  1. Terrel Bernard looking around the defensive room:
  2. Hopefully Von's next prediction: "I will be a Buffalo Bill for a long time."
  3. With the 47th pick the New York Giants select: Tyler Nubin, Safety, Minnesota Help is definitely needed on the defense. We absolutely love the size and instinctive play of Nubin. He has the ball skills and tracking ability to thrive in Shane Bowen's defense. This guy is a ball hawk. We look forward to seeing him in Blue. @Doc Brownand the London Jaguars are on the clock.
  4. Could also make a smaller less costly jump in the real draft. Swipe Sweat or one of the other DL) here. See how the board falls and jump from 58 to the low to mid 50s unless a WR run starts. Would be interesting to see what Beane would do in the real draft if this scenario played out
  5. Franklin will likely win the popular vote here, and perhaps that's the right move. He's a solid player IMO. It's a pick that makes the most sense based on our needs and is a good fit. My vote however went to T'Vondre Sweat. I can't fight my built in desire to build in the trenches at all times, and this is one big meaty man to put in the middle. If we could somehow come out of this round with both Franklin and Sweat I'd be really happy about that
  6. Dick Jauron is always my example for just how little the post season awards mean. Former Coach of the Year winner. Along with Wayne Fontes. Both have a CoY award. Mike Tomlin does not. Sean McDermott does not. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I guess punting well has its merits after all.
  7. From a talent and the possibility that he will be a star perspective, I don't think anyone is saying no we just don't want him. Would be a fantastic player if we could have the chance to get him. But first off, it takes trade assets to get there. Bare minimum you're looking at having to get to the #4 pick if you want him. Now we're talking this year's 1st. This years second. Likely a few more picks from this year. Next year's 1st and second and likely more picks thrown in. That's putting a LOT of eggs in one basket. That also has a ripple effect. Now we don't have those picks which equate to several young players at low value contracts with high upside. And you NEED that when building a roster and paying a franchise QB. To get MHJ, you would either have to overpay or severely downgrade at several spots. Oh, and you have to have a trade partner. Teams aren't always willing to move 24 spots back in the draft when they can normally move back (even they even want to) a smaller amount and stockpile picks easily as well while remaining in a spot to take another blue chip player. And guess what? Even if all that lined up, the Bills moved up to 4 and got MHJ...there is no guarantee he's going to be what people think he's going to be. You know, it's really funny to me that when people yell about MHJ, they can't help the narrative about his "bloodlines". I fall guilty of that as well. It indicates absolutely nothing. Many people don't even realize that Jerry Rice's son is in the draft as well....he's projected as a 4th rounder.
  8. This is step one to the 49ers giving him a new contract. Didn't we see the same thing, the same speculation with Deebo couple years back?
  9. It happened last year, though not with a first round pick swap. More or less the teams agreed to it in a "settle out of court" style agreement. That said not sure that we see a swap of first rounders. Mid to late round swap could potentially happen, though IMO https://apnews.com/article/cardinals-eagles-tampering-gannon-ossenfort-2c625742d0c227bdc43c84fc7e78ac63
  10. I love this pick and move for Carolina. Gets their young QB a guy that has WR1 potential to grow with. Didn't give up too big a price, either. I feel bad for AD because that franchise is a perceived tire fire with a QB that may not be able to see him down field, but it's a good move nonetheless 🤣
  11. Honestly, it would maybe be more fun a game to go back into the last and say how a prospect that we the fans (a large enough consensus anyway) wanted would have sent a ripple effect to the product we see today. Example: Josh Rosen. Would McDermott have weathered that storm? Would we have a new GM? What about the QB now? Are we set or are we arguing that Tua would be a great get if he hits FA?
  12. The New York Giants have heard the cries of Western NY. And we've also heard you're into a WR this year. We are fully willing to send Isiah Hodgins back to Buffalo for pick 28. Heck, being we're pals, I'll throw in Jordan Phillips as well. Let me know!
  13. Without a doubt in my mind Shoen is the "Hey, um...ya gonna eat that?" guy in most office break rooms. Wouldn't shock me at this point if Brandon Beane has a quarter of a meatball sub left from lunch that Joe's waiting out to see if he can swipe.
  14. I think it's normal for most people to question some things. We've seen it throughput time with most historical events. There's always going to be a section of people that don't think what we see is the whole story and sometimes it's even proven over time to be right But this dude has alternative opinions and beliefs about almost everything. That's where I believe it crosses from normal to possibly dangerous to someone's mental health. Football wise, I wonder how hard it would be to, over the course of a game, get in Rodgers head about some of these theories he has. Start asking him questions on the field about RFK Jr, or that doctor he's so enamored with. Ask him what he thinks about the moon landing or if he's heard that chupacabra's are real and the CIA has thousands in captivity that they are training to be super soldiers in combat. I'm betting it's easy to make him lose focus these days.
  15. What? Johnny Cochran has been there for years.
  16. The Giants starting TE is debating retirement as well. Word must have got out that Buffalo isn't the only place to be to retire in training camp.
  17. I'll say this. Once in a while a thread comes along that is an absolute GODSEND. It not only reminds me that there is indeed a block feature on this site but it affords me the opportunity to scroll through and makes some new members of the club.
  18. One of the all time greatest football players. One of the all time worst human beings.
  19. And what kind of value would you expect another GM to place on a player that you describe yourself as having "availability issues coming off a knees injury"? This would actually be a "sell low" situation for Milano.
  20. Honestly, the best part of the move is the near $27M cap space that opens up for next year plus the extra 2nd rounder. With just a few logical moves next off-season, the Bills can easily have near $70M cap space if needed. Not only would that go a long way in FA, but there's a couple you g guys in line for new deals (Brown and Groot) and it wouldn't shock me if they rework Josh's deal to get his salary more in line with his performance.
  21. Ricky Williams. Relevant because back in those eras a RB was equal to the importance of the WR position these days IMO. Had a very solid career. Was absolutely not worth an entire draft worth of picks.
  22. Doesn't matter who the WR is, what his production ends up being or how long he's in Buffalo. They aren't living up to the hype of that trade IMO.
  23. The team that won the last 2 Super Bowls did it with a FedEx driver, plumber and my daughter's gym coach at WR. With a step forward from Kincaid and a step forward from Shakir, the scenario that makes me comfortable is that Joe Brady gets to cook with players he has a plan for. That combined with the running game with Cook and Josh Allen being really good at football make me believe we'll be able to score points and move the football.
  24. Rome would have been the pick there in that situation if a trade back couldn't happen. Most likely would have seen me with Rome and then try and trade up into the backend of 1st or high in round 2 if Penix was there to combine the 2.
  25. Yeah fully agree. Anytime you get a chance to send a feeler to 80085, you gotta take it.
