OT-so i'm reading stadium wall
TigerJ replied to its only real shh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"We were hit by that parked truck and may have excruciating back pain for the rest of our lives, Judge. All we're asking if 2 million for pain and suffering. If it had been a compact car it never would have hit us." I would probably be a little tough to sue the owner of a legally parked vehicle because you were injured when you hit it. I agree that he needs to take some steps to protect himself so he doesn't end up having to foot the bill for his bumper repair. -
I gotta root for anyone with the name "Tiger." Before his slump of the past couple years, Tiger was so good he forced other golfers to get better. He was good for the game. Maybe he can do it again.

Looks pretty good. Does Moore have the capacity to add some body mass or is he always going to be stuck as a DE in a linebacker's body?

Ron Edwards at 325 lbs (the same LISTED weight as Williams) has plenty of size for the position. He also has starting experience. He was not stellar as a starter, but now with two more years under his belt, he may be ready. Pat Williams was not a great tackle when he signed as an unddrafted free agent. I do think with Williams gone and Bannan apparently shifting to guard, Buffalo is a little thin at DT.

Will our first pick be a need pick or BPA
TigerJ replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, more times than not in the second round it would not be either or. The probability is that there will be several players that are very closely rated on the Bills board at the time they pick. If that is true, They probably pick the guy from that group who most closely matches their needs. Only if there is a guy who has dropped precipitously and in the mind of the Bills brain trust is a measurably better player than the others avfailable when they pick, do they ignore their needs list and go purely for the BPA. -
Knowing names/nationalities would help in the guessing game. Arab names - terrorism connection possibilities go way up.

I was going to say something very similar. There are a bunch of factors to determining value, but if we discount team needs, contract length, potential career length in the NFL, and current compensation, it comes down to the fact that Shelton has a bit better pedigree, having been a first round draft choice, while Henry has had better production for at least a couple years of his career. Shelton would probably not be rated a top 15 left tackle in the league, but for 2 seasons, Henry easily had top 15 running back numbers. Either those who drafted Shelton in the first place were wrong, and he's not that good, or he has some untapped potential. I have a feeling that Henry has probably passed the midpoint of his NFL career based on his recent propensity for injury. He doesn't have heavy duty size but Henry has a heavy duty style of play. I think that has begun to wear on his body. Shelton, on the other hand if he learns how to be more productive at LT could possibly play another 6-7 years or even longer. I think on average offensive linemen play longer than running backs.

I'd heard about Campbell's good recovery, Tim Euhus' too. They should both be at training camp. Rod Trafford is still on the roster. He'll never be a starter, but he has some athletic ability as a short term reliever (yeah I'm mixing metaphors here- or something) Then they've got a player in NFL Europe who can long snap and play some tight end. If Campbell and Euhus need a little extra time, the Bills can probably afford to give it to them.

Allen Wilson of the Buffalo News reports...

I try not to let little stuff get me upset. This is definitely little stuff. -
If these guys were on the board
TigerJ replied to Happy Days Lois & Clark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Buffalo does not get Shelton before the draft, Adam Terry. If they do, I like Castillo. -
Long snapping will be his ticket, but if he can block and get a bit bigger (he's 6'6" and 240. He ought to be carrying at least 260) and catch an occasional pass, he could save a roster spot.

Congrats. I'd be careful with the nurses in a Boston hospital though. You never know what they might do to a couple newborns if they find they are already Bills fans.

I'm not a Sape fan, believe me, but with Pat Williams bolting for a big paycheck, and Justin Bannan getting switched to offensive line, the Buills are thin at DT. Sape gets a pass this year just because of the numbers.

Offseason workouts at the Ralph are optional, but it's considered by the team to be a measure of commitment to the team. It's not supposed to but everyone knows that the optional stuff that players do affects their status with the team.

Not that we did, but we could have put his youngest sister on the floor with two or three toys and come back two hours later and she would still be playing with the toys. Not Matt. He would have broken something or gotten hurt in five minutes without someone watching him. He made life an adventure for sure.. Good luck with your challenging toddler.

JP reads TSW! ...says my girlfriend's sister's
TigerJ replied to crazyDingo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At age 70+? Probably not. -
Our son was like that (He's 22 now so he survived.) He was walking at 8.5 months and running a month later. We had baby proofed out house with all the little gizmos they sell. He learned to take out the outlet covers. He would put them in his mouth, then stick them back in. He could undo the cupboard and refridgerator locks, and when my wife had difficulty opening doors with the doorhandle covers, he would gleefully offer to open the door for her. He climbed on top of our old upright piano at 2 years old. He stood of the china rim of the toilet to reach something he had no business reaching and fell off hitting the back of his head on the toilet. He got a hold of spray perfume and sprayed in his eyes. He got a hold of a raisin and stuffed it in his nose. Know what happens to a raisin when you put it way back in your nose? I do. He's nearly knocked himself out falling into a bathroom sink, among his many hijinks. He later struggled in school and was diagnosed with ADHD. The bottom line is with a kid lilke that you have to give a lot more attention to supervision that to an average kid. He was our oldest, and it was a wonder we had any more as"challenging as he was. The next two were girls, and they were a piece of cake by comparison.

What makes you think Teague cannot be LT?
TigerJ replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I find myself wondering why eague seems unable to add any muscle to his frame. At 6'5" I would think he could carry 320 or so without too much difficulty, but he seems stuck at 300 lbs, underweight by today's standards. Does he not participate in offseason weight and conditioning programs? -

TigerJ replied to crazyDingo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My father's half-brother's wife's cousin works in a convenience store and and the other day a friend of Willis McGahee came in a told him that Willis posts regularly on at TSW. Not really. My father did have a half brother though. Only his wife's cousin was a teacher. -
I think it's Mark Gaughan. His brother, Bob Gaughan used to be at WGR, but ratings for their show were in the pits, so they dumped him and some others and hired Howard Simon. Now he's Bob gone.

I think there is a fair chance Tucker ends up starting at center. That would give Buffalo an interior line that weiighs a full half ton. That's a lot of beef. If that happens, Teague will move into the mix at LT. He was not a stellar tackle at Denver, and has now been at center for a few years. He would struggle for at least a while starting at LT. I think TD is still expecting to snag Shelton, but if he doesn't get him the Bills will be hoping that one of the players in the mix at LT will really step up. I'd rather not be relying on "ifs" at LT

Forget Olaf Pillar. TD Draft THIS guy - or you're
TigerJ replied to Nanker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Over half a ton and he's a DB. WOW! Gudmundson could be an interesting project. I'm guessing that compared to a big time division 1 program, he probably got inferior position coaching and strength and conditioning work. His numbers aren't that great, but with better coaching he may be able to improve those numbers quite a bit. He sounds pretty intelligent too. That does help. He would be a project, probably practice squad material at best for a year or two, but he sounds like he does have some upside. -
I wonder if the plan might be...Bennie to
TigerJ replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My guess is Anderson is probably less of a pass blocker than is Villarreal, though as we've heard pass blocking is not Villarreal's forte either. As has been said many times, McNally is a great coach and can hopefully bring Anderson's pass protection up to where it's not as much of aliability. I think Villarreal stays at RG, Anderson starts at LG. Tucker will be given the chance to challenge at center, and if the Bills think he can beat out Teague, Teague will move into the competition at LT. I don't think the Bills have ruled out getting Shelton, but are at this point trying to give themselves as many options at LT as they can hoping that something pans out. If they get Shelton he probably starts. If not, I think it's a crap shoot between Teague, Peters, Gandy, and even McFarland. Bannan probably ends up as depth at the guard spot, as will Gandy if he doesn't start at LT. -
