  1. I'm guessing she's been looking over Russ Brandon's shoulder for a while now. She has the easy job. Beating the other 31 teams to the Lombardi Trophy is the hard part.
  2. The mental aspect of the game is clearly most important -- anticipation, seeing the field, making quick decisions, reading defenses, etc. Even without a great arm you can win a lot of games at QB just by salvaging a few bad plays and connecting on the easy ones. Just ask Bob Griese and the undefeated Miami Dolphins. Allen may not be as good as Griese, but he could also turn out much, much better.
  3. He's only a junior too. He and Edmunds will grow up in the NFL. 3 years from now they'll be the heart of a very good team.
  4. Well, if all the guys we drafted in rounds 1-5 are studs, then we look good.
  5. I know that didn't work with EJ, bur I've heard that his work over the past few months has already helped his accuracy. Let's hope so because he will be given every possible chance to succeed.
  6. The shoulder injury and lack of mobility compared to Allen. Arm strength too. Rosen is best in the short to medium range.
  7. No one knows what Allen's ceiling is going to be, but imagine if we had drafted our QB in the 3rd or 4th round. People would be asking why we didn't draft Allen when we had the chance. Also, everyone seems to forget he's only a junior. Edmunds is 19. We may have to wait a bit to see how good both of them are. Patience.
  8. I really hope Foster is a diamond in the rough. World class speed is nice to have outside. Especially if you just drafted a QB with a cannon on his shoulder. Bombs away!
  9. They are swinging for the fences with guys that have freakish abilities that can be honed into game changing performance. Both 1st rounders need coaching up, but their ceilings arer off the charts.
  10. I don't care who the #%€$ Josh Allen is being compared to because in the end it's nearly all going to come downt to JA. Josh Allen isn't JP Losman. He's not anyone else, so I'll just sit back and hope he will be great. He's one of us now. Let's hope so!
  11. OT, Interior OL, WR, TE. Let McCarron take his lumps while JA learns his technique and NFL defenses. When Allen takes the field I want him protected and with enough targets to keep the opposition guessing. We'll be lucky if we get a 4th starting caliber playor. I'd like them to draft multiple OL and maybe even a P or CB or OLB.
  12. Assuming Allen is our franchise QB, we've drafted 3 solid starters so far.
  13. I thought they'd go OL, but too many OL gone already and what a great value!
  14. I thought they'd draft Rosen too, but now Allen is a Bill. I hope he hits that very high ceiling and stays stuck to it for the next 20 years. I won't lie, though. I've heard the phrase "accuracy issues" way too often since Kelley retired. Man, I hope he makes it because he is going to need a LOT of coaching up for a top 10 pick. He seems to lack the mental part of the game, so hopefully he can improve there. The 'way off target' throws need to disappear too. Those are at high risk for turnovers. Also, Allen doesn't have anyone to throw to and probably won't until next year. Ditto for blocking in front of him. Let AJ take the hits.
  15. None of us make a living evaluatingQB's. I'll give him a chance. If he reaches his ceiling, it will be long remembered as the day the franchise's fate turned. Let's hope so because we've made our moves.
  16. Assuming we still have 3 picks on day 2, I'd like to use them on OL, LB and WR.
  17. Yes, but I'd change DT to CB until next year.
  18. I could see the Giants going Barkley or QB. If they want OL help, trading back with us makes a lot of sense for them.
  19. He's right. It takes 2 to tango, but it would be a huge disappointment if we didn't get Darnold, Rosen or Mayfield. I could live with Allen and hope the rest of his game matches his arm talent. I think we pick at 5 or 6 and get Allen or Mayfield. Best guess.
  20. Of course we'd be upset if we don't get a top 4 QB, but even more so if we take him a round or 2 ahead of where he's projected and wasting a pick that we paid so much for. Throw in the fact that none of the 2019 QB's look very good and I don't see how Beane and McD keep their jobs beyond 2019. I'd just get a guy like Lauletta in the 4th or 5th as an emergency option.
  21. What about doubling down on QB with Lauletta on day 3? The pinpoint accuracy of his passes amazes me. I know he went to Richmond, but that arm!
  22. Choose your favorite for the Bills.
  23. As far as arm talent goes, it's not even close. Allen over Jackson all day. I really don't want another inaccurate QB. Allen's also built to take more punishment.
  24. I'd like to get with the too many holes crowd, but I temper that when I remember that we'll have a ton of cap space next year and can plug a lot of holes that way. Plus we'll have another draft again in '19. I think we're a couple years away if we get a great QB this year and let McCarron win a few games so we can trade him for more picks too!
  25. To get Mayfield and still keep all the rest of our picks would be a dream come true. I know he's short and did a few dumb things as a boy, but OK. The most accurate arm in this class is what I'm excited about. I think his ability to make back shoulder throws will only help guys like Kelvin Benjamin and Charles Clay. He also has good mobility and that never hurts. We could still get a great player at 22 and would retain several quality picks on day 2 which we really need this year. And they are nowhere to be found this year. I'm excited to see how our new GM performs under fire. I think many people don't appreciate how good drafting can help a team so much. This is the 1st draft together for the ENTIRE personnel dept, actually. The Pegulas fired every last one of them down to the last scout.
