ATTN: Anyone who wants Marshawn Lynch
Dawgg replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely agree here. I have no clue what kind of player Lynch is nor have I even seen him play. But if he has the talent of a Jones-Drew, Maroney, or D'Angelo Williams, I would have no issue with taking him. I think it will significantly aid in the development of Losman to bolster the runnning game, add a great deal of depth and will make Willis McGahee a better player. -
ATTN: Anyone who wants Marshawn Lynch

There is nothing wrong with preparing for a free agent loss one year ahead of time. If the Bills have decided they don't want to extend McGahee under any circumstances, then there is nothing wrong with going RB in the first round. When the Bills brass decided they wouldn't sign Thomas Smith, they drafted Winfield even though they had 2 solid starting cornerbacks in Smith and Irvin at the time. When the Bills brass decided they wouldn't sign Winfield, they drafted Clements even though CB wasn't a huge "need" at the time. If they are undecided on McGahee, then perhaps you are right... -
When did this become a Patriots Fan Board?
Dawgg replied to apuszczalowski's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have a banged up secondary (starting 2 safeties nobody wanted). They have a revolving door at WR (Peyton Manning has worked with the same 2 receivers year after year. Tom Brady has a new set of targets every month that he has to acclimate himself to). They are starting a rookie 6th round pick at LB after losing Seau. Yes, they have a great defensive line but they face some adversity year after year that would normally sink the ship for most teams. -
Jerry Sullivan gives it to Willis with both barrels
Dawgg replied to duey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peter/Ramius/Willis Apologists, Nobody would be saying anything about Willis if he simply was a "productive" running back. Antonwain Smith was by no means a good RB here but at least he was consistent. Travis Henry had his shortcomings, but at least he laid it out on the field everytime he went out there... and those are the types of players that this town identifies with. Perhaps the slams on Willis' intelligence are harsh and/or unjustified... but if his production came close to matching the hype and if he played hard on a consistent basis, nobody would be bringing up the ticky tac things going on in his personal life. -
I hear ya on that one. While it's painful to watch the Pats win while the Bills have been a laughingstock over the last 8 years, it is refreshing to see a team that just plays smart and physical week in and week out. 3 titles later, they never get coplacent -- they have a revolving door at various key positions, sign wide receivers and safeties from the street, start rookie free agents in key playoff matchups and still manage to do what it takes to win. That Troy Brown forced fumble is a perfect illustration of what the Pats are and what the Bills have not been. So yeah, I hope they punch Mr. Downs Syndrome Peyton Manning in the mouth and beat the Colts this week.

Completely agree. It's nice to see an organization that just "gets it." They don't draft safeties and WRs with high picks, they are well coached and bottom line, they're pretty !@#$ing good, division rival or not...

Nice. -
The SYSTEM you speak of is Tom Brady. Case closed.

Oh PLEASE. Samuel played lights out yesterday and he's far superior to the likes of Eric Parker. There was no cheating. Nxt week will be a daunting task for him though.

I think that's a better comparison for TKO (rather than Cowart). TKO's work ethic is unparalleled. So is his intensity. Cowart couldn't come close to matching that... Peterson is very similar in that regard. Hopefully that comparison will prove valid.

... so true

Did you watch Julian Peterson yesterday against Chicago? He was a beast.

I join Willis in wanting the Bills to play in Toronto
Dawgg replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shhh.. don't break it to him. He spent all that time writing it out. -
Real simple, I hope the Bills boot MaGahee.
Dawgg replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well the bottom line (and what I'm trying to get at) is that WITHOUT those players, they probably would have been worse... so in essence these rookies ended up being major contributors from the get-go and played critical roles in some of the team's wins. And you're absolutely correct -- New Orleans is a great example. -

Nobody said they have to draft his replacement this year, but I would certainly think that the team would improve significantly by devoting a first day pick at RB. If Willis remains, we have a great 2-headed backfield. If Willis goes to another team after this coming season, we have his replacement on board with one full year in the system already. The Jags didn't "improve" by taking Jones-Drew high even though they had Fred Taylor on board? Think again. Jones-Drew single-handedly won games for them this year. The Panthers didn't "improve" by taking D'Angelo Williams high even though they had Deshaun Foster on board? Think again. Williams single-handedly won games for them this year. The Patriots didn't "improve" by taking Maroney high even though they had Corey Dillon on board? Think again. Maroney single-handedly won games for them this year (running the ball and in special teams). The Falcons didn't "improve" by taking Jerrious Norwood in the 3rd even though they had Warrick Dunn and TJ Duckett on board? Think again. Norwood single-handedly won games for them this year. -
20 RB's in a 32 team league are better than McGahee
Dawgg replied to RShirley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Moulds was speaking on behalf OF the locker room and as the longest tenured veteran on the team. Travis was speaking out after Willis was drafted (a year removed from a Pro Bowl). Willis is talking after a sub par year filled with hype and inconsistent play. -

Dawgg replied to RShirley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's incredible. When Moulds came out and said Holcomb should be the stater, this entire board was ready to run him out of town because he "needed to keep his mouth shut." When Travis spoke out and said drafting Willlis McGahee was a "slap in the face," this whole board was ready to run him out of town because he "needed to keep his mouth shut." Both those players have been to the Pro Bowl and were very productive for their teams. When WM speaks up about where he thinks the Bills should be moved to, the board is rushing to his defense. Amazing... -

Now now children... kiss and make up. -

Couldn't have said it better myself. People were so quick to jump on Travis' dealings with underage women (even though it later came out that those girls LIED to him about their age and admitted as much). Those same people harped on his stupidity and his inability to block. Those same people will defend Willis to the grave. -
Willis crossed the line
Dawgg replied to HereComesTheReignAgain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Precisely. I do think bringing in a young undervalued RB from the draft (like a Travis Henry) will do wonders for this team AND Willis. -

Stop making sense! You're a bigger moron than Willis! -

That he does! He was the lone Bills representative at TO's birthday bash in Cali -- you know, the bash TO was thinking about when he said he "tuned out" his head coach.
