  1. Look, someone had to do it -- and in the case of OJ, I blame the moronic jury. I watched that entire trial and it was pretty obvious the SOB was guilty... what can you do if the jury drinks the koolaid? Cochran was doing his job, and that's that.
  2. For the love of God, that is pretty messed up. Have some decency people! The dude didn't kill anyone
  3. Nope. Maybe they were just posturing, but they said they initially entered in trade discussions with Dallas, but because Drew preferred to become a free agent, they decided to accommodate him and grant him his unconditional release. Moreover, they asked Drew if he would come back to become the backup. He declined, and they released him early on in the season. Are they doing anything similar for Travis? Travis has said he will not accept a backup role here, so why not expedite the process rather than drag it on? The author has a point about the market for running backs. We'll see how it turns out I guess.
  4. He spoke out in the offseason because and I think he is entitled to do so. The main thing is that he wasn't a cancer during the season.
  5. But that's the point - Travis actually was not a locker room cancer, even after he was benched. He also kept his mouth shut and never lashed out publicly until the season ended. If you want to see an example of a locker room cancer, read Patriot Reign -- that book on the Pats dynasty... it explains how Drew Bledsoe truly was after being benched in favor of Brady.
  6. All good "bro" but just to put my definition of great in context -- I simply mean that he was a top 10 running back for the Bills for two years. I didn't say that he earned a ticket to Canton. But in the two years he was a full-time starter, he was a huge component of the team's success and played "great" for them. Do I think he is a "great" player in the likes of a perennial Pro Bowl star? Not really.
  7. This article is accurate. Contrary to the popular belief on this board, Henry wasn't a locker room cancer when he was benched. He was a great player for the Bills and hopefully will have the opportunity to land on his feet elsewhere. Willis Mcgahee is simply beter, but that doesn't make swipes at TH justified. If the Bills can treat Drew Bledsoe with so much class, why can't they do the same for Travis? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...ha.henry/1.html
  8. Yes, on 3... everyone bend over for TD! One... two....
  9. Their core remains. The Pats will be right in the thick of things.
  10. What is your occupation and how do you manage to devote such an inordinate amount of time to endeavors such as this, yet still produce for your employer? Perhaps you are self-employed?
  11. Yep, in fact saw one of them this weekend.
  12. Agreed. I went to college with those boys
  13. If you're asking whether football knowledge implies real-world knowledge... the answer is no.
  14. Moron is a blanket statement, especially in the context of a football fan board. This isn't the math olympiad. Being a fan doens't necessarily constitute being a student of the game. So if you want to say that some people have no grasp of "reality" then I can agree with you... but to judge their level of intelligence on a football message board is kind of a stretch.
  15. For a starting cornerback in his rookie season? Those stats are excellent. He was among the league leaders in interceptions so it's not like he didn't make any plays. Add to that the fact that Carolina suffered many injuries on the defensive side of the ball... I think he had a solid rookie season. With Lucas covering the #1 receiver all game, Gamble will be a lot more effective.
  16. Incredibly nice dude... I too got to meet him during training camp. He was always the last one to leave when signing autographs. He and Erik Flowers are best buddies.
  17. Maybe, but I'm not sold on him just yet.
  18. Give him a year. Ohio State sure knows how to develop corners... Clements, Winfield, Plummer, etc...
  19. Thank you. Add to that that we aren't playing the pathetic NFC West next year, the going will get much tougher. I'm sorry, but I just don't think McGee and Thomas are adequate #2 and #3 corners, respectively.
  20. Didn't say our defense blows. Simply said that I wish our secondary was as good as theirs.
  21. They just signed Ken Lucas and they have two young studs in Ricky Manning jr and Chris Gamble. They have an awesome front 4... I wish our secondary was that good.
  22. Sure, he preferred to stay in Buffalo -- but he'd have to be a total moron to turn that kind of money down. He just set himself up for life and I don't blame him one bit.
  23. Haha seriously dude... nodarb was trippin
  24. Nonsense. TD's first moves in Buffalo were the hiring of Gregg Williams (a mistake he himself admits) and keeping Rob Johnson at the helm. Both moves set the franchise back considerably. Perhaps it is understandable that he made a mistake in hiring his first head coach -- but to keep him around after 2 years when it was clear he wasn't capable of doing the job... I don't think other GMs would have done that. Not to say TD has done a horrible job here -- I don't believe that. To claim that he has done the best job possible is a stretch.
