  1. Nonsense. Why should Travis come and play when he has made it clear that he won't play for the Bills again? He obviously feels slighted by the team (whether justified or not) and it would be retarded for him to come back and play during minicamp. Look what happened to our 3rd round pick -- why on earth would Travis show up and play for a team he knows he wont be with in the end? In fact, I think it's less of a distraction to the team not having Travis around because he clearly wouldn't be happy if he was. I think you're being a tad unrealistic. He did have a few decent years here and deserves the right to be traded somewhere he can start.
  2. Feelings hurt Don't take it personally, my friend. Rob Johnson used to invoke that warm, fuzzy feeling inside of all of us -- especially after reading the news articles and hearing his quotes. Flutie, on the other hand, seemed like a jerk from a distance: but all he did was go 29-19. Take it for what it's worth
  3. Put some TV cameras in front of me and I can make you a believer too. Unfortunately, saying the right things is not enough.
  4. You're better than this. Don't fall prey to the preseason articles. They do nothing but gush over any and every player. Personally, I'll have a "feeling" about him after 8 games.
  5. This joke stopped being funny like 3 weeks ago.
  6. Articles like this are all fluff. Go by what you see on the field. Bottom line, Pat Williams will be missed. While I agree with the decision to let him go, I don't agree that the D will just be hunky dory without him. He was a disruptive force in the middle of the defense and really made the linebackers' job easier. It remains to be seen if Edwards can do that. And if he can, can he do it on a cosistent basis like Pat did? We'll find out.

  8. Listening to the post-draft interviews, it appeared to me as though Evrett does indeed have some form of intelligence up there. Roscoe, on the other hand, sounded like a complete moron. I would pay good money to sit down with the Miami boyz (Roscoe, Willis, Evrett) for a few beers -- I think the combined intelligence of 3 is less than that of the average 7 year old. Pretty hilarious.
  9. Well hey -- that's just about Roscoe and Evrett's score combined!
  10. Signed as an undrafted free agent. Info
  11. You always manage to find a rose... Kickers are paid to make clutch field goals, not extra points.
  12. Kelly, do you really think you're "fair and balanced?"
  13. Please for the record, predict to the best of ability the Bills record this upcoming season as well as their standing in the AFC East. Thank you in advance.
  14. Agreed biatch! I will even go a step further and say that the Bills should keep him. Whether he's the starter or not, this is a contract year for him and the Bills have a viable backup behind Willis. I don't trust Shaud Williams anyway.
  15. I disagree with that. Granted he does make quick decisions, I have seen numerous instances where the line just held its own, giving Brady ages to scan the field and pick defenses apart. Matt Light and Dan Koppen were solid mid-round draft picks by the Pats.
  16. Quit dreaming... in fact, Travis never did whine until after the season was over when it no longer mattered. When he was demoted, he faced the press like a man, and said that he knows his role and accepts it. Thats the bottom line. Was he happy about it? No... but he repeatedly said that he accepts his role and was never a distraction in the locker room. When Drew Bledsoe was benched, he WAS a distraction in New England -- just read the book Patriot Reign. Travis, on the other hand, was not. He's not a smart guy but he's not a locker room cancer, either. I don't think teams give a damn whether he pouted or not. The market for RB's was dry -- plain and simple.
  17. I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I'd rather have a dominant cornerback. Yeah, that's right. If you proposed this scenario 10-12 years ago, I would say without doubt, a defensive end. However, recently offenses have seen a vast expansion in the passing attack, utilizing formations with 3, 4 and even 5 receivers to spread the defense out. A physical, tough shutdown corner can neutralize the offense's biggest weapon and that in and of itself handicaps the quarterback. I'll give you two real-world scenarios: 1) The Bills managed to completely neutralize Jason Taylor in both meetings by simpily taking him out of the game. 2) Remember New England's Super Bowl runs in which Ty Law shut down Marvin Harrison?
  18. Get your head out of your a$$. Flutie did not play like crap... he may not have been a Super Bowl worthy QB, but he did get the Billls to the playoffs for two straight years, something Drew couldn't match. He also came up big in big games... including the Miami playoff loss, in which he did his part. To the contrary, Bledsoe came up limp in any game of significance. If you don't like Flutie, that's fine. But to say that he played like crap is just plain assenine and I don't care that there are 300 homers on this board blindly agree with what you say. CYA
  19. No way. He's just not good enough. A 3rd cornerback is about as far as he can go. He's got solid cover skills and is athletic but is not as physical as most starting NFL corners. Not to mention I can't imagine him offering much in the way of run support.
  20. jesus christ guys let it go we all know that sooner or later something else will pop up even with the most stringent legilslation that will bombard us with ads and crap.and for the recors, steve was not defewnding him. only a maroon such as yourself would take his words so damn literal. he simply stated that there are worse offenses that have less harsh punishments. is that defending the guy?? he DID say that he believes the guy should get punished in some way. If i recall he said the guy should get fined to bankruptcy which I agree is a good sentence as well. putting him away is a waste of space.
  21. Hmm... I think he's being sarcastic.
