  1. I really hope not. I've always been a big "Cmon Beane so something" at the trade deadline kinda guy. But his track record at trade deadline moves has been poor. Kelvin Benjamin, Hines, Cooper. Maybe his best success at the deadline was Rasul, but even then we got a partial season where he was good and then last year where he was a flat out liability at times. And before anyone moves the goalposts, yeah the Diggs trade was great...but not a deadline moves as to what I'm referring to. Skip the deadline. Keep the picks.
  2. I am way more excited to see how Tabor improves the ST then I've been about a ST coach probably ever. Guy has been easily a top end ST coach in this league. Moving on from the tomato can of a coach we had should be a noticable difference.
  3. It's not about where they were drafted it's the size of the contract they sign with a new team.
  4. Or...you let him walk into FA. Let some team overpay him and reap a 4th or 5th round comp pick for an aging player. Hopefully, Williams continues to improve and is a suitable replacement. Or Olufoshnu (SP).
  5. But did he write it all out in his notebook?
  6. I predicted this as one of 3 possible guys to be approached for a pay cut when the season ended. Von and Samuel were the others. Good deal for both sides. Bills get back a bit of money with Milano having the ability to get it back if healthy and possibly test FA after next year.
  7. Burrow is a mirage of his surroundings IMO. That's not to say he doesn't have skills. He does. But he's greatly propped up by the WRs around him and the fact the defense is so bad they are in almost constant come back mode and have to pass 40+ times a game. Even Jake Browning looked really good throwing to Chase and Higgins 2 seasons ago. I see people putting him top 3. I don't see him even in the top 5 QBs.
  8. 51 catches 675 yards 7TDs. Zero games over 100 yards. That's what Cooper and Hollins combined for last year. Cooper's numbers were taken from only his games as a Bill. I would say if Palmer can approach that it would be a home run signing. I would be very pleased with that.
  9. That sounds like the plot to a shockingly good 90s sitcom
  10. I believe money motivates most. In LA the last few years he was making a good chunk of it. Why risk the body when it really doesn't play into his paycheck. Now with a 1 year deal, he is going to be motivated to play lights out (apologies to Merriman) to secure the big and probably final contract from the Bills or someone else next season. Can only get that by being on the field and productive this year. I see him playing through some things this year that would have sidelined him for a few games in years prior. He's got a lot to gain by pushing it as hard as possible this year...and everything to lose by being injured and unavailable. I think he's in for a career year.
  11. I hear his name is already on the wall. With "For a good time call....." Written above it. It's in Sharpie so that's pretty serious.
  12. Maybe he can come back as a "Bills Legend" and "Lead the Charge" if no one signs him.
  13. Holy hell, them gummies kicked in haha
  14. Redacted. Kids, don't analyze film after gummies kick in😂😂
  15. Wow. You're afraid of starting 2-4....don't even know who those 6 games are against. Does it just suck to live in a world of scenarios you make up in your head? Also, Bosa will get hurt? By week 6? You from the future? He may. His injury history recently suggests it is possible. But let's not put this is absolutes. He has a LOT riding in this season to include if the Bills or some other team will view him as a too EDGE again. His payday next year is directly tied into his performance this year. Can't do that inactive. My gut tells me the dude is an absolute warrior this year and plays through everything he can.
  16. One person being constantly overlooked here is Shavers. I am very interested to see if he takes some steps forward. I think he could turn into a decent role player and that fits right into what this offense does. My guess is we draft a WR late day 2/early day 3 and he and Shavers will battle Shenault for a final roster spot
  17. I really don't think 2 mid level rotational DL would be the difference between going 2-4 and 5-1 or 6-0 over the first 6 weeks. If we are sitting at 2-4 after 6 weeks it will likely be because we have much bigger issues than 2 suspended DL IMO.
  18. It feels nice until that phone that's a Mile High in the sky rings and it's Surtain's agent saying..."Hey fellas...we need to chat...."
  19. All depends on how the early part of the draft falls of course. But I'd say anywhere from 15-20 sounds right for him come draft day.
  20. Good for the players to get paid. The offense will be fun to watch as always. That said, is there any QB in history that's been propped up by the talent around him more than Burrow? Going back to his historical season coming out of college when he has Chase and Jefferson to the NFL where he has Chase and Higgins? I'm not saying he's not talented...he is. But switch him and Allen out. Drop Burrow on the Bills offense and this is a 9-10 win team. Drop Allen in that offense with those weapons and it would more than mask the defense and OL issues and Cincinnati may be a 14-15 win team. IMO Sorry when you have to pay this much to elite WRs you do not have an elite QB. You have Justin Herbert with more talent around him.
  21. This is the move right here and I'm embarrassed to say how much I would give up to get high enough to guarantee we get him.
  22. A head case coming off a major injury? Still wouldn't be the biggest risk Beane is taking this off-season.
  23. Injuries also will play a factor. For instance, let's say someone like Oliver gets injured. You place him on IR and open a spot. Push the decision down the road.
  24. You would be shocked if the Bills brought back a guy that they have let go and brought back at least 4 times? I get feeling like it's not doing enough and I didn't say that was the only move they would make. But bringing back a guy for the first few games like Phillips or Jefferson that already knows the system is something I would fully expect at this point in addition to a pick or two on the IDL.
