Pete. The word "unsatisfying" hit the nail on the head...yet we won by 15 points, 5 points better than the spread. Has the minimum acceptable standard for Bills fans become perfection?
